Lol at UK Governement trying to control the internet is like trying to fly by flapping hands its just stupid : http://www.p2pnet.net/story/17996
Re: Lol at UK Governement Lol, I got banned from Facebook, cus of Goatse-ing some threads, and also exchanging "Nigger"s with Anons Maybe it has something to do with Gordon Brown ¬.¬ Because there's no way they would've been able to know I did that. Unless I was reported, but one thing is, most people don't know HOW to report these things.
Re: Lol at UK Governement Burnham needs a good kick up the backside. Metaphorically. I am in no way suggesting that anybody should do this for real. But he is a dumb fuck. This is primarily due to his failure to read any of the hugely copious quantities of literature that has already been written on the subject of cinema-style ratings for web pages, and working within (or indeed adequately acknowledging) the systems and limitations that smarter people have recommended and accepted over the years. It's also due to the fact that every time he opens his mouth he seems to insert his foot in it. I hope Raptor Jesus eats him. To: Andy Burnham: LURK MOAR.
Re: Lol at UK Governement Facebook, Bebo etc. data (i.e. traffic and content from sites likely to attract Internet pedo groomers or anywhere that might provide innocent-looking cover for other activities that might not be in the national interest) is subject to electronic analysis in collaboration with government agencies. I mean, who doesn't know this.
Re: Lol at UK Governement It wouldn't matter if you weren't. Still, yeah UK government rumblings about strangling the Internet? Go fist your kids, Ministers.
Re: Lol at UK Governement Anyone seen Gordon Brown's New Year ramblings yet? BBC NEWS | Politics | Recession 'a test of character' Apparently, The British Public is to "display the same spirit" as their predecessors did in World War II. Although this time, the problem is "more complex, more global [than a mere world war?]". He adds that Obama is a leading light in the fight against the problem of climate change, saying that "I believe we can do it - and because we can, we must." Let me rephrase that last bit. we must because we can [we do what] we must because we can This speech is copypasta memes. Which of you pressfags trolled Gordon? Whoever it was - good job.
Re: Lol at UK Governement You mean a string of union strikes followed by begging bowl appeals to the USA after parliament finally figured out how to count? Ah, the shameful truth. Oh wait. Britain did invent the computer, but then decided to bury the news just in case there was any chance of developing an industry off the back of it. Brilliant.
Re: Lol at UK Governement hmm. Actually, when you put it that way it sounds like a good idea. brb begging on the streets
Re: Lol at UK Governement Andy Burnham buggers little boys. He abducts them from the street, violates them repeatedly, slits their throat upon climax, and dumps their corpses in the Thames. Fuck libel laws, and fuck England. Actually makes me glad to be an American. It may be crawling with fundies, but at least I'm free to call each and every one of them a dirty cocksucker!
Re: Lol at UK Governement Unfortunately for us, there are many reasons why any government fears the internet. mainly the free access to all the information contained therein. no one in power wants their 'subjects' knowing more about anything than they do. sooner or later the 'wild new world' of the internet will be brought under control, like every new frontier since the dawn of time. so, netizens, make the most of your freedoms now while you can. Oppose these restrictions while you have a voice and a place to air your views and maybe when the lawmakers finally figure out how to police this new world they may not be as draconian as i fear they will be if we don't make a fight of it. this site is a place to bring down scientology, but the subject ITT goes far beyond that problem and, ultimately, will affect all of us. this truly is the start of the cancer.
Re: Lol at UK Governement QFT. It has always been, will always be, necessary to fight for freedom of access to information. Generations upon generations have fought for it, and so far it has gotten us the Internet as we know it. Yay! Government and big business will always try to prevent and subvert specialist knowledge and truthful insight. They are the cancer. Whatever the Internet becomes in the future, it's down to US to make sure it is better than what we have now. Scientology is just a training exercise.
Re: Lol at UK Governement I like how the quoted part in the OP basically says. The internet was made by people who want it out of government reacht, but we need to review this position, since the governments want it in reach!
