Some of you may have noticed some brief (5 minutes at most) outages in the past few hours, reasons for this were: kernel and misc software upgrades, preparation and setup of an improved backup mechanism, some additional hardening. I'm glad to let you know that everything went smoothly so far, backups should soon be seemless, whereas up to now they were done in a rather "hacky" way on a daily basis, we now take advantage of remote and continuous backups. Meaning both snapshots and live backups are taken continuously, allowing for restores at any minute in the span of several weeks. Not that I hope this will be a necessity, but the latest additions should allow for a speedy recovery in the case of unforeseeable disaster and worse. In the unlikely event that you (still) have trouble logging in, please delete your cookies, close your browser and try again. That's all Update: I was a bit of a dummy but went ahead and setup a wiki, it should log you in automatically when you are logged into the forums. Please: mention bugs and glitches as this is still experimental. Will also be looking for wikifanatics, that are at home with the wikimedia software and won't mind helping others out formatting their articles and what have you not.
