Scientology = Child Abuse

    I have started this thread for Media attention so that posters can gather together stories of the abuses heaped on children in the Scientology cult and add them to this thread. This will be Suri Cruise's future in Scientology if Katie Holmes does not get 100% custody of Suri. With shared custody, the time in Scientology will overwhelm this vulnerable child's mind and turn her away from her mother and into the hands of the cult as a slave with both physical and mental abuse heaped on her daily.

    To start this thread, I will give a taste of the sort of mental pressure she will be put under STARTING AT THE AGE OF SIX YEARS OLD. It is the notorious Scientology Children's Security Check which is done with a child hooked up to the Scientology lie detector called an "e-meter".

    Some of the things you will read in this thread will horrify you. You will wonder why governments around the world have not closed this cult down. But what you will read is nothing new. This has been going on for a long time and many complaints and protests have been made by individuals who risk their own safety and reputations over many years. But perhaps with Suri Cruise being in the public spotlight and with her little life in the balance between her mother and the cult, then perhaps, just perhaps, something will finally be done to remedy this situation after all these years of trying.

    HCO WW Security Form 8

    The following is a processing check for use on children.

    Be sure the child can understand the question. Rephrase it so he or she can understand it. The first question is the most potent.

    The basis of child abuse in Scientology - the ship's chain locker

    If you are reading this then you may wonder why it is that children find themselves the target of both mental and physical abuse in Scientology. Why children? This has a historical basis in that L. Ron Hubbard used to hand out harsh punishments to his followers including young children. The reasoning behind equal punishment handed out to children as adults is that in Scientology children are regarded as old souls (called "thetans" in Scientology) in young bodies and therefore they are no less responsible than adults and so should be punished the same as adults. In the early days of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard went to sea to escape the attention of governments. The ship he was on has a chain locker to hold the anchor chain. This was a rusty, filthy, sewage infested, rat infested truly dangerous place in which he imprisoned those that fell out of favour with him, including small children.

    If you are an "up-stat" then sexually abusing children is OK in Scientology

    If a person is either giving a lot of money to Scientology or helping them make a lot of money then their "statistics" are considered to be in an upward trend and they gain the label of being an "up-stat" in Scientology. In that position they are free to do as they please without reprimand, even if that involves sexually abusing children. Here is a collection of stories that illustrate this.

  7. These horror stories of child abuse are certainly not 'anecdotal' and simply made up complaints by individual disgruntled former members who are now apostates. All the stories have similar claims of abuse going back for decades.

    When Scientology is approached on any complaint of abuse, they go after the victim by policy instead of trying to correct their horrible mistreatment of children done by simply following L. Ron Hubbard's unchangeable 'scriptures'.

    Read Hubbard's policies concerning the treatment of children and imho, you'll find that they constitute child abuse in and of themselves including the extremely abusive and insane chidren's 'security-check'. The parents are so ensnared in Hubbard's trap that they actually allow their children to be subjected to them. It's a disgrace.

    Hubbard's processing allows the indoctrinated to condone any activity by mother 'church' once they buy into Hubbard's made-up concepts of entheta and the sp (suppressive person) / pts (potential trouble source) status of any member who agrees with criticism of any type and the critic is vilified despite being correct about dangerous abuses in Scientology. The scientologist's eternity and progress on the bridge are put on hold when in this status so the member disconnects from the complainant or gets them to stop to get back on course.

    Sadly, the Scientologist is more concerned with their 'eternity' than the proper treatment of their children. Since Scientology can never address real concerns of abuse by policy it will eventually consume itself as horror story after horror story comes out, they are never-ending and all similar stories of RPF and other abuses.

    This is why Scientology is doomed to failure eventually because according to Hubbard's policies of attacking and only attack instead of investigate and change the abusive policies like any truly ethical organisation would. They invariably deny the abuse and seek dirt on whoever complained instead of addressing their own horrific behavior in the name of 'religion'.

    Sick children and their Scientology (mis)treatment

    According to Scientology thinking, we are all responsible for our physical condition. That means that if we get ill or sick it is essentially our own fault and might be due to our own "lack of ethics". Since children are regarded as old souls ("thetans") in little bodies then if children get sick then it is regarded as their own faults and they get treated the same as adults as being "out ethics". Very little care or attention is given to even very young children in Scientology should they get sick.

    Tax Exempt Child Abuse and Neglect

    The Church of Scientology enjoys tax exemption in many countries across the globe. Sometimes their properties receive huge discounts on their non-domestic rates. In the UK, in the City of London, they receive an 80% discount of 270,000 GBP per year for their premises at 146 Queen Victoria Street. They also have an 80% discount in the City of Westminster. In the City of Sunderland they receive 100% rates relief - proportionally the most generous in the country. This is needed by the Church of Scientology to continue their activities in any country. Without this rates relief they would probably have to close down as it would not be financially viable for them to continue to operate. But fortunately for them, central and local governments give them tax payers money to allow them to have the financial wherewithal to continue heaping abuse on their own members, including heaping abuse on young children.

