well fuck... i WAS a RP supporter, but this... THIS changes everything :/ It's apparent that he is ignorant as to what the Co$ really is.
Why Ron Paul = Bat Shit Crazy: http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/opinion-ron-paul-is-a-white-supremacist/ Moar Bat Shit Crazy Stuff: THIS IS WHY...
If this is the sole (very weak) criteria in determining whether Ron Paul supports Scientology, am afraid there's alot of politicians that "support" the cult. "Even Ron Paul gets Scientology love, because he supports its tax-exempt status and opposes mental health screening for children." http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2011/02/10/scientology_friends_dc
yeah that statement in itself is flimsy, but the Co$ financial contribution to his campaign is a bit more solid.
RP has always distanced himself from Alex Jones and such movements for obvious reasons, the 9/11 truth movement didn't exactly help him back in 08, I would like to see where he openly supports this society or even that a "new world order" is happening, he always gets pissed off at such things and tries to get people focused on the real issues that are happening.
I reject evolution as it's taught in schools the world over. It's unproven. Macroevolution is nothing more than a way to explain the otherwise unexplainable. The fossil record is incomplete, and sketchy at best. Who the fuck thinks we came from a banana? It's silly. Microevolution, on the other hand, is proven, and doubting it is completely absurd.
Macroevolution says that we all came from the same primordial soup. By that logic, we came from the same bacteria that bananas did. Sorry, I forget many people don't know the distinction between macro and micro. *edit* Anyways, my point is macroevolution is a belief system, and if somebody wants to believe in it, cool. If not, that's fine too. I just don't think that a belief system should be crammed down the throats of school children.
The micro/macro evolution distinction only makes sense to creationists. It's like saying you can micro-walk to the corner store but you can't macro-walk a whole mile.
What you forgot is that many people actually in the field don't consider the distinction at all important. A banana strawman argument. How uniquely ignorant.
LOL, Republicans and their lock step talking points. So on the one hand I can vote for robots while on the other, moonbats. Hmm... which of these is best...
Another poster linked it. I'll relink it from a different source, just for you: http://watchdog.net/contrib/91011/sally_jensen Here's another page that reports Ron Paul getting contributions from neo-Nazis: http://rhymeswithright.mu.nu/archives/244614.php I can't attest to the credibility of either source, but it is interesting.
Your first sentence isn't accurate. We were all taught history in school, to some extent, and something I've noticed is that depending on when you were taught and sometimes even where you were taught, two identical events in history had varying degrees of accuracy. The old moniker: "History is written by the winner," seems to hold true. So I began to get interested in history, and finding alternative sources of information that either validate or dispute history as I had learned it in school. So it became a hobby for me. There are many things that kids are taught in school that are just made the fuck up and have no empirical data to support them. My argument, that just so happens to coincide with Creationists', is that there isn't enough proof that macro-evolution is more than a theory to teach it in school, even though common-sense dictates otherwise. In comparison, flat-earther's, prior to the explorers of the 15th and 16th centuries, "knew" that the Earth was flat, it was common-sense. The distinction is very important in all soft-sciences.
Anon_Jon, I read your post above. I feel like my head went in a circle and I'm none the wiser. Natural selection results in incremental changes in gene frequency among a population of interbreeding organisms. Over time, incremental changes (microevolution) add up to bigger changes, resulting in distinct species that cannot interbreed (macroevolution).
I agree with this statement. My point is that science should not be taught in schools as fact until it is proven. The elusive Pan Prior could connect the dots, but remains undiscovered, and thus the Theory of Evolution is still just a theory.
Are you sure you aren't trolling, Anon_Jon? "Just a theory" is an old trope. The history of chromosome 2 is convincing evidence that humans and chimpanzees share a common ancestry.
Compelling, and this bears more thought. But reflexively speaking, this could be put in the same category as finding shapes in clouds (we see faces because we want to). Before I pass judgement, I'll read further into Chromosome 2 Thanks for the post!
It has been made very clear......trufax over the years that the Scilons have not supported the democrats... .......do moar research... .....on a side note I still think Ron Paul is the one to vote for. The lack of media coverage alone says an awful lot amongst many things.
Belabors the fact he wants us out of all the wars, wants the federal bullshit bank which fucked us to dissolve, attacking the banking firms as they are now etc etc. Do me a favor......tell me why he is worse than Perry, i.e. GW Bush clone, or Bachmann, i.e. Palin with a brain but married to an in the closet homo and pushing christianity worse than well.......Palin....... I voted for Obama and after him caving to the fucking GOP like a bitch.....never again. There comes a sense of reality when someone who has been a 12 time politican with ideas that scare the piss out of the US government and its corporate contributors deserves some respect and a shot. Im just afraid his ideas and drive, of which he has never changed, will die with him.
BTW your anonymous post with no tag is just a typical pussy American standard. You dont see the rest of the world with a strong political view changing idea hiding. Man up nancy or GTFO
I'm voting for RP...I was simply making another point about excessive media coverage re: other topics of interest here.
