Hey guys, dunno how many of you read this, or are actually interested in doing some good deeds.

Some of you may have heard that there is a Help The Homeless month being prepared form 1st December through to the 31st. This is being done in every State, and other countries like the UK, USA, and Canada.

The idea is to band together, gather old (but good condition) clothes, blankets, food, fruit....Anything like that. Then we go out into the city, we find out homeless people, we give them these goods, we talk to them, we listen to their stories. For a brief moment, we will walk in their shoes, and we can understand how they live on the streets, WHY they live on the streets, and how society treats them because of it.

This is an outreach community based event. I'm currently trying to organize the Victorian/Melbourne project, and I have a few things going. I have an awesome friend from a pretty well known Aussie band helping me out, so gathering donations shouldn't be too hard with her and her band's/friends help.

Current things im doing: Organizning the nights where we will hit the streets and perosnally hand out some goods. Organizing a donation point, so far we're thinking the Lighthouse Foundation, which handles homeless children/youth and victims of abuse and violence.

I have a van to use to cart goods around, but what we currently need are some other activists, helpers, concerned humanitarians to help get together and help us do the deed of handing out goods. We need to find locations where our homeless population sleeps and hangs out, where they congregate, if there's areas to avoid or focus on.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Fantastic idea! I am planning something similar with a few members of Anonymous Ireland too. Please feel free to stick around and share your ideas! :)

    Haven't tried 4chan, I might give it a go.

My good friend that suggested the Lighthouse Foundation is the lead singer in a well know Aussie band, and she is willing to promote the charity for donations, and create an events page for it. It would reach thousands, and most of her fans and followers are of the same mind as her. Caring, loving, always wanting to help.

Like I've said to my local group, having one central donations charity for money would be a good thing, not a bad one. People will donate if they know where their money is going, and feel safe that it is getting used for the right reaosns. This way it doesn't pass through 3rd parties, it goes direct to the charity, and immediately impacts the lives of many. I'd suggest any group taking part in this determine a charity where monetary donations will go, and then promote that one, instead of hundreds of others.

Sadly we can't do everything, or help everyone, as much as we'd want to, but having a centralized donation point is imperative as far as I'm concerned. That way nobody can be accused of mishandling funds, they cant go missing, and they go direct to your charity of choice.

The frustration for me is trying to organize other local groups, who have their own ideas. Some want to go and work in a soup kitches, or a food van, as their way of helping, others want to walk around with the Anonymous mask on not doing much, and others want to give goods for US to hand out. I'd like to be out every weekend through December, knowing other groups are co-ordianted and in other areas doing the same.

Some people jsut love division though, so we'll see how that goes. :)

    Good luck Anonymous Ireland! <3

I've started doing this on a small scale here in my neighborhood already. It's cold and folks need help. Freaks the wife out sometimes, but whatever.

If anyone in Chicago is interested in organizing something on a larger scale, get in touch. I've got the seed of an idea in the works for a benefit the homeless punk rock show here, from which ALL proceeds would go to getting some of these folks things they need, but I'm having issues getting traction with the promoters I know. Nothing in it for them, blah blah.

    Anyway, great stuff.

I will see what I can do in the Phoenix Arizona area. Americans don't forget we have Thanksgiving in November and some go without Turkey that day.

  8. this sounds like a great idea to me, theirs a issue we have here in philly though, its fucking illegal to hand out food to the homeless in the street without a permit.... fucking ridiculous...

i would love to walk around the parks n hand out food, fuck the mask... but i could/would get arrested for it... so i say we get lots of annons together in these citys, where masks, and hand out shitloads of food in protest of these stupid and inhumane laws!
  9. RightOn Member

^^ this is true in some areas
And I don't know if food is the right way to go if wearing a mask or even if not wearing a mask. I can just see the COS (or others) posing as a homeless person and then claim they became ill or whatever from the food.
Instead of food you may consider sealed toiletries? Soap, shampoo? maybe some local hotels can contribute some of their stock which they hand out in their rooms to their guests?
Perhaps when it comes to food, you can talk to some local businesses who deal in food to participate in your cause in some way. Let them hand out the food.
Or maybe they would consider issuing vouchers for a free donut or whatever.

