Lisa Marie's New Song... Is she out? Ohh, the lyrics...

It doesn't make any sense that *Anonymous helps make LMP's new album more popular because Anonymous wants people to see some hidden message in her lyrics and in her words to the media*.
    Or does it?

I don't think Lisa saying " I will find a new crowd and make a new start"
means that she has "found herself". I think it means she has awoken out of the COS fog and will continue looking.
She prolly feels very lost and betrayed right now after being in COS so long.
I hope she eventually finds peace and happiness.

  5. Lisa coming up soon on GMA
  6. Did Scientology convince her she could sing though?

Not to be mean but shes awful
  7. VaD?

I know a lot about Scientology.

John Travolta credits Co$ with making his career.
It appears that celebs in Co$ from what Ive read for years if a celeb wants to do something,
even if they arent good at it, the church officials will try really hard to make it happen, like
    Katie Holmes "acting" career

Some more coverage from the last 48 hours, mostly copypasta. All of these show up on a Google News search.

Is Lisa Marie Presley lashing out at Scientology on 'So Long?'
    - Arizona Central, claims to be "Arizona's homepage," by an author who writes for The Republic too.

Does Lisa Marie Presley tell the CO$ to kiss her ass with the lyrics to a new song? - Cele|bitchy, by way of Agent Bedhead. Rehashes Tony O stuff.

Does Scientology Get Slammed in Lisa Marie Presley's New Album? - Gather.com, by a blogger who writes about celebrities, as far as I can tell.

Lisa Marie Presley Slams Scientology In New Single [Video] - Inquisitr.com, by another glorified celeblogger

Lisa Marie Presley Releases New Single That Slams Scientology- 411mania.com, yet another blogger

There are dozens of other Lisa Marie news articles recently, but they are all promoting the album and/or softball interviews. Coverage from respectable outlets doesn't mention Scientology at all, or mentions it only in passing, with no reference to the lyrics.

If she is totally out I am so happy for her.
Especially for her kids who won't get dragged into the cult

    another soft-core story
    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/mus...y-tunes-in-to-her-roots-with-storm-grace.html

but refers to Scientology in the past tense
    but lol?
that's the one she picked to put on her own site:
    http://www.lisamariepresley.com/news/115-lmp-tunes-in-to-her-roots-with-storm-grace

So now she's not just hinting that she's left,
she's quoting other people who report that she's hinting that she left.

that's gonna be one hell of an A-E

She's more famous than scientology itself.

This could turn into delicious caek.

    /tinfoil
Scientology tried to blackmail her with her (potentially damaging) personal info and she called their bluff... ?

    As in:
Cult: "If you leave, we'll reveal the real nature of the relationship between you and Michael Jackson... "
    LMP: "ORLY? I don't care."

This could have huge ramifications in Asia, the target market for Miscavige's LRH cancer. They still dig Elvis Presley, and his daughter's opinions will get news coverage if she blows noisily.

Lisa Marie Presley is going to be on American Idol tonight. Anyone interested in registering for the American Idol forums and spreading the word about Scientology abuses for any member who posts about her? Commenting on how great it is that she left while adding David Miscavige beats his staff, and then cross-posting responses here?

Speaking of, I was asking the magic 8-ball today, and it spit back some nice, shiny tinfoil at me.
Jennifer Lopez Leaving 'American Idol': Report

    5/16/12

A commenter on this article has a tinfoil idea that I thought was worth thinking about. I don't think J.Lo is a Scientologist, but I think she is an apologist. Commenter elucidates why he thinks J.Lo might be leaving American Idol

    Tinfoil Comment permalink

J.Lo says she is Catholic, but her father has been in the cult for 20 years.

Scientology is thought by some to have caused J.Lo's split with Marc Anthony, if you'll recall.

...So, maybe they threaten J.Lo for taking daddy away if she doesn't get out from American Idol and that pesky nasty SP Lisa Marie?
If you take that turn, it kind of makes sense and the tinfoily poster can have SOME kind of reason.

But I hate assumptions and tinfoil...it's uncomfortable as underwear.

Video for "You ain't seen nothin' yet" is up on YouTube. Don't just watch the video here. Go there and look at the top-rated comment.

The video's publisher account is named amfmstudios and appears to be a music&video production company in Texas, also an online music magazine. They've posted this video as part of their album promo coverage of LMP found here: Lisa Marie Presley Launches New Album Storm & Grace with TV Appearances

Every day that the top-rated comment remains about her leaving Scientology is another day she is publicly being suppressive. If that remains the top-rated comment longer than a week, my money is on LMP being out.

You've found a YouTube video with a lot of views, but it is not the Music Video for the song. That account holder is just some guy, if you click through to his account. His video has been up for a month or more, while the one I just posted has been up for a day.

Here's a link to the full list of comments. If you ctrl+f Scientology you'll see that shenanigans are occurring. There are plenty of suppressive comments.

    I don't get it:

    Does she now sing well?

Or does she now sing well 'cause she sings about her whole-lifetime involvement having been bad?

Is this a discussion of an artist and her artistism, or is it... What is it?
  27. Anonymous Member

She does not sing AWESOME or like angels, but she can handle herself with her songs. Maybe her tone is too tired and slightly "rough" for some. I don't say she is singing like the best singer EV4R, but she does sing nice. Just...well, rough voice, too r&b or something like that for my musical taste.

Her songs now talk directly to something that seems more like the worst decision ever made by her. I would say that adds some points.

And we are talking about the lyrics, not her voice. Now shut up and go make me a sandwich. I'm hungry.

Has she covered "blue suede shoes" yet?

I'm posting so much to this thread b/c it's still not clear whether she is out of the cult, although the 8-ball told me "Signs point to yes," this morning.

The American Idol video shows her family in the audience to a nation-wide viewing of nearly 20 million people, meaning she is not Disconnected from them. She calls herself suppressive and transgressive in the song she sings, a released single with a music video.

She's out and took her whole family with her, or she's out and not Disconnected from her family, or she's still in and letting wild speculation about her leaving Scientology run rampant on the internet while singing songs about being suppressive and overtly hostile to religion.

The third seems unlikeliest, but you tell me. The title of the thread asks a question that we're seeking to answer.

Incidentally, the fact this album is getting pretty good reviews backs up something I've long thought about the Scientology cult, and cults in general. They suck the art right out of you. They can't remove the talent of someone like Chick Corea, but all of his recent stuff is lifeless and cold, if technically accomplished.

I've noticed the same thing with Beck, who has had commercial success before and after going back to the cult, but again, whose more recent work has been without the innovation and liveliness of his earlier work.

This may be why actors are the one class of artist who seem to stay good even while in the cult. At least a certain class of actor isn't creative at all. They just do what they're told and say other people's words and express other people's emotions. That sounds to me like what any cultist does.

She might be out for now. If the Cult decides the publicity from her leaving is too negative, they'll go all out in pulling her back in.

They will send some kind of "salvage mission" to "recover" her.

Here's an example of the kind of writeup they do before one of these recovery attempts. It will probably differ somewhat with a celebrity.

Presley will already have some idea what to expect, though, and they may not even make it onto her property, if she has security. I don't really know what her practices are, but any relative of Elvis has to have some kind of paparazzi shielding to avoid constant harassment.