    It is my sincere hope that Katy Holmes is awarded 100% custody over Suri Cruise so that Suri is spared the abuses of Scientology that seems to be disproportionally inflicted on children due to the history of L. Ron Hubbard himself. But my thoughts are also with the other children trapped in the Scientology cult who will continue to be abused. The ideal situation would be that all these children are made wards of the court and placed in good homes where they can look forward to a bright future.

    I think making it a sticky would be very useful.

    If we can get this out to enough people then Suri should be spared the abuses of Scientology at the very least. It could be a sticky plus I hope that people get the messages in this thread out to many people to hopefully bring about change and save the children currently trapped in the Scientology cult where they are being physically and mentally abused on a daily basis.

    Declaration from Astra Woodcraft regarding her childhood in Scientology and Sea Org:

    Part 1
    Part 2

    Of special note in the above declaration: point #30 -

    30. From the age of 14, I had an official schedule starting at 8:00 a.m.and ending at 10:00 p.m., but regularly worked later, sometimes until 2 or 3 a.m. We got 30 minutes for lunch and 45 minutes for dinner and no other breaks. We regularly were ordered to work during part of our meal times. We sometimes got into trouble if we went to the canteen when it wasn't our mealtime. The schedule was 7 days a week, but we got Sunday morning to do our laundry and clean our rooms. On Saturday's we did labor work, consisting of renovations, etc. There was a period of 3 weeks or so in 1995 when I was still a minor where there was a huge evolution to print new policies to revise all the Scientology technology. (This is known as the "Golden Age of Tech within the church.) During this time, all staff including minors were ordered to work around the clock literally to produce these new polices and put them into binders. My job was to go and wake up any staff who went to sleep and make them get back to work. I would fall asleep while driving. I got approximately 2 hours of sleep a night during this time, but many times got no sleep for 2 or more days. I was ordered to drive around even though I was falling asleep and incoherent due to no sleep. One time I parked my car and accidentally fell asleep and woke up 3 hours later because a meter attendant was knocking on my window. Once this "evolution" was complete, the staff was rewarded with a trip to the movies.

    The Scandal of Scientology - by Paulette Cooper
    Chapter 13 - Children and Celebrities (full chapter is on website).

    Excerpt: regarding at what age a child can be processed (age 6), what to do if the child doesn't want processeing (too bad), the amount of pain a child goes through in auditing (think childbirth!) .......

    Chapter 13
    Children and Celebrities

    Education is necessary because one earns better after he has learned.
    -- "Child Dianetics"

    There are two types of people that the Scientologists are very anxious to attract: children and celebrities. In England, the Scientologists already have a number of children in the Org, although Hubbard wrote that "serious processing" should not be done before a child was five years old, "extensive Processing" except in very unusual circumstances, should not be done before he was eight, and that no child should be "forced" into the prenatal area until he was twelve.{2}
    The youngest Scientology clear right now is said to be eleven,{3} although the Scientologists have reported "processing" an eighteen month baby, and a baby who was just a few days old (by saying to him repeatedly, "Lie in bed. Thank you.").{4}
    Hubbard has an extremely permissive attitude toward child-rearing: "So he tears up his shirt, wrecks his bed, breaks up his fire engine. It's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS," he wrote.{5} He also said in Child Dianetics:
    Care for the child? -- nonsense! He's probably got a better grasp of immediate situations than you have. Only when he's almost psychotic with aberrations will a child be an accident prone.
    Hubbard also believes that it's pretty difficult to make a child grow up to be a pervert, and his description of what can lead to perversions is an example of Hubbard's amazing imagination and facility for cataloging a variety of unbelievable tortures: "Kicking a baby's head in, running him over with a steam roller, cutting him in half with a rusty knife, boiling him in lysol, and all the while with crazy people screaming the most horrifying and unprintable things at him."{6}
    Hubbard's permissiveness, however, does not always extend toward children who don't want Scientology auditing. "If the child is even faintly unwilling to be audited, you can coax the child into short sessions, and then, as time goes on, lengthen them gradually," he wrote.{7}
    Hubbard, who has seven children, plus seven grandchildren naturally has devised an auditing technique for kids. Children are given such simple processing as "Feel my arm. Thank you. Feel your arm. Thank you."{8} They are also sent back to relive their birth, and it is apparently as painful an experience for them as it is for some of the adultpreclears, since Hubbard wrote:
    If the auditor should make a slip, like telling the child that birth won't hurt him much when he returns to it, the child will be expecting a mild or nothing at all ... an auditor hasn't known frustration until he has run a child halfway through a painful experience only to find that a happy ending has been tacked onto it.{9}

    Scientologists feel that their treatment is of great benefit to children, and they have made a number of active attempts to get their methods taught in schools. Below is a quote by Hubbard, ostensibly telling Scientologists how to deal with the press, but in fact telling them how to get Scientology in schools.

