Photo shows imprisoned opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi and son

Mehdi Karroubi, a leader in Iran's opposition Green Movement has been allowed to see his family.
On Monday, Karroubi's son Mohammad Hosein posted a picture of himself and his father on the social networking site Facebook. The photo caption says that the three-hour visitation took place on 4 June at Karroubi's home in Tehran's Jamaran neighbourhood.
Karroubi, fellow Green Movement Mir Hossein Mousavi and wife Zahra Rahnavard were placed under house arrest in mid-February 2011 after calling for opposition protests in solidarity with pro-democracy uprisings in the Arab World.
Human rights groups maintain that their ongoing house arrest is against international conventions as well as Iran’s own constitution.
