Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scilons

Measurable Solutions (:: MEASURABLE SOLUTIONS :: Practice Management and Consulting Solutions for the Physical Therapy Profession)
    fired a Scientologist for:
    (a) browsing the Internet re anti-Scientology websites, then
    (b) refusing to go to Flag for ethics handlings.

Religious discrimination and enforcement in the workplace?

The author of the Knowledge Report is Chris Zea, a Scientologist

and is the employee who exerted pressure on the employee.

The employee was told she had to go to Flag (Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, Inc. in Clearwater Florida) for ethics handlings. When she refused, she was fired.

Measurable Solutions is just two blocks from Scientology's Ft Harrison Hotel in downtown Clearwater Florida.

In true scilon fashion, she was afraid to take this to the authorities (EEOC, anyone?) because she still had family in Scientology.

I obtained a copy of this knowledge report, though I won't say how, and have provided it here today minus the victim's name. Of course, Measurable Solutions will have the name of their victim since they wrote the report.

I have known many people to work for Measurable Solutions over the years. They were ALL Scientologists. The SENIOR purpose of Measurable Solutions is to get people into Scientology, for which MS will receive a fat commission check. The organization of MS in the meantime provides the scilons with jobs, income and a way of spreading Scientology through the dissemination of L. Ron Hubbard's "Management Technology".

Here's just one of many disclosures of Measurable Solutions' true motives:

"Our very own field auditing group"? I never noticed THAT in the email before!

Ok... let me sum this up:

    1. Scientologists run a business and solicit professionals
    2. They teach them Hubbard admin techniques
    3. They encourage them to become Scientologists
    4. They send the professionals to their own auditing group
    5. When the professionals outgrow the auditing group, they send them to a Church of Scientology and gain a commission for that, too.
    6. Any employees at MS who are anti-Scientology will be fired on the spot

This person should go to the authorities, i'm sure we all would agree. She lost her job, and the economy is rough right now so finding another one might be difficult, especially if they decide to try fair gaming her.

Plus, firing someone over something like this is utter bullshit. None of what is mentioned that she went to is objectionable to the general public nor is it pornography, so firing someone over something like this has to violate a law or two.

I'm pretty sure this violates a non-discriminatory clause of some sort. If the person in this can jump on it, that'll be a successful lawsuit.

That is a perfect example of a Knowledge Report. Scientolgists reporting on each other.

Sounds like wrongful termination BUT Florida is an "at will" state which makes it trickier.
The wronged employee would need to act on this, IMO IANAL

OP if you have anyway to get in touch with this person see if you can find the kind of support she will need to consider coming forward.
She is obviously aware that there is a critics community but it is all very distant to her now. the lack of a check and her family still in are much closer.

I deal with labor laws IRL.
There are three kinds of sued in that letter.

    EDIT: Big win. Thanks.

any brave clearwater anons want to interview for her position, do something "out-ethics" but not fire-able, e.g. where an anonymous pin to work, in order to get MS' management to violate labor laws so you can sue the ever-living fuck out of them?

"at will" employment laws are trumped by the civil rights act, don'tcha know?

i thought of a better idea for how to get fired so you can sue: take psychiatric meds at work. i'm sure some of y'all cw anons are on happy pills.

They will possibly be disconnected anyway or risk being labeled PTS or SP.

Now the whole family will possibly have to pay thousand of dollars in penalties/auditing.

    OP is Epic though

Even in states with 'at will' employment, there are almost always laws about racial & religious discrimination.

You can't fire or not hire someone for being black in an 'at will' state. Same goes for religion.

  17. Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Scientology sets up companies like Measurable Solutions all over the world through it's WISE (World Institute of Scientology Enterprises) operations. They target dentists, chiropractors, physical therapy operations, etc and offer consulting services for 10% of additional revenue generated by scilon pressure. They take over hiring (more scientologists) and office management under the guise of business consulting and use their position for recruiting current employees into Scientology for "training". They put themselves in position to fire people for not following "their" policies. You'll find that some of Scientology's biggest donors own these scam companies that often go bankrupt only to set up similar operations under a new name. I believe many of these companies are often overlooked scams that generate millions for Scientology. WISE also sets up many telecommunication companies, eco-energy companies, etc that reap benefits from government assistance and contribute heavily to Scientology. The video below is a fine example of your typical OT businessman at work for the most ethical group on the planet. The following company FAS (Foreclosure Assistance Solutions) ripped off thousands of homeowners with "alleged" scam artist and a former owner Herb Zerden at the helm. Herb has achieved some of the the highest levels of "religious training" in Scientology and is highly regarded as a Founding Patron Meritorious in the IAS (International Association of Scientologists). http://www.anti-scientologie.ch/ias-2005.htm#Highest Donors. Donors who have contributed over 250,00.00 to the "Church". He has been involved in many WISE companies.

I thought WISE was supposed to be disbanded per IRS agreement on the tax exempt status ?

I know there was no penalty stipulated in the contract, but that doesn't mean that no penalty at all should be given, like revoking the tax exempt status would be the perfect penalty in this case one would think ?

