Anonymous Art Collective ‘RRRRRRROLL’ Sets the World Spinning Qi Wei Fong Shimmer to Life as Time PassesFebruary 21, 2014 Photon Torpedo Greek Sculpture GIF by Zach Dougherty Call Box Blob by Zach Dougherty While on approach to Chicago O’Hare International Airport last week after a business trip, amateur photographer Mark Hersch glanced out his window at the setting sun and decided to pull out his iPhone to take a photo. Right then the plane banked for a 180-degree left turn over Lake Michigan for a final westward approach when an unexpected play of light occurred: the entire skyline of Chicago was suddenly projected in shadow from underneath the cover of clouds. It’s safe to say this is textbook definition of a once-in-a-lifetime shot. Langan previously worked on the wildly popular experimental film Choros featured here last year. Amazingly Cavity was filmed without the use of CG, but instead relies on simple lighting effects. He shares via email: The video is a kind of pas de deux between the woman (Nicole Miglis), and light − evading it, summoning it, and ultimately being consumed by it. We’re playing with the idea of hollowness, attempting to define emptiness by its edges, visually. There’s no CG in the video, just practical effects. Most of the video is lit by a single flashlight, drawn slowly over the landscape and later “echoed” up to 500 times to create patterns that fill the scene with light. We used a projector mounted to a motorized lazy susan to achieve the “sliver” shots of Nicole.
Picture by - Luis chales Picture by - Dmitry Savin Pictures by Japanese Photographer - Enami The Artist himself ! Circa 1898 self portrait of T. Enami in his Yokohama studio. This is one of at least two known variants originally photographed in 3-D. Photographer Herbert Ponting sent this and many other Enami images back to the USA to be published along with his own stereoviews taken in 1901 and early 1902. Good self-portraits of Japanese photographers from the Meiji era are hard to come by; this is certainly one of the better ones. Japanese woman in another photo studio looking at a cabinet view through the large lens of a finely-made Graphoscope. Ca.1905 collotype, possibly from an earlier image. The photographer is unknown, no doubt one of Enami's competitors in either Yokohama or Tokyo, and quite possibly an acquaintance and fellow-member of a professional photographers association of the time.

I was thinking .. Who would i pick, for most stunningly beautiful woman of the century. One that is not only exceedingly easy on the eye, and has a beautiful soul and spirit, with an astounding talent. ... There weren't many that even came close. Tough choice .. So I ended up picking two. I will say, that if Abby Martin, had been born in a different era, and she just so happened to bump into Michelle Phillips along the way .. There's a fast friendship, right there. Who Knew? http://abbymartin.org/gallery_shows.php
After thinking long and hard about my choices for the most stunningly beautiful woman of the century. I would be remiss, if i did not include Ange. She gets a bad rap, but deep down inside i do believe that she deserves some merit for her actions on this planet. "Hollywood" Bullshit that it is. There arn't too many people there, that I would consider noteworthy. Then there are the exceptions though, like, Pitt, (Both) Sheen, (Martin) Clooney (When he isn't being sidetracked by the size of his wedding ring, the tabloids and shitty mainstream TV - WTF George?) Penn, (Sean) Michael J. Fox, (stem-cell research) Charlie Chaplin, Robert Redford, And then there's Nicholson, Hopper, .. All of that crowd. So, my final pick for the three most stunningly beautiful women of the century (In no particular order) are. Michelle Phillips Abby Martin Ange Pitt
