it's sad that they took the loss of a fraud case into an attack on religious freedom, and how they tricked all those other people into joining them just for that.
Why, wouldn't it be better to find a horse-ass-goatse shirt like the one Davey is wearing? (not a sweater)
you know, i wonder if it is possible to contact some of the people in the video, more so other religious leaders shown and show them the portland video and ask "how does it feel knowing you got used?"
like I said in the other thread (I think, cause this is getting confusin') scan the design transfer to iron on and then apply to t shirt= profit
I don't think that many people felt they were "being used". I was in Portland when this was happening and remember the many visits by the Portland Police & fire department to the Mission of Davis fearing that the roof was going to cave in from the mass of people partying & sleeping on it during the week. Many religious leaders took offense to any church being sued by a congregant which was self-serving....
And this is why it will be hard for us to get any clergy to help bring down the CoS. They might think, "First scientology and then us."
but we can still try right? if any of them are still alive. hate to give up before anything can be started
YouTube copy has nearly 325,000 views at this point, nearly a 10 fold increase in less than 24 hours. >9000 fresh .mp4's lying around the globe just waiting for redeployment at the first sign of a takedown attempt. The next "Maiden Voyage event" is right around the corner Davey. What was that about "Anonymous has been handled" Davey? What is true for you now Davey?
I'll just leave this here: http://www.raywj.com/2011/06/21/sing-along-scientology/#comments tweet etc. blah more comments
"Oh man, this is like a non-ironic version of the Matt Stone & Trey Parker musical “The Book of Mormon.” But this is maybe even funnier because it’s NOT a joke. Hope y’all have fun on your personalized planets, riding your motorcycles built by child slave labor." ?
Nearly 325,000 views and still going. Uh, damn. I did NOT see that coming. It has to be said: Nice win, faggots.
385k from central numbers. wether it gets on any shows thursday will be interesting. if it does chance of 1million break out point at 400k based on trend front page, favs, no of comments etc.
I suspect from my research that the original wasn't knitted but a detailed print on a satin like fabric. I found other Hermes shirts and jackets that were similar. However, print or knit, if we had the basic image we could make something close enough that if everyone wore it on a raid... I thought maybe adding hands at the edges of the O might increase the enturbulation factor a bit. I would still like to get a close look at the original print. Edit: Oops, read thread before posting!
update 372,600+ views There was an OSA YouTube account called 'IndieChannel' (or something misleading like that). It's very anti-Marty, pro-Miscavige. Said the uploader of the video would go to jail for stealing content.
Actually it feels a bit like I should be wearing a bag over my head in embarasment as I watch the video. My God there are so many important causes that one could be behind but this certainly was not one of them. I along with several others from New Hampshire flew there for this. I have no idea how many times we marched around that courthouse chanting and otherwise protesting. I remember carrying a sign that said "Live Free or Die" which was and is the motto of our state. We were young(er), we were willing to fight anyone to defend what we believe and we really believed in the motto to "live free or die". We wanted to get out the truth. Bad news for organized scientology, many of us still are that way (except for the young part).
The silver lining to doing something so fail is that you then get a free helping of humility to accompany you through the rest of your life.
I hope you are right, Smurf. Orac at Respectful Insolence --one of the most popular medical blogs-- posted about the video and Mike Adams. This will help raise awareness among doctors about Scientology's anti-medicine agenda. But it could be a little embarrassing if the guy in the video is someone else.
