    New info to me. Nice:
    A snip:
The FBI Raid, Threats and Anonymous
The FBI raided Moore’s home -- or more accurately, his parent’s home near Sacramento -- breaking down the front door and confiscating Moore’s computer, cell phone and other electronic equipment; and Camille felt compelled to move forward with The Village Voice article. Before going to press, she telephoned Moore for a statement. He went ballistic, cursing and making threats.

“Honestly, I will be fucking furious, and I will burn down fucking The Village Voice headquarters if you fucking write anything saying I have an FBI investigation,” he said

Ain't nothing to do but cut off their weenies. The waste of a weenie is a terrible thing, but when all your descisions are made from it, perhaps blood circulation needs to be rerouted to the brain.

Until today, I did not realize that KY was the OP of this thread.
I recall the battles and lulz and am happy to see this account which is so full of win. Pretty epic.

  8. Without the fear of being fired for a topless picture, or the fear that your parents would 'disconnect' if you showed your nipple in the boudoir photos you sent your boyfriend, none of this shit would have traction.

Thank goodness all my transgressions are on ancient VHS (if any survive). I will be a novelty, not an internet celebrity. At least my tits weren't past their sell point when I did those things

On edit: At this point what minority of the population hasn't film/videoed themselves doing it at least once?..fuck off with the hypocrisy already and fuck off with those who are offended by human behavior, mostly fuck off to those who would use that shit for illicit wanking material.

I wonder about this. Right now, the baby boomers are the ones in charge, but what happens when they die off? What happens when genx and the millennials are the ones in power?will they care about silly things like a nude photo or a private sex tape? Hell in this bad economy, a future employer might think its novel to support yourself with friggen pronz. Its a hell of a lot better then starving.

This more guy is pretty stupid. All it takes is for one of those pics to be of an underage person, then bam, straight to jail.

Hunter Moore on California's Revenge-Porn Law: "You Fucking Retards"

"I'm sorry I was smart enough to monetize your stupid fucking mistakes. This is fucking America, I'm gonna get my dick sucked, and I'm gonna get paid. I'm fucking — I'm smart! I'm hella smart. What the fuck? I took your titties and made money off it. And, this law doesn't stop me or anybody from doing it."

    Fun:

It's in retaliation to these comments that a branch of Anonymous have struck, publishing detailed personal information about Moore on PasteBin. The thing is, he doesn’t really give a shit, and responded to the threat by provoking Anonymous to attack his websites in a series of tweets. Which must seem like a clever thing to do when you're "coked out", too.
With bravado on both sides of the battle heating up, who will come out on top? I spoke to the Anon leading the hunt for Hunter Moore to try to find out what the plan is.

VICE: Hi Kyanonymous, how much support do you have from the Anon community for the operation to fuck over Hunter Moore?
Kyanonymous: We are gathering support as we speak, it's ever-growing. Anonymous is a collective of individuals with differing views, so some support Hunter Moore’s enterprise, some don’t – but most don’t, and majority wins.
I see. So, you've had to spend some time proposing this operation to the community to get that support?
No, Anonymous works like this: If you value freedom from oppression, and are willing to fight for it, and do it all in anonymity, then you are Anonymous. Me and @jackherer20 came up with the video, and the d0x file compiling all of Hunter’s personal info in one easy-to-use form, and it just took off.
So what’s the plan? DDOS his sites? Or maybe hack him?

We can’t discuss the details of the plan, that would be like walking through a herd of zombies screaming "Food!" I’m sure you can respect that.

THE “Most Hated Man On The Internet” is facing charges in the United States after one mother launched an unrelenting two-year campaign against his “revenge porn” site.
According to The Observer, Hunter Moore, founder of isanyoneup.com, is facing charges in the United States thanks to mother Charlotte Laws.
Mr Moore’s site allowed people to anonymously submit naked photos of themselves — but also explicit photos and videos of former lovers without their permission.
These photos were often accompanied by identifying details including names and addresses. It also allegedly published photos gained though hacking people’s computers.
Ms Laws began a two-year investigation into Moore’s activities in 2012 and spent weeks tracking down his victims.
She compiled evidence from more than 40 victims all over the world, and then led the FBI to his home.
In January he was indicted, along with co-accused Charlie Evens, for conspiracy, unauthorised access to a protected computer and aggravated identity theft.
If convicted he faces up to 42 years in prison.

  27. 42 years?

LOL, yeah that's a dumb amount of jail time.
But hey - it might mean he gets so messed up in the head with fear that he'll kill himself, and that would actually be lulzy.

The article doesn't say, but there's probably a multiplier for the number of offenses. Also, they're using the "unauthorised access to a protected computer" to really put the boot in. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy, but it's still bullshit to use a pre-Internet law designed to cover major corporate and banking mainframes to cover every computer and phone on the Internet.

“This conviction sends a strong message that this type of malicious behavior will not be tolerated,” said city attorney Mike Feuer in a statement.

    Rightly so, what a dickhead.

42 years should be a good amount of time for him to think and meditate on what he did wrong.

I'm sure some of the prisoners will pick on him; so it has to be justice in some way, right?

illinois Passes New 'Revenge Porn' Law That Includes Harsh Penalties

Posted: 12/30/2014 8:11 pm EST Updated: 4 hours ago
    n-PORN-large570.jpg

Illinois became the latest state to criminalize "revenge porn," crafting what its creators hope will become a model for federal legislation.
Gov. Pat Quinn on Monday signed a measure making the "non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images" a felony offense in Illinois. The new "revenge porn" law -- so called because the intimate photos and videos are commonly distributed by a former (and often embittered) romantic partner -- goes into effect June 1, 2015, and will punish offenders with one to three years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
“We believe [revenge porn] is a form of sexual assault," State Representative Scott Drury (D-Highwood), one of the bill's co-sponsors, told The Huffington Post. "The harm to the victim and the way they react to it is very similar: They’re not comfortable going out in public anymore; they fear being assaulted; they could be stalked. You could be someone working at Burger King, and now you’re a sex object.”
Carrie Goldberg -- a board member of the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, which aided in the creation of the Illinois law -- said the measure should be viewed as model legislation for three key reasons: It targets not just ex-paramours, but also random hackers who aren't necessarily bent on revenge as much as creating chaos; it forces offenders to forfeit any profit they make from the images; and it actually imposes stiff penalties on offenders.

'Revenge porn' operator to plead guilty in Los Angeles court | The Associated Press

Federal prosecutors say the operator of a "revenge porn" website who posted stolen nude photos online has agreed to plead guilty.

Court papers filed Wednesday show Hunter Moore agreed to plead guilty to charges of hacking and identity theft.
Moore was dubbed the "most hated man on the Internet" for running a website that posted explicit photos, including some submitted by former lovers and spouses.

Photos included an "American Idol" finalist, the daughter of a major Republican donor and a woman in a wheelchair.

The 28-year-old signed court payers saying he had paid Charles Evens to hack computers and steal photos. Evens pleaded not guilty and is scheduled for trial next month.

Moore faces at least a two-year prison sentence.

Revenge-Porn King Hunter Moore Is Going to Jail | NYMag

In December 2012, I met Hunter Moore, the notorious proprietor of revenge porn hub Is Anyone Up, at a bar on the Lower East Side, where he bragged about his "scary as shit" empire that made money off of posting the nude photos of women (and some men) without their consent. Three years later, he's facing seven years in prison, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, and the collective schadenfreude of revenge-porn victims everywhere.
