We're watching you with profound respect So many of us around the world are observing your courage and inspiring determination to give voice to your rights. We applaud your strength to speak the truth and protest based on your deeply held values. We offer our profound blessings, empathy and deep support for you, precious people of Iran.
Look what happened in the USSR No one ever imagined that freedom would come to the peoples of the USSR it was a common assumption that it would continue for the next 500 years but it didn't. I am an English woman in Manchester, England and I send all you beautiful PERSIANS (especially my sisters in arms forced to cover their beauty) my best wishes for your brave struggle. The BBC and SKY news are really on the ball with this story forget CNN and the likes even the Americans don't take them seriously as a news bureau anymore. We are holding a protest rally in Manchester on Thursday 17th June everyone who supports freedom is welcome
Agree with @hurricane Stay strong and keep up! We'll be here. And, don't pay any attention to NYT/CNN/Fox, they can't do anything right. Anonymous From the USA
"A people giving in to tyrants will loose more than body and goods the light will be extinguished" (Henk van Randwijk, dutch poet) We are all watching you brave people. Bless you all.
Dont give up! People of Iran, DONT GIVE UP! organise your peaceful protests and dont falter when under fire or when you hear gunshots! The more you falter, the weaker you get and the stronger they get. GOOD LUCK! London
Good luck Seriously I don't know any of you, and I might not ever know you, but good luck. I hope that you realize that most of us here in the USA don't hate any of you and hope that we can all just live peacefully. Cheers to you guys fighting the fight against oppression.
from someone in California, USA To the people in Iran fighting oppression - may you succeed, and I have been praying for you. May God be with you.
Good luck to you all. I hope to see Iran become a peaceful country. And perhaps one day come from the UK and walk on Irans soil as a tourist. You people are strong and have endured a lot more than I think many people in my country could do. You'll see through this.
To the nation of Iran, You have gone from a nation feared for it's approach to nuclear weapons, to a land respected for it's march against tyranny. Gone from our minds is a foreign land distant to us, and now has become a nation we hold in our hearts and prayers. The world has watched your path and now walks with you. Our governments may have disagreed over the belief of how technology should be handled, but our people are united by the belief of the way every human should live: in freedom. Know that your march is not limited to the streets of Iran, for the world now marches with you. And in this march we will share what we have. Through our abilities in technology we transmit, amplify, and therefore echo your voice. And by our uniting belief in freedom the people around the world fight in any way we can. Be it proxies, prayer, or simple word of mouth, we fight beside you. To the Land of Persians, The world is watching as your children demonstrate against an evil empire. Ballots burned. Voices silenced. Families robbed of their children. May you know that the world is not blind to your pain, nor deaf to your cries. May your children find comfort in the fact that the world weeps, fights, and hopefully, rejoices with you. May the words of our own freedom fighter ring in your ears as you march and pray: We "have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom." Your freedom is bound to ours, and ours is yours. No longer seperated by race, region, or religion, your destiny is ours. And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. You cannot walk alone. These are the words of Martin Luther King. To an Islamic nation, As a Christian I believe that we are of the same tree. From the seeds of Abraham both of our lineage, from my King to your Prophet, have been blessed by the Lord (Genesis 17:20). May we be able to one day fellowship at the same table and appreciate together the life we have been given, and the privilege we have to live on. But today you march for a freedom granted freely by our Mighty Lord like waters from a well. And it is those streams of justice to which you have been denied by an evil. And so we pray. And to Everyone who says, "even if Moussavi did win, Supreme Leader still is in control," Let me remind you that a vote is a Vote. And it is the vote that men and women have died for worldwide. And if you have forgotten the gravity of a vote then may these words remind you: "Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children. It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Iran's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Two Thousand and Nine is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Iranians needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in the world until the Iranian is granted his and her citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. But there is something that I must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: In the process of gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Iranian community must not lead us to a distrust of all people, for many of our brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. And they have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone. And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, "When will you be satisfied?" We can never be satisfied as long as the Iranian is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream." I believe in a free Iran.
in4del I am almost as far away from Iran as possible. I understand Iran is an amazing country geographically. The people are like all people of the world regardless of law or politics. We all seek the same things in life. I do not understand the history nor politics of the Middle East. I do know that however that many battles have been won and lost over the years. And that the hurt and losses have been great for all sides. The clarity of the news from your country is still in question. My hope and prayers for all the people of Iran is that the truth prevails and that the leadership of your great country becomes a honest reflection of the people. I find no fault in wanting to defend what is yours as a country and I have no problem in a country to do what it must to insure the people are protected from harm. The most important right we all require is the freedom to do what we will as our own choice. The media is currently showing protesters in the streets showing their disgust at the outcome of the election. If there has been election tampering and the leadership has been fixed, then the people will win through persistance and faith in their cause. Struggles against currupt power rarely lasts longer than a generation. So, I encourage the people to stand up and take action for their fellow Iranians, stand beside each other and use the system to promote the change required to satisfy the majority that the direction the country is going is the right one. The USA is keen to make ammends now with the apparant leadership they now have being a little more forward thinking than the terrible Mr Bush was. Lets just hope that the intention is greater than a cheap oil deal. Iran has been terribly taken advantage by the west for a long time. BP started the problem with the oil and ever since there has been energy unrest. I would rather walk to work than use oil in my car that has come from hate and war. I wish there was more I could do as a person of freedom to help Iran, however I am but a spec on the internet, and can offer little other than support.
