Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning This I.T. contract I am on is a six-day-a-week gig, with Sunday off... and they're talking about making us work then too! I won't be able to make it with you guise, but what about a solo raid on Sunday afternoon? Has anyone ever done that? Results? What is the address of the local cult? THANKS!
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning 10 April it is then. Just need to know what time and which cult temple. Hey, anybody know why it wont let me post a pic on here?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning @ Budd. 1931 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, UT - (801) 485-9992 353 East 400 South, Salt Lake City, UT - (801) 532-8008 I have no idea which is the main one. If you wanna march on Sunday, I'm game for a little bit.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning The one on 400 South is easier to access and on a busier road; the "main" one on 1931 South is in Sugarhouse, and we kept planning to, but never actually had a protest there, lol :3 I would be willing to make it on a Sunday, but only between 1130-1400 due to work schedule. ALSO, THIS. OMG THIS

Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Dude, that's fuct up. Main gist for those who dont follow the link: A detoxification program for ill police officers exposed to methamphetamine that has received more than $500,000 in public funding could soon expand to include firefighters and veterans. Utah Meth Cops participants are current or former narcotics officers who have complained of ailments ranging from trouble sleeping to cancer. The treatment, created by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, is intended to force the officers to excrete poisons and includes up to seven hours a day of exercise and sauna time at the Meth Cops Project clinic in Orem. Participants also eat a diet high in antioxidants. At least $390,000 in state money has been spent on the detoxification program since 2007, though no money was appropriated in the state legislative session that ended this month. The recent earmark was requested by Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff, who has been the most vocal public official supporting the project. The earmark was sponsored by Rep. Rob Bishop and both Utah senators. "We're going to have to have clinics in other states," Lucas said. Tidrow points to testimonials from treated police officers in explaining why he wants firefighters to undergo the regimen. He is confident Salt Lake City leaders will give firefighters paid time off for the program and not concerned by the regimen's affiliation with Scientology. "It just so happens Doctor Hubbard is the one who launched this medical procedure," Tidrow said. Farr said the regimen does not necessarily need to remove toxins, just make returning soldiers feel better. "If there's a possibility of it helping veterans, that's my interest," Farr said.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Anyways, I'll be there on 10 April at 11am then. I'd like to protest, but this is my first time, so I wont do it alone lol. I'll be the tall guy wearing bandanas. Should I bring a sign or anything?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Sorry, I didn't mean to infer that your raid has to be on Sunday just for my convenience. Best policy that I've seen is to raid/protest/picket on a day which has the most traffic, whether pedestrian or drive-by. In Orlando there is NO pedestrian traffic at the local org, which is located between a dollar store, a nail salon, and an empty building. Real classy neighborhood. But there is LOADS of drive-by traffic. We usually go on Saturday afternoon between 12 and 3 because there are lots of cars going to the mall a few miles down. Actual traffic count shows 1500 vehicles per hour, in one direction. Now THAT is marketing! Choose a day that is best for YOU, with high traffic visibility. I will show up if I get time off, and on Sunday if not. And THANKS for the addresses!
