Nice, have to check it out. Thanks!

I don't think I will watch that propaganda shit... want to preserve my sanity :D

Here's an interesting documentary about subliminal messages in advertisement.
Even if you work with marketing of graphic design and you already know what
    subliminal messages are.

I really recommend this one, you won't regret it:

Watched this with a couple of friends this evening, general consensus was it was okay, not great, rather low budget, but enough to provoke some thought, and like any movie trying to (sort of) explain the world of 'puters, just doesn't quite get there. Kinda sucks when the writers appear to have the bare nibblets of understanding a complex reality, and just like the real world most movies of this genre tend to be outdated before production, still kind of Windows ME/98 thingy. Not an entire waste of time, not as entertaining as Eagle Eye or Sneakers or some-such imho. For a small production it does contain a big message, watch yer asses.

    Then there is reality~

    Do not forget.

It's amazing how far they are willing to go.
Bit by bit they heat up the water and societies slowly gives in.

I always think of this test when watching a documentary like that:

Congratulations to you all. The only film on the night worthy of the accolade. Let's chalk one up for the good guys. For truth, democracy, and freedom.

The Intercept’s Laura Poitras Wins Academy Award for ‘Citizenfour’

Laura Poitras, a founding editor of The Intercept, won an Academy Award tonight for her documentary “Citizenfour,” an inside look at Edward Snowden, the National Security Agency whistleblower.

“The disclosures that Edward Snowden revealed don’t only expose a threat to our privacy but to our democracy itself,” Poitras said in her acceptance speech. “Thank you to Edward Snowden for his courage and for the many other whistleblowers.” Snowden, in a statement released after the award was announced, said, “My hope is that this award will encourage more people to see the film and be inspired by its message that ordinary citizens, working together, can change the world.”

Buddy and I just finished watching the Horatio Hornblower mini-series (1998-2003 by British producer MTV), really fun adventure stuff with remarkably high production values, well acted and a tonne of fun for those who like adventure/sea stories. I read most of CS. Forrester's work years ago and the books on which this series is based are real page-turners, the eight movies are based on his first three books of the Hornblower stories.
Here is the first of the set, wish they'd made more. As is stands though, you'll need a lots of popcorn and a fridge full of beer etc. etc. iffin you watch them back-to-back (11+ hours)

    THE DOCUMENTARY / / Synopsis
The truth does not exist. There is only the manipulation of reality. And you are the best example. Have you heard of the Bilderberg club? Do you know who integrates and what are its objectives? I should know because they already control everything… or so you claim.

Jack Taylor. Had a chance to play with someone's NetFlix the other night and stumbled upon this Irish mini-series, so glad I did, what an awesome watch for detective/mystery fans! We ended up watching all six shows (until 5am, ugh). Great cast, beautifully shot and produced, awesome villians, a real gem imho and I hope they do more of them.

IMDB, my 'go to' source for info and reviews~