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Actually I doubt she would have any possible claim as I am pretty sure that they will have a clause added to their employment contracts not to search Scientology on work computers. Would imagine most companies would have such clauses for gambling and pornography sites so bet they sacked her for that.

However agree that no normal company would send a report to your church. And whats the 'have you searched at home' all about. :(

oh yeah for sho she's fucked. probably wouldn't pursue it anyway, but these letters make for delicious footbullet to present to media. "employee fired for searching 'scientology'" has a nice ring to it, don'tcha think?

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Is there no way to stretch "standing" to sue here? I know zip about labor law other than how to fire people for cause in an at will state without having to pay unemployment, but it seems to me if it is this clear cut and dried there ought to be a way for a third party to sue on behalf of _____?

Fill in blank if there is one... ? No clue, but this is just too beyond the pale not to warrant governmental action.

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Exactly! Get this to the press! I'm sorry if that other person gets disconnected but that is not our fault. That is squarely the fault of scientology. Get this out there and people need to know that working for scilons will get this shit happening to you.

It's also interesting they are into physical therapy. First dentists now physical therapists. Hmm. I guess it's a way to try to backdoor into the medical community. It's interesting because one of the OT 8's in Cincinnati whose seminar we crashed back in November is a chiropractor as is his naked accomplice, Mike the ex football player turned nude OT V.

Looking up local dentists and doctors (esp. chiropractors) and searching them up on the scilon completion site may yield interesting nuggets of info and dox on prominent scilons.

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

I work the other side of the street but I would be afraid that the “hostile work environment” alone would be actionable. Religious discrimination is also an issue but LDS gets away with it out west all the time. Bottom line: there is no way in hell dismissing someone for looking at a site that is critical of or mocks a “religion” is legal.
The yellow pages are full of ambulance chasers that would get a huge hard on over this letter.

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Organized scientology is a good fit for sociopaths like Herb Zerden, Reed Slatkin, David Miscavige, and Jesse Remmers.
    L. Ron Hubbard stated: "Never compromise with your own reality" and "Never fear to hurt another in a just cause". While Hubbard rants against "anti-social personalities", he was referring to anyone who objected to his congames and dishonesty. He redefined the term to suit his purposes.
Organized scientology is demonstrably one of the most anti-social organizations on the face of the Earth.

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

    QFMFT

Agreed. The whole thing IMHO traces back to Hubbard's concept of being "out exchange." Even IF (and I've literally NEVER seen or read about a case where it's true) $cientologists actually do a good thing in the world, at the core there is some cost/benefit analysis going on that CLEARLY puts $cientology as coming out of that "transaction" on top in terms of benefit.

Money and power are literally the only thing that drives them.

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

She wasn't fired for looking at the sites, she was fired for refusing to go to Flag to get sec checked. Now why would a company send an employee to a church when they got in trouble at work?? That's gotta be discrimination. What if 7-11 made all the clerks go to confession at a Catholic church everytime they stole a coke? And one refused to go to confession and they fired his ass?

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Is she a scientologist herself? If yes, she is being sent to Flag because she committed the crime of looking at anti=scientology sites on-line. Note how he asked if she did this at home. As a scilon, if you refuse ethics handling (sec check) , you are in some mighty big trouble and can get kicked out. So is she a scilon or not? Most scientology companies want scilons working there or make their new employees take courses (get them in the cult too)

^ this is what I'm sayin! If she's a $cilon then this is the single most BLATANT example of "religious discrimination" (bordering on PERSECUTION) I've ever heard of in my life.

Surely this can be sued Jane Doe v. $cientology by the DOJ without having to have a plaintiff for a labor violation?!!

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

Well when Scientology did disband it seems to me that WISE got sent over to the "inspector general's network". That would place this in the religious discrimination/forced religion file. OR if WISE is not part of Scientology it seems they would be in violation of the IRS agreement. I think it is EITHER / OR and once again Scientology will be wanting it both ways.

(of course there is the always the chance I could be missing an option)

Also if she sues Scientology she doesn't need to worry about the disconnection at least not until the suit is over with. But as Michael put it "the diconnected person may not like you for it".

Re: Measurable Solutions fires employee for browsing Xenu sites; MS goal to make scil

She WAS a Scientologist. I suspect she was having some doubts or she wouldn't have looked up "xenu" and stuff. And the fact that she refused to go to Flag for an ethics handling is a big telltale sign to me that she was NOT going to participate further in the Church of Scientology stuff.

Since she was acting in that way, that's why she was fired.

I really seriously hope that the dweebs over at Measurable Solutions find these posts, look up the original knowledge report and report her to Flag. Then her family members that are still in CofS can get into some trouble.

(hoping, hoping, rub hands together, hoping, hoping)

You're right, she had doubts. They probably were looking for a way to get rid of her because she wasn't following the party line, she wasn't one of them. They had no control of her. Good for her for refusing to go to Flag.

I hope she seeks legal advice.