A homeless person in my area was just recently hit by a car at night. Maybe we can also add getting reflective stickers or some sort of reflective belt to hand out to the homeless. Old bike reflectors to attached to their backpacks maybe?
  12. cTp Member

Good Idea about the reflectors OB1, I have already reached out to MMM PHX's FB page to see if they would be interested in helping out. I met some of them last week and they all seem really nice.
  13. TRAJ Member

Ok, here's the first step (for me). I'm going to get up on black friday, cook a thanksgiving meal and take it out to the homeless camps along 90/94 here in my neighborhood. I'm going to put out an fb event for this thing, trying to get folks in other areas/cities/parts if the country to reject the commercialism of the day and fucking help someone instead.

Looking for ideas for a catchy name. Anyone? I'll post the event ITT (and in the process namefag myself, I suppose) once it's created.

Also, if you're in Chicago, get in touch if you want to help on the nw side.

  16. Softkitty Member

Plus I know it was done before but we should do the a couple days before christmas because the suicide rate goes up... its possible to mabye make an impact with that by providing like before

    hi TRAJ

    Hi Scarthumb
He posted that a couple of years ago, you can try messaging him here. If you don't get a response and want to work on this project you can start you're initiative. What you are doing, any organizational info, accept messages here from others interested n this. Thanks for helping the homeless, every year some of us help and often it's just one person in a city.
It will be GREAT if you can organize this in your town ( or do it with others)
Plz report here so others can join.

    Hi Disambiguation

Yeah, I realized that about 5.3 seconds after I posted, but had to go offline before I could rectify the issue. Thanks for telling me.
About Opsafe, I'm pretty much a naive dude from the bush, but I have some forward-thinking friends in the area, and I'll see what I can do.
Incidentally, I was wanting to contact you about some misconceptions I have about WhyWeProtest. when I signed in, I was under the impression that this was a front for
anonymous, but have since learned that WhyWeProtest does not welcome hackers. I'm still a little confused. Can you help?

  24. Disambiguation Global Moderator

We are Anonymous but allied chiefly with project Chanology.

"In its early form, the concept was adopted by a decentralized online community acting anonymously in a coordinated manner, usually toward a loosely self-agreed goal, and primarily focused on entertainment, or "lulz". Beginning with 2008's Project Chanology—a series of protests, pranks, and hacks targeting the Church of Scientology—the Anonymous collective became increasingly associated with collaborative hacktivism on a number of issues internationally. Individuals claiming to align themselves with Anonymous undertook protests and other actions (including direct action) in retaliation against copyright-focused campaigns by motion picture and recording industry trade associations"

We focus on legal protests because many people on here, including Sue, have been doxxed and are put in danger if they are involved in illegal activity. That's true particularly for the Chanology people here but US government groups used to haunt WhyWeProtest. They may still haunt WWP but by now we have bored them to death.
The people in Chanology are at risk from blowback from Scientology. They've been subject to Scientology's "Fair Game" including vandalism, business ruination and pet murder.
  25. Scarthumb Member

    Hi Disambiguation

Thanks for your help. I understand a bit more about WWP now. That Scientology stuff sounds horrible. Murdering a pet is one of the worst things you can do to a person.
BTW, can you possibly direct me to some threads that talk about Scientology? I want to know what's really going on.
  26. How come we aren't all doing something like a Ddos to all Trump and Clinton campaigns through all the webs and nets they employ ...Isolate the pages and strategize a masDdos and take them out of the media through major city broadcasts nets and sites ?
  27. Cuntsparkle Member

That would be illegal and we don't do anything like that here or hadn't you noticed?
