Northumbia idle going up for sale

WOHOO I have just been told by someone at the council that the "church" is looking at disposing of the building.

That would be nice, closed before it even opened.

Looking forward to seeing proper dox to confirm it before breaking out the Marcab ale for a party though.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

    That Brilliant news !!!

I hope they make a loss on the sale.

And I hope the people who have contributed get properly upset when they don't get any of their money back and sue.

One down - a few more to go.

Good job I've got a couple of beers in the fridge.

    WAYHAAAAAAAAAAAY !!!!!!!

Too bad Davie never officially opened it. Now they'll just say "what Ideal Org?"

    Still, that's gotta ass-burn!

You've got to be careful using phrases like that on this forum.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

    :D

Ridiculous idea anyway, trying to make an ideal org from an already seriously failing org.

Though I was looking forward to them having to get a bat survey done :(

    Expansion, yeah?

I have the beer in front of me now.

    Cheers!

(Maybe DM's discovered the SP who started this whole off-policy Ideal Org scheme)

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

If you were a cultist and you worked at the Sunderland Org, the sale of the nearby "ideal" org that you'd paid so much for might be the last straw, I'm thinking. Maybe one or two new people will be turning up at ESMB in the weeks ahead.

The Sunderland org is very seldom open as it is, due to lack of staff and lack of purpose. I expect Sunderland to be the next to fold, after a blow like this.

Excellent news. Well done everyone - and keep 'em coming.
  14. RolandRB Member

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

And to think Sunderland is a Class V Org. They are supposed to be open nearly all hours with a Day and a Foundation and raking in a fortune with auditing people up to Clear and auditor training. I think the Sunderland clams needed to be rounded up and made to pay for their ticket to the RPF camp in the US. Or is seeing all their money lost on the Ideal Org enough for now?

I have a G+T in front of me now.)

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

and to think they have 100% rates relief up in Sunderland
  16. RolandRB Member

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Clams - you reading this? How you gonna Clear the planet like this? What's the point of giving your time and money to a losing cause?

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

sooo all the members that contributed moolah to make it an ideal org are hopefully scratching their mulligans?

    This is great news

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

They won't be handed their money back - that's for sure. Alternative is for the holders of the money to buy a different place based on what they get for selling it minus all their fees but I assume they will make a loss on it and the new place will be a lot smaller. Half the clams money has gone already. And to think they are all in debt to the bank and trying to clear this debt while paying interest on it....... makes me feel.......

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

    Who is the seller?
    The local org, or RTC?
  20. RolandRB Member

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

    Effectively RTC.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Great news Charlie, passed there today but didn't see the for sale sign. Will pass again tomorrow see if the sign is up. A race to get the picture LOL

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

UK buildings don't always have a "for sale" sign; there's other ways to market a building - especially an empty one in poor condition. So... absence of a sign does not mean it isn't for sale. Also, the sign can go up a few days late. You might uncover first evidence that they've 'instructed' an estate agent by using Google.

That the failed ideal org should be sold off is a no-brainer, but this is Miscavige's Scientology we're talking about, and they don't always do the smart thing. Personally, I would have liked them to go on throwing their money at a hole in the ground. Ah well.

Most councils only give a business one year's grace before they start charging business rates again, even if a build/conversion isn't completed... so this is probably costing the cult dearly - and it's still an old nursing home on the inside.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Since the registered owner is the scientologist and Esate Agent Richard Pickles, guess who will be handling any proposed sale?

    Richard Pickles Ltd 0191 258 4500
    9 Osborne Gardens, North Shields, NE29 9AT

    Make an enquiry.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Odd. Disposing of an idle org by selling it? Standard Scientology Tech is to torch it and claim the insurance, isn't it?

Maybe the fact that it never opened means they don't have to worry about it being contaminated by wogs after they leave. It'll be interesting to see what method they choose to dispose of the failed Manchester one.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Interesting, does the source know if this is either just a possibility or a dead certainty? The scilons may have said it as a means to delay something, like having to show they are starting work; you don't usually have to tell the council your selling a building so I'm curious as to the context this information came up in.

Selling up an "Ideal Org" is a big loss of face and so quite surprising.

On the sales front if they want a quick sale they may try auction. The owner can ask that no sign be displayed unless the building is being foreclosed which won't be the case here since they own it out right.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Yep. Might've been a thread listing them here. Or maybe it was ARS. Or OCMB. I dunno.

There was a firebombing of a mission in Palm Beach FL. I remember that because a buddy of mine was accused. Last year someone blew, and revealed that the firebomb was the gift of a disgruntled boyfriend whose girl was working there.

Grey Moss Inn burned down mysteriously and conveniently.

I know there were others on the list.
Aha! If you google "church of scientology mysterious fires" you get some.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

It is a listed building with a hole in the roof. Obviously this was causing damage to the building, so we contacted the council. Their reply from June included:
This suggests they were under pressure from the council to do something about it, and perhaps the council could buy it from them? Hopefully the council won't be giving them any other sort of assistance...

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

If they don't sell it, it'll drain their money. If they don't open it, it'll drain their morale. Win-win, I say.

Curious to see whether they'll manage to sell it for more than they bought it...

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

Unless proven otherwise, the building is still in the ownership of scilon Estate Agent, Richard Pickles with no indication that it has been handed over to the cult yet. He must be feeling the pinch in these harder times. Of course he might risk having an SP declare shoved up his ass and sent packing if he dared to do anything so heinous with "their" property without DM's say so, especially after all those fake promises and computer-generated brochure images they produced for it.

Re: Northumbia idle going up for sale

This is the exact wording "the church is looking at disposing of the building." nothing about Pickles , my first question was are they getting any form of grant or is there going to be CPO on the building that got a definite NO.

How about a carefully worded FOI request.

Looking at the address above on Google street view, it looks to be a residential address?

An estate agent without a shop or a website? Interesting...
