Fifth International (League for the.../L5I) on Iran

This article looks at the history of Iran since the 1979 revolution, compares then and now and draws lessons:

    http://www.fifthinternational.org/content/mass-protests-against-election-result-iran-time-has-come

There are other articles on Iran linked to the right of the article on that page.

    One key paragraph says:

To co-ordinate the struggle against the regime and for such an assembly shoras (councils) should be created, workers shoras, students shoras, shoras in the shantytowns- all made up of freely elected and instantly recallable delegates, free from any guardianship of the local mosques or imams. IN short they should be just like those originally created in 1978 and 1979. They should create militias able to defend themselves from the Basiji and the Revolutionary Guards who will carry on, drowning the protests in blood in order to maintain the regime in power as long as they alone are armed and the masses are unarmed.

Other key points are: for a general strike, constituent assembly, building independent leadership, a revolutionary workers' and youth party.
  6. Fax number for getting info out of Iran

    From the Huffington Post weblog:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/13/iran-demonstrations-viole_n_215189.html

We have set up a website to receive faxes from Iran, which we will post online. Hopefully this will be another way for information about what's going on in Iran to make its way out of the country. Please disseminate this fax number as widely as possible: 001 773 321 0202. We will post any faxes we receive at iranfax.org.

Because I want to challenge non fun tweets to feel fun tweets. Once they feel fun tweeting I stop tweeting with them. I tweet like tweets. We tweet everyday. Last time I tweeted was a famous tweet. 18. Damn it! Why don't you iranian government people fight for your brothers and sisters? Your family and friends! Would it really be that bad that people can be able to voice their opinion? Do what they want to do in life just like yourself?

If they win the revolution with you working against them you know you will die. But if you cooperated with the people you will be rembered in history as heroes!

  20. facebook is the best source for news. many notes and blogs from inside iran giving info that will never make the papers. you get revolutionary road and a host of sources there, especially if you make the right friends. by far better than any mainstream outlet, at least for the time being.

mainstream: i believe guardian is the best

(pay attention to the bullet (?) being fired at 0:49 - you can see the guy aiming with the pistol at 0:47 behind the pole).
