October - Theme? I recommend we get this decided ASAP. The sooner we do, the sooner we can get prepared and get out the press-releases. This has two parts to it: Part 1: Fun theme Two possibilities come to mind: Halloween and Day of the Dead. I heard somewhere on Enturb that people were interested in a zombie theme? Sounds cool. Part 2: Serious business Is there anything specific about Scientology that we want to address next month?

I was thinking that since the rest of the world is (FINALLY) catching on to what Anonymous is all about, that NOW would be a good time to focus on the front groups that use illegal/dangerous so-call medical/therapy treatments, like Narconon and the CCHR. But if the brainwashing thing is the focus, then we should definitely do some brushing up on hypnosis and brainwashing techniques as they could be applied via Scientology and present it in a way that's easy for the average person to understand. WAIT! I've got it! Why not use Battered person syndrome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and Stockholm syndrome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia as a basis for educating the public on Scilon brainwashing? Presenting it in that format would get the public's attention and they'll understand what Anon's are talking about. Stockholm syndrome may take a little more explanation but otherwise, taking it this route would definitely get them interested and properly outraged.
Re: October - Theme? I haven't yet been to a protest. So here's a n00b question: About how much of any given group typically goes in theme? Most of the vids and such I've seen have been suits and GF masks. edit: Also 'Mad Scient(olog)ist' comes to mind, though ... zombies also makes plenty of sense. It would also be fun to label a few with the names of Sci-killed people (though more in terms of remembrance than labeling any as a zombie -- if that can make any sense). And the addition of Mad Scient(olog)ist to the crowd also brings opportunity for Etain's suggestion about the front groups.

That way it can tie into pamphlets detailing those that have died due to scientology's negligent practices and dogmatic hatred of psychiatry/psychotropic drugs.