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Well, the thing is that this IS Utah, so Sundays are usually not even considered since most ppl are in church. I have no problem doing two protests in 1 weekend tho if it means we get the word out about Mr Shurtleff's proposed earmark. Since we're all doing so well financially, I'm sure Utahns will be super enthusiastic about supporting that expenditure, right? April 10-11 then? yes/no/omgcaek? Srsly, who else would be willing to risk lower heaven to hang out with us heathens on Sunday?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Sunday the 10th, woot. Yeah, I'm pagan, so you know I'll be heathening with ya lol
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Alright! Born-again Christians, heathen pagans, and hometown LDS... what more could you ask for?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning April 10? Just noticed this: Meth Cops fundraiser "Ride For A Hero" fundraiser to benefit the Utah Meth Cop Project and the Heroes Health Project. Includes a motorcycle ride and a concert. When » April 10. Where » Timpanogos Harley Davidson, 555 S. Geneva Road, Lindon. Cost » $30 for ride only or $45 for ride and concert Hosts » Actor Vincent D'Onofrio and Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning GODDAMMIT. D'Onofrio's a clam?! Would anyone be able to make it to the fundraiser to give Private Pyle a nice friendly anon welcome? I will totally MAKE time for this if anyone else is up for it! btw, is it just me or does our newest little spokesperson look stoned out of his skull during this interview. I mean, more than he usually does. http://www.fox13now.com/videobeta/f...ity-to-benefit-cops-exposed-to-meth-chemicals
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Hi guise. I posted my research under "Utah Meth Cops Project". Maybe u already know all this stuff. Since you mentioned sci org or mission traffic was slow on sundays anyway, this fundraiser site would be great if you could be there. As to Vincent, not sure about drugs, but he is definitely ill. Wo! He mentioned the governor's niece would be singing with his band at this fundraiser?!
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Right here you mean, yesh? Anyhoo, I still think it would be awesome to go out and do a purple towel demonstration at the Harley fundraiser. Prolly right around when the kind, gullible citizens are registering to give their money to scientology. I mean, the meth cops. I've been trying to figure out how to recreate the magickal staining on the cheap, and so far starched towels + iodine soap seem like they would be the best bet. I'll test it this week. Any other suggestions for things to try?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning WATCH CAREFULLY AS I BEGIN TO EXUDE DANGEROUS CHEMICALS ACCUMULATED FROM A LIFE LIVED HAZARDOUSLY IN THE SUBURBS OF UTAH
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Mmmmkay, so will there be a theme? Or are we just gonna do whatever
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Sorry I can't make it to SLC in person but I will be thinking of you, and invite my friend to come over and give you guys a hand
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Well, clearly I have not been here in a while. Thank you Wenckebach, your leaderfagship has dragged me out of my hole. So, the 10th then? I have some stuff going on in the afternoon but I can absolutely make it at 11.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning So would anyone else be able to make it to the fund raiser? Or should we just go to the usual org? Either way I vote we concentrate on the meth cops thing. Yes/No?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning If the fund raiser thing is on the 11th I won't be able to make it.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Alright so tomorrow at 11:30 - 11:45 AM we meet in front of the library?
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning awriiiiight, I will bring caek and pamphlets. EVERYONE SHOW UP. I WILL NOT DO A 2-MAN PROTEST. Testicles will be forfeit from all non-participants. 11:30 in front of the library. Someone bring plasticware plz.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning I'm bringing another person with me Wenk, so the bare minimum will be 3. I'll be holding a bandana in my hand with my hood up or something.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Were we just circling each other the whole time?! srsly, I got there a bit late, but not THAT late. Onion, check ur pm's.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning Well, I failed utterly. I slept through my alarm and just woke up. And due to travel plans I won't be able to make another protest until July. Sry guys, I am teh suck.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning New to SLC & Anon, looking for some people to start participating in monthly flash raids. Observed in the thread that it's been awhile since anyone set something up, so let's get something done before the end of August.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning First I've checked the forum in a while, glad to see a new member to SLC! Lets get something setup. =) E: Give me a two day notice before any flashes and I can most likely be there.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning I was thinking maybe we could plan a raid for the 12th of August and, like the friendly folks we are, head downtown to the church and wish Sea Org a happy birthday. (Sea Org was officially founded August 12th, 1967 according to various sources.) Will likely print up a number of leaflets/pamphlets containing information about Sea Org and it's more exciting policies like 'NO KIDS OR GTFO' and their lovely summer getaway, REHABILITATION PROJECT FORCE. (Not a cool anime show like the name implies.) Anyone who's interested reply here or pm me. P.S.: THERE WILL BE PUNCH AND PIE.
Re: Salt Lake City Utah - Planning 12th is nice and works for me. I'll be able to bring a friend or two like usual.
