Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Can we do moar EG raids and plan something BIG for the IAS event?
2. Anonymous Member

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

That's the plan.

25th Anniversary of the IAS... That's 25 years too long. Let's show them who's REALLY at-cause.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

I reckon the way to go is to flier as if you are the $cilons about how EG needs to be "cleared"- and everyone needs to be OT or they are "down graded beings"- hell, even use some of the $cilon internal propaganda about stain hell. This will get a stronger reaction than the "look at these terrible people" type fliers- and, you are simply waking up the local populace with the $cilons true intent.

THEN- you can mass flier against the cult..

Ah, the hive mind wakes up! I've been advocating this for some while, but getting Anonymous out of city pubs and into the fresh country air isn't that easy.

Some facts:
The 2001 Census indicated that about half of UK Scientologists live around East Grinstead. Some of these are 'old timers' who just attend functions but are not very active. There are also a lot of ex-members who keep a very low profile.
Local big functions (without bussing in from other Orgs) get around 800 attending, which matches the Census figure.
Scientologists own businesses and property in the town.
The CoS deliberately does NOT actively recruit in East Grinstead. It wants the town 'safepointed' like Clearwater.
The local council used to accept all schmoozing offered, but have recently backed off.

The local newspaper (East Grinstead Courier) will report but not help.
This Is East Grinstead - News, Sport and Entertainment
The Argus in Brighton has been actively anti-Scientology for a long while.
The Argus - News, Sport, Brighton and Hove Albion and Entertainment for Brighton, Hove and Sussex
Index for Argus and other local stories:
Scientology in UK Media- Index and Favourites

More protests would be good. The police were initially suspicious of Anonymous (guess why...) but that has been turned around by cult footbullets as usual.

Objectives should be to encourage local activism and to dispel the genuine fear that many locals have of upsetting the cult, particularly ex-members. Please don't suppose that this will be easy - after two generations of the cult as neighbours, people are going to take some convincing that change is coming.

I agree, time to storm the castle if you will. A march through the town center and a raid on Saint Hill Castle may be necessary. If we force them out of East Grinstead the rest of the UK will follow. Stab the heart.

Spotted on back of IAS 25th Anniversary T-Shirt in East Grinstead the other day:-

Someone just asked for this in another thread. Though it might be useful here.....

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Thank you Sponge! This is why I love Britain! Right, we seriously need to attack East Grinstead in numbers. raids, marches, the whole lulz.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

I suggest we step things up there from now on. And I don't mean protest specifically, rather talk to the locals, let them know what cancer lurks up on the hill. Then when the IAS event is on, we hold a protest that includes marching up there.

Pic related.

You also don't want to fall into the cliche scilon trap of of being dubbed as the angry village "pitchfork'n'torch" mob.....zooomfg witchfinder general.....KKK.....omfgNazis. It's the ideal spinnable soundbite for them.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

No idea about day-to-day enturbulation in EG, but if I have understood the planning for the Loldon megaraid in June, Stain Hill will receive a visit on Sunday 6th. Should be good!

East Grinstead is 'Clam Central' in the UK, and you'll need to conceal your identity with more care than elsewhere... but the megaraid should provide safety in numbers, and some valuable publicity. I've spoken to people who lived in E.G. in the 'old saint hill' days (before Hubtard became persona non grata and took to the seas); most said the cultists behaved very oddly, but were harmless neighbours. Those who worked in local businesses would have preferred to have 'normal' customers, but they got on well enough. The general feeling in the town centre seems to be one of indifference. (There have been no Fort Harrison Hotel style shenanigans in E.G., as far as I know.)

Will put the date in my diary and get hold of a mask.

I was curious about Stain Lump and went past there the other day. There were a few signs to an Easter Egg hunt just down the road, not sure if this was connected to the cult.

Somewhere I read that the A&E dept at the local hospital had a tale to tell of suicide attempts.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Could somebody in/near E.G. please complete the local information for a 'get out of jail free' card? If the wind is blowing when we're at Stain Hill, take care that you keep a good firm grip on these cards, especially when upwind of the manor grounds. It would be wrong to litter them all over the place, for the RPF prisoners to have to pick up.

Welll I suposse a trip to EG will be part of the megaraid again.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Managed to fill in a few more blanks.

Wondering if we should make ESCAPE aware of what we are going to do just in case they get some kind of response.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Good call, Anonophunkik. And thanks for filling in so many of those blanks. We're almost set. Can anybody name some current RPF victims in the UK? Such people should be prime targets for 'get out of jail' cards, and I'm happy to provide a fistful of stamps if it will help them to get free.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Does anybody know if this is current and correct contact info for Escape? I've tried to contact Richard and Bonnie via three different e-mail addresses, and received a bounce every time.

I assume that they're still working to dismantle the cult, so if anybody can tell me who to PM, or have them PM me, that'd be great.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Thanks DeathHamster, but the email link on their website doesn't work. I'll try phoning them instead. We need to keep 'escape the cult' type info up to date.

If anybody runs into Bonnie, please tell her about the emails bouncing.

Sent her a PM over on ESMB

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Did we hear any more about this?

As in is there any advice that the people at escape have in what to put on 'get out of jail free cards'? I am quite keen to print some up and go to stain lump to distribute some.

Re: Retaking East Grinstead

Well not had anything back from Bonnie, thou she was last on ESMB yesterday.

[STRIKE]I would try the email(s) again[/STRIKE] escape.int@ntlworld.com looks to be working

OK lets get some text up for this. Strip down to the 3 most useful numbers and a few lines to encourage those who have doubts, and the temptation to leave to actually do it.

Your doubts are well-founded.

Larry Anderson blew, you can too.
