I attended a meeting yesterday to discuss organizing an Occupy Mission Bay cell to support the central Occupation downtown. I want to talk about toxic activism. We locals think it's a good idea to have a neighborhood cell offering support and logistics to the main movement. We posted a Mission Statement yesterday after the meeting. Damn, you can't please everyone! http://xenewz.wordpress.com/2011/11/17/toxic-activism/ Faggotry. This assclown better pray he never strays across my bow. I'd sink this negative fuckwad.
^ IMO, toxic post, but good that you got it out of your system. Toddynho_squiggle seems like a pretty cool guy (if a little dippy). Disagreement is healthy and natural. It should be a struggle. Now, if y'all can just get along together long enough to get shit done.....
Maybe meetings like these should start out, not with a list of wants and grudges, but some basic definitions: what is a "civil disobedience" what is a "law" what is "legal / not legal" what is a "protest" what is an "occupy"
Or maybe instead of "moral support" and "logistics", a crack team of #OMB ninjas could provide #OSD with these sort of aids: http://forums.whyweprotest.net/thre...e-for-zuccotti-park.96477/page-3#post-1959824
