I'm sure the girl who was raped had a significantly more difficult experience than he did.

This is a recurring theme in Stuebenville. "Those poor boys" I do not recollect seeing this so persistently in other rape cases. Maybe because they got punished this time instead of getting off because the girl was a slut or crazy or drunk or….

In response, the victim's attorney criticized Richmond's lawyer for showing no consideration to the girl.

  6. Cry us a fucking river. Hope you and your lawyer die in a fire. We'll roast marshmallows and weenies over you. Faggots.

What is really hilarious is his odds to brush this under the rug are next to impossible. No College will take him lest they want to be labeled as "the school that accepted a rapist"... Well, maybe Penn State, but... He's already disqualified for most employment opportunities (medical, school or any dealings with children/minors, and I believe most government jobs). Even fast food joints might not give him an opportunity due to all the negative press he garners. He's on the national sex registry list, so moving won't hide that fact as he has to report it less he wants to end up in jail again for failing to register. Not as if his name isn't already nationally known...

Long story short: He maybe ~16, but his life, for all practical purposes, is over. I don't give him 20 years before he an heroes himself because this continuously comes back to bite him in the ass and fuck opportunities up. I also bet he'll also be seeing more of the law because leopards (and rapist like him) never change their spots.

  8. This just proves that the guy is either a sociopath and/or going to repeat his acts again.

This kid is going to have to find a deep hole to hide in as the world doesn't fall off a cliff outside Stupidville. 10 says he'll find a nice home in Penn State after HS.

  10. Sorry, but I don't have ESP. So how am I suppose to know you are Drinking and Typing? Isn't that like deadly or something?

Besides: You get more caffeine in your bloodstream faster through the nose than through the gut. At least, that's what I guess since you snort lines of coke. Why not coffee?

It may not be him personally, could be his family or social group. He may actually have gotten the message in jail, but it sure looks like his surroundings did not. I guess in the end the effect will be the same.

One of the Steubenville High School students convicted of a high-profile rape in March, 2013, is now back on the football field.
Ma'Lik Richmond, 18, who, along with Trent Mays, was convicted of raping a 16-year-old girl in Steubenville, Ohio, is rejoined the roster of the Steubenville Big Red football team as a wide receiver, according to WTRF TV.

The case fueled an intense national debate about online bullying after hacker group Anonymous exposed photos and videos made the night girl was raped. The images showed two males carrying the inebriated victim by her wrists and ankles and other teens making jokes at the girl's expense.

I am fairly certain this does not honour the requirements for a registered sex offender. Anyone know what a tier two offender is limited to?

Back on the team? Wtf, really? He's 18 now is he even supposed to be around minors?

A Tier II sex offender is someone convicted of an offense punishable by more than one year in prison that:
    1. is committed against a minor and is comparable or more severe than one of the following federal crimes or attempt or conspiracy to commit one of them: sex trafficking, coercion and enticement, transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, or abusive sexual contact;
    2. involves using a minor in a sexual performance, soliciting a minor for prostitution, or producing or distributing child pornography; or
    3. occurs after the offender became a Tier I sex offender.
A Tier II sex offender must register for 25 years.
I'll keep looking for more info

Jefferson County Officials Name Nathaniel Richmond as Man Killed in Ambush on Judge Joseph Bruzzese

Common Pleas Judge Bruzzese Shot Outside Jefferson County Courthouse

Jefferson County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Bruzzese and city resident Nathaniel Richmond exchanged gunfire on the streets of downtown Steubenville early this morning in a incident that left the judge in surgery and Richmond dead.

Jefferson County officials this afternoon named Richmond as the man who allegedly attempted to ambush Bruzzese as he got out of his car this morning and headed into work. He is the father of Ma’lik Richmond, the former Steubenville High School student convicted in the 2012 rape of a teenage girl.

Sheriff Fred Abdalla said authorities are still trying to establish a motive. Bruzzese did not handle any of the legal proceedings against Ma’lik Richmond.

Richmond exchanged gunfire with Bruzzese near the Court Street entrance to the courthouse, Abdalla said, and was shot and killed by a common pleas court probation officer who was walking in Dollar Alley between buildings from Fourth Street to Court Street when the shooter turned on him.

“Whoever thought this could happen here,” Abdalla said. He noted local authorities are familiar with the suspect.

He said the shooter and Bruzzese appeared to have exchanged about five shots each, according to courthouse video.

He said officers are checking court records to see what involvement the suspect had with Bruzzese.

Abdalla said he is aware of threats being made in retaliation for killing of the shooting suspect.

“Police in the region have been notified,” he said. “I hope nothing like that happens. If it does, we are prepared to handle it.”

The courthouse is closed today while the investigation continues, and will remain closed tomorrow.

Investigators from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are working outside the courthouse this afternoon. An official update on the investigation is expected this afternoon.