I can do nothing more than wish all of you good luck in your endeavours from my comfortable chair in the UK. Democracy isn't an easy thing, but it is the best game in town, so stay the course; history is on your side. Safe journey, long life.
you are not allone we fought for the change in 1953 in East Germany. We didnt make it to freedom at that time - I Hope you will! Our hearts and minds are with you!
Proud Persian! Keep fighting to free Iran from the islamic republic!!! give the country back to the people!!
For those who want to send a message via twitter, you can copy and paste this to Iranian users: ما مردم امریکا شمارا حمایت میکنیم We support you!!! #iranelection The Persian text says "we the American people support you"
Support from Israel My name is Nadav, I'm a twenty years old student from Israel. Altough it seems my country is one of the main reasons for trouble in the middle east, I myself am a peace supporter and so are my friends surrounding me. Your fight for democracy is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT and you have my full support! We are all human beings and we all deserve the basic freedome you're fighting for, don't let history repeat itself! fight for freedome! your amazing actions might open the door for a better middle east! keep up! Nadav.
The best best wishest to all Iranians from Germany. We are all standing behind your fight. Don't give up! The world cares! Stay safe!
You are all so brave....!!!! Watching the protests on the news from the safety of an Australian lounge room for the first time made me shed many tears. You are all so brave and I am so very proud of you all even from the other side of the world. Never give up your struggle or your hope. Together we are united in humanity, I am with you in solidarity. Love, peace, safety and SUCCESS to you all!!! Keep up the pressure for as long as you are able, a tidal wave cannot be stopped. In my thoughts, Wayne from Australia
I am with you to fight for your rights and your freedom, iranian people. Shout your freedom, scream your rights!!! Every human being should not feel fear to live in his town. I will stand for your rights with you all. Margherita, Italy.
Keep it up, we are with you and doing what we can to help! My thoughts are with you, and I wish I could do more.
Thank you for not giving up. It is important not only right here and now, to Iranians, but to the future people who will look at their own despotic leaders and remember that once, a country fought for the right to speak freely, think freely, and live freely and know that they can do it too. You are preserving a place not only for history, but for the future. We are all proof that we are more than what our leaders say we are, and no-one can stop us if we fight together.
From Pakistan......Ur struggle is an inspiration to us.....we have sat back and silently watched our country decay from the inside out......do not stop now......not when there is still something that can be done....
I wish that the CIA-Mossad agitators will fail in plunging Iran to chaos and complete Jewish domination.
Best wishes to all brave Iranians Best wishes the world is thinking of you and wish you the best We all admire your courage and bravery All the best from Ireland! You have a great spirit
Peace be with you Best wishes and prayers from the U.S. Stand strong People of Iran...Freedom isn't free. Don't give up the struggle for your rights against a government that has failed you, and an unethical tyrant. Be safe, and God bless you all.
20 years ago we saw the people in East Europe rise up against oppressive government in events similar to the events we are witnessing in Iran today. 20 years ago the people won. As will the people of Iran. The Middle East will be reshapen, the seed has been planted in Iran, and the true spirit of Islam, the message of peace, equality and love amongst all men, will come to shine. Drive out the snakes, the extremists, the false prophets through peaceful protest, don't let the Basij and IRG provoke you. Stand strong, the world is watching and praying, and we wish you strength and perseverance. Nothing can stop the will of the people. You can try to douse the flames with guns and bloodshed, but you can never stamp out the spark of freedom. I mourn those who gave their health and their lives in this struggle, but in the end we will all know they fought for the greatest of all causes: freedom from oppression. No amount of Basij or IRG can stop the people of Iran now.
Well wishes for Iran and it's people Open your hearts, let go of fear. All the world is watching you and sending you love! We are with you ! Be strong, be possitive, success is now!
I pray, cry & scream with my county I am so proud of you my Iranian Sisters & Brothers. Know that when you pray, we are all praying for you. Know that when you cry, we are too crying with you. Know that when you scream, our hearts scream with yours. The pride and pain IN our chests is as intense as it is in yours, though you are suffering much more. We are the same. We are one heart. FREEDOM FOR IRAN! WE ARE ALL WITH YOU! FIGHT ON!
Solidarity and love to the Iranian people. The world is watching and praying for you. Do not give up.
Good luck iranian people we in canada support your efforts to have a free and fairly elected democratic government.
Swedish here. We support your struggle for a democraticly elected government. Fight for your rights brothers!
USA here -- I just want you guys to know that we're not supporting you for some geo-political reason. Yes, we are against Ahmadinejad, but that's not the point here. We just want you to be free. The great people of Iran deserve no less.
Good Luck Iran Just wanted to say good luck to the iranian people. You guys deserve the ability to elect your own president as do all countries. If god (allah) really wanted ackmedinijad to win, then it would have happened. The fact that he has to cheat to win, and that he has to release photoshopped photographs making it appear that he has more supporters than he really does shows that god has abandoned him. I wish there was more that I could do for you. On a side note, I want you to know that no Americans nor people posting here want to force you to change your government to something you don't want, we want you to have the freedom to determine your own destiny. Good Luck Iran, in shah allah this will come to a good end.
