Ron Savelo DMCA Hi. I sent this to YouTube in response to a video of mine being remove by Axiom 10 Productions (Savelo's outfit). Hopefully this will be resolved shortly. I'll keep you all updated.

These were all Hubbard lectures, with various strange found footage (in public domain, from the Internet Archive) as a backdrop. Has he fucking lost his mind? Re: Ron Savelo DMCA Axiom 10 took down the videos of the person who was mirroring the slumstoschool videos. And since the word is out.... One account was the real one slumstoschool with bimbos Erin and Nick. and had closed comments and ratings and the other account was the fake one with the ID slumstoschooI ( the changed the last letter in the ID) who had open comments and ratings and was making believe he was a scilon and arguing in the comments sections with people, it was quite hilarious. anyways... on his youtube page he said Axiom tookthem down and provided the whois info on Axiom. I went back to theyoutube ID page and he changed it and took that off and went back to starting all over again with saying "he just wants to help his friends" and mirroring their vids again. Balls of steel!

Re: Ron Savelo DMCA I phoned up Google and asked to speak to someone in Youtube's division with regards to a false DMCA takedown. I was put on hold for four minutes before being disconnected. I called back and got a different receptionist. I explained I was cut off and re-stated my original grievance, saying someone filed a false DMCA complaint to get my personal information. The new guy said Youtube doesn't provide phone support and directed me to the site. I explained I went through the site and have received nothing back from them (I mailed them OP yesterday). He told me to wait a few days. So nothing yet. After a few days I'll email them back and express concern with their delay in responding to my original email and remind them that Ron Savelo is a habitual abuser of their system and provide documentation -- again, but more thorough -- attesting to such.
Re: Ron Savelo DMCA Being one of the victims of Oliver Schaper's antics, it's sickening how it takes a large group of angry users harpooning YouTube for them to realize something is going wrong. Happened with Media House Enterprises and American Rights Counsel, LLC (Ollie's companies), it happened with Tom Newton taking down the Message to Scientology video, it's happened with thunderf00t's video, and it's happening now. The question is, what's a good way to get this to YouTube's attention the way the above were? Are there actually enough of us here to care about Ron Savelo's DMCA takedowns?
Re: Ron Savelo DMCA A good start would be to create a one-stop site JUST for people to discuss, and strategise about DMCA takedowns. This is a major problem for us. WWP is a great place, don't get me wrong, but with so many forums and sub forums and other stuff going on, DMCA abuse doesn't get as much attention as it should. Subjects tend to get watered down a lot. We need a DMCA only specific site.
Re: Ron Savelo DMCA A good start would be Youtube actually getting a customer service department instead of shaving down their employee roles to just beneath the bare mimimum required for an effective company. Google is no different than all other too-large publicly traded corporations who sacrifice customer service and good business practice in exchange for making money for shareholders with no interest in the product whatsoever. Capitalism is great when the pool is big and the fish are plenty, but this corporate worship culture that Google got suckered in to is detrimental to everything everywhere and frankly gives proper capitalism a bad name.
Re: Ron Savelo DMCA question: when will someone actually file a lawsuit against these people? youtube isn't going to change their policy because a) it's easy for them and b) it doesn't affect enough of their users for them to care. the only way this will get resolved is if you take them to court and sue them into oblivion.

Re: Ron Savelo DMCA Very well written. Although it's ridiculous that you had to do this in the first place, your video never should have been removed obviously. And for what are you going to sue youtube? Youtube (and I think Google is the owner of Youtube now) owns the servers on which those videos are hosted. They can decide what content to host on their site. There is no legal remedy if they decide to take down your video.

Re: Ron Savelo DMCA If you own all rights to the footage and audio in that video, you should upload it to the Wikimedia Commons. Free speech is upheld there. Especially since some admins stand for free speech against Scientology.
