Iranians To Celebrate Yalda, Longest Night Of The Year
OMG, beautiful. I love the pomegranades.
Have you noticed how every religion is celebrating some sort of lights festival at this time of the year? Christmas, Hannukah, Yalda. All of them are based on the Solstice pagan festival.
Check out Iraniam's threads with the incredible persian classical music.
Judging from these photos, I am going to indulge in fish, pomegranates and nuts tonite. Hmmmmm.
You have set the chef in me a challenge. Happy Yalda! I love when human celebratory practice is inclusive rather than exclusive.
I know I'm late, but Happy Yalda!
Perhaps the tulip know the fickleness
Of Fortune's smile, for on her stalk's green shaft
She bears a wine cup through the wilderness
