Philly Org - Dead, dead, dead.

Philly Org - Dead, dead, dead.

I've been watching the Philly Org at its new location on Chestnut Street over the past week or so. It's deader than the parrot in the Monty Python sketch. About half the time it's locked up & the crime gate is down. When it's "open", the video running on the monitor in the front window is the only sign of life aside from a jacket very carefully arranged on the sofa with its arms laid out looking like its owner had been beamed up to the Mother ship leaving just the jacket behind. I suspect it's laid out that way to try to fool casual onlookers into thinking there's a live person on the sofa when there isn't. The back half of the room is blocked off with a high, dark blue cloth screen, again fooling people into thinking the empty room is smaller & less empty than it really is. In half a dozen visits I've yet to see a single Homo Novis in or around the Org building. If there's any Scientology going on in Philadelphia, it's not at this location.

Thanks for the update! The last news on Pittsburg was pretty much the same, it thats still true then Pennsylvania might just be a nearly scilon-free state!

Where on Chestnut street is the Philly Org...I'm out of the loop (and out of the city), but I'm still curious.

Who was it, Jason Beghe, who said he did a tour of Idle Orgs? He mentioned that the staff had to run out to their cars to warm up, because they couldn't afford the heating bill. (that is a down side to buying a monstrous Ideal Org building or McMansion. One of those costs people don't think of.)

Cool of you to watch and report on the Philly Org. It's nice to hear of fail in the scilon sector.

2/3 of the events listed there were to watch videos of other idle org openings

    Last 'event' was Sept 11th.

List of donors is on that site - a list which I've always thought is a reasonable stand in for a census of all voting age scilons in an area, given their hard sell fundraising tactics (although granted some donors may not be from the city).

That's an interesting thought. Of course, in the UK, it rarely gets very cold but I am wondering how much the yearly heating bills would be for 146 QVS.

The great state of New Hampshire would be happy to welcome Pennsylvania into the elite category of "Scilon-free state".

In New Hampshire we have never had an org but now do not even have a scientology mission of any kind. Our state has been officially declared "scilon-free". New Hampshire has the other distinction of having it's own Anon Navy

    and it's own Volunteer SPs:

    Hi Larry!!
Wonder if some day, states can include this on their websites as part of what makes the state so attractive and to make someone want to live there. LOL
    Maybe under the population stats?
"We are proud to say that Pennsylvania is a Scientology Free state"

lol! only kidding, but I can dream can't I?

That's funny but, sadly, it's a good sign if there is no scientology organization in a state.

And one of the big reasons is that there is no charity in scientology. It's all about money, it hurts many people and it is a con as it represents itself as a true charity and caring organization (for the downtrodden) when it is neither.

Here is a picture that truly represents what charity is all about:

    shapeimage_3.jpg

I am proud to say that the young woman in the middle of that picture is my daughter. She was on staff in the CMO and left when she realized how insane it was and how it was not helping others. Organized scientology tried and failed to separate her and myself.

She's a jet pilot in Southeast Asia and spends much of her free time helping children and women who have great needs.

One example of what she does to help is represented in the above picture. The children you see around her have all fled war torn countries and some are orphans. One of the little girls wrote her first essay in English due to my daughter's help. The essay told of how in the previous year she, her mother, her father and her uncle were taken out onto the street where the father and uncle were shot in the head and killed. The mother was taken away by the "army". The girl managed to get to Malaysia where she is given some shelter but is not given education by the state.

Others there can hardly add 4 plus 3, and some who at least are with families who also fled work late hours doing things like washing dishes to earn anything to help support their families.

Volunteers like my daughter teach the children for free and purely out of the goodness of their heart. To people like my daughter these children are all wonderful, they are victims who need and deserve help and love.

The children are NOT "downstats" who "pulled it in" as might be told you in different barbaric scientology texts. They are each points of light who just need a little help to shine.

Why this rant? Well I just wanted to give an example of what is true charity and how scientology is not that. The world will be a better place when people with loving hearts charitably give of themselves to help others in need.

Nothing of value is lost if there is no organized scientology in a given state. In fact there is gain in such a case as fewer people are abused, fewer families destroyed and the like.

    //end of rant//

So here indeed is to an organized scientology-free Pennsylvania!!!

the org might be dead, but Chris has begun spamming Craig's List regularly with all the usual scilon ads trying to entice people to call him on his mobile number.

Added to Project ClearCraig for flagging patrols. Check out the pennsylvania section here for details: ClearCraig/MV 0.2 beta | Manual Version

    Good scilon bumper sticker:

My org didn't die it just became an idle Org.

Someone should have some printed and affix them to appropriate vehicles.... for the lulz.

    We could have

We Support the Church of Scientology Idle Org Program.

Then again your car might get beat on by people who don't immediately see the joke.

u should play it smart, and use the ad as a means of inquiring where the event is held at... pretend to be interested, find out if their still using the old location, and/or when there will be staff there.
