    I do.

Dallas, I appreciate you and Jenna and the courage it took for both of you to speak out as you have done especially given her family connection to the dwarf. The Ex Sci Kids website serves as a beacon of light for current and former Scientology kids. For all of these things and much more, you and Jenna have my gratitude and respect.

Many of us remain concerned about Mark Marty Rathbun, his behavior and motivation. His unwillingness to acknowledge his crimes speaks to one thing only: a lack of accountability. I can't trust him if he won't be accountable for his actions. Those things that he has admitted to like destroying evidence in the Lisa McPherson case don't excuse what he's done to others.

I'm glad that Jenna feels that he is "human" but I think that speaks more to her forgiving heart than his conscience. "Just following orders" is an excuse that didn't work after WW2 for the Germans and it won't work for Rathbun now.

Ask Gerry Armstrong if he thinks Rathbun is human? Ask the other victims whose lives were destroyed or had their families broken up or their bank accounts drained.

Ask the people he put into the RPF and who are still there today.

For now, Mark Marty Rathbun serves as a useful tool in the fight against the cult of Scientology. Nothing more and perhaps much less.

Hey Dallas! Always good to hear from you. Yep we all have our own little crazinesses, but we are going to put an end to the totally cruel and demented Miscavige regime.

I think it’s safe to say that many, if not most Anons have mixed feelings about Marty.
On the one hand, he’s done a lot to expose the abuses of DM and SCN. That takes guts and he clearly deserves credit for that. He’s also proved to be quite effective as a focal point in not only getting Scientologists to leave, but to do so publicly. Like it or not, his “DM is bad but the tech is good” message (and I for one can’t stand the message) reaches people within SCN that we otherwise never would.

On the other hand, his dog in the hunt is his auditing business, which clearly gets a boost from his activities as a critic. His arrogance and cocksure attitude are alienating to pretty much everyone, but then, he’s the one who has to live with himself.

Does he have more to answer for than he’s admitted to already? It would almost certainly seem so. Is anyone going to have much luck getting that out of him? That doesn’t appear to be very likely.

For now it seems the best we can do is to just continue doing what we do and allow him and his fans to do their thing. If it turns into a dangerous cult (which doesn’t really seem particularly imminent), we’ll deal with it then.

    Fuck Marty.

I'm taken aback by Dallas' comments about Aaron Saxton. Aaron is one of the very few ex's who has shown remorse for the things he's done.

I find it uncomfortable that of everything going on around the cult, that Dallas would find the time to write a fluffy, positive post about Rathbun and make jabs at Aaron Saxton.

I'm sure the majority of people who were handled by Rathbun don't feel he was human. Of course, those people didn't have the luxury of having the last name "Miscavige".

If anyone has to ask why Aaron Saxton is angry, then they aren't paying attention. I think plenty of exs are in the same boat as Aaron, plenty even far angrier, but they just lack the courage to do what he has or don't have the ability to speak as passionately.

(Not that there aren't good reason that some exs must remain in the shadows or be silent - I get that)

    But I'm just sayin

People just get sick of Marty rationalizing his actions - even if he did regret them at the time it doesn't matter because he did them anyway. Trying to blame everything on DM is a cop out. His main interest seems to be in making sure some of that cult $ starts flowing directly into his pockets - keep the con alive as long as he can be in charge.

Many exes are doing this, just not as publicly as Marty.

I know people (former members, OG critics) who were directly harmed by actions of Marty Rathbun and they're still waiting for their apologies.

I'm of the opinion that it's Na Ga Ha Pn. I'm also of the opinion that Marty's either (a) trying to start his own kult or (b) positioning himself to take over Scn after what he believes will be a successful coup d'etat to dump Davey. (Good luck on that one, Marty, I think there are probably 50 people ahead of you in line.)

I don't get why everybody here seems to think marty wants to take over scientology or is planning to keep scientology going. Based on everything he says it would seem to me that he already believes his little group to be legitimate scientology. I don't think there's any question he wants to assume formal leadership of the church. I mean, I think marty already sees himself as carrying on "legitimate" scientology.

Your hypothesis might be right. It does not falsify the hypothesis of Marty trying to make his takeover. This last hypothesis (him taking Miscavige's place) is, IMHO, the most dangerous, so I think we should prepare for both scenarios, with emphasis in the last one.

Re: Marty vs OG vs Anons vs, vs, vs - Cross Post

I didn't see it as him taking jabs at Aaron, he was just trying not to single out Marty. And was saying that Jenna doesn't think marty is the devil even after doing all of the things he did.

But sociopaths usually have a charm that often enables their victims to forgive them because the victim cant rationalize the attack as being personal.

Oh I wasn't clear enough. I think Marty, already sees himself as taking David Miscavige's place, whether that means replacing Miscavige within the existing organizational structure of the church or by drawing all scientologists away from the corrupt current incarnation of the CoS to his "pure" or "true" scientology sect. I mean I think he sees himself as the the carrier of "legitimate" scientology.

Whoa whoa whoa. I am not saying Marty has came fully clean, all I am saying is that at least he's doing something. I know for a fact he hasn't tried to right every wrong as he has never gotten ahold of myself or Jenna though he personally oversaw the prevention of us getting married and making my parents spend $1000s on useless actions.

And like I said Aaron has done more for Anzo than anyone thus far.

My point is let people fight how they want to fight. As long as they are not bringing a knife into the octagon let them have at it. Whether you are a Gracie, Ortiz or Hughes fan, you still don't mind watching any of them have at it.

If you really get butthurt about it than maybe you should stop reading their posts but based on how much each of there names get brought up here and all other boards to me means they are accomplishing something.

Yeah, but if Marty really wants to cash in and become the new Hubbardian Honcho he will need those copyrights. So I think it's not a reach to think he might have visions of a coup dancing in his head.

He doesn't seem to be trying to destroy the organization itself at all - just Miscavige. Marty's whole attitude implies to me that he thinks Co$ would be just fine if someone else were in charge...

Re: Marty vs OG vs Anons vs, vs, vs - Cross Post

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm glad you added this follow-up. I think your crack about "CBO Assistant and ordering around" is what made people think you were taking a swipe at Aaron - who has made clear that's not trying to order anyone around just encouraging people to step up to the plate the best way he knows how.

As you can see however Marty is a very sore and sensitive subject here so any mention of Scientology's new self-appointed savior gets the blood boiling for some round here. Most of us <3 Aaron and his actions as much as we mistrust Marty and his actions.

You are correct, the amount of mentions they get on the board is an indication of the amount of shit they are stirring. I hope it continues far into the foreseeable furture.

Re: Marty vs OG vs Anons vs, vs, vs - Cross Post

But it is how they "stir shit up" that defines them. Marty would be better at dishing out the inside scoop, and Aaron is best at manning up and leading by example. Unfortunately I feel they have their rolls reversed, however I am glad that Aaron is doing his best at taking up the slack.

Yes, he's still in teh system. What you might not comprehend is that Rat Buneez knows it is all crap, think about this and let us hear some conjecture.

From many perspectives the eschelon has been laughing at the troops for quite a while.