    An email, dated December 2000, regarding Scientology Sea Org management requesting approval to punish children by putting them in "Children's RPF"( think prison camps) because they are not productive enough. It shows a callous and dangerous "physical punishment mentality" still exists in the Sea Org. There is even a discussion of a child cutting himself with razors. Their answer is to lock him away on the RPF so he won't influence the other children, rather than to seek proper medical treatment.

    Dear Sir,
    I want to propose a handling to the recent and past flaps
    we are having concerning the Cadet aged kids. Please see my CSW.
    SITUATION: I need to re-institute the Children's RPF and
    propose Jim Garrett as Adult MAA for Cadet Org.
    DATA: I have several Cadets and blown Cadets who need to go to
    the children's RPF. Since being back in the Cadet Org I have
    been pushing hard on getting basics in and pushing hard on getting
    the Cadets producing. The scene is getting better with many
    Cadets starting to pick up their hats and the scene is starting
    to improve. However a very small percentage are entubulative
    sources and are sabotaging efforts to set the scene right.
    (reports are written and are I/P on the enturbulative sources)
    They need to be moved off the line per Forcing In The Ideal
    In addition to the Cadet Org itself getting established
    there are SO kids not in the SO who need to do the Children's
    RPF to get them back on purpose as SO members.
    Currently [name removed] is an enturbulative source who has
    been on the lines of the EPF, SNR HCO PAC, SECURITY, CADET ORG.
    He needs to be moved off everyone's lines and put into the
    Children's RPF. [name removed] recently took a razor blade and
    cut X's in his skin up and down both his arms. He is psychotic
    in PT and needs close supervision.
    We are in PT re-establishing the Cadet Org in pushing in
    the LRH advices and policy concerning it. The reinstituting of
    the childrens RPF is needed as a part of it's [sic]
    establishment. In 1976 when the Commodore re-established the
    Cadet Org , he also included the childrens RPF as a part of this.
    Ref Pac Estates Unscramble. In 1986-87 when myself and Yolanda
    Avila put back in the advices concerning the Cadet Org, the
    re-instituting of the Childrens RPF was very instrumental as
    one of the successful actions done which 10X'd the Cadet Org
    at that time. Eleven resources came out of that org most of
    which went to CMO PAC. The Childrens RPF was slammed in at
    that time and was very successful .....

    I had not realised that the indoctrination has already begun.

    I wonder if it has already been explained to Suri that her mother is a "Suppressive Person" and has "overts" against Tom and against Scientology. Of course, if she disagrees, it means she read past a word she did not understand and she has to go back and find that word, use it in five sentences, and then she will agree with the Scientology Founder once again. Some may call this "brainwashing" although the cult insists there is no such thing in Scientology (but "indoctrination" is OK).

    This is little Suri's education both now and in the future and it will shape her life.

    This is from Dianetics: The Modern Science Of Mental Health. This was written by the church as a preface to the work.
    In reading this book, be very certain you never go past a word you do not fully understand. The only reason a person gives up a study or becomes confused or unable to learn is because he or she has gone past a word that was not understood.
    The confusion or inability to grasp or learn comes AFTER a word the person did not have defined and understood. It may not only be the new and unusual words you have to look up. Some commonly used words can often be misdefined and so cause confusion.
    If the material in this book becomes confusing or you can't seem to grasp it, there will be a word just earlier that you have not understood. DON'T go any further, but go back to BEFORE you got into trouble, find the misunderstood word and get it defined.

    Somehow this thread needs to be gotten to the Media covering the Suri custody battle. I believe there is enough stuff already in this thread to tip this into Katy's favour of getting 100% custody but only if the message spreads. I don't know how to achieve this but perhaps there are some Anons out there with the know how to spread this message far and wide. Please help this thread have maximum effect so that it can achieve Katy having 100% custody of Suri while the legal arguments are going on.

    Here are some of the "auditing" processes that might be run on Suri Cruise

    "Auditing" in Scientology is nothing to do with going through company accounts. "Auditing" in Scientology has its roots in the word "listening" and the auditor runs processes on a person (called a "PC") and listens to what they say in response and writes it down on worksheets. It is rather like a confessional in specific subject areas but also taking notes. This "auditing" can be applied to very young children. Certainly, Suri Cruise will be put through these and similar processes at the sort of ages you will read about below.

    At the top of page 110 of the "Foster Report" we see the following. The ages below have been highlighted for clarity and were not in the original text:

    "It is possible to process a child at any age level beyond the point when he learns to speak. However, no serious processing should be undertaken until the child is at least five. Extensive dianetic processing is not encouraged, except in very unusual circumstances, until the child is at least eight years of age. Much good can be accomplished before the age of eight by straight-line memory technique, and in the period from eight to twelve years the child may be processed by any of the techniques outlined here. But one should not force the child into the prenatal area until he is at least twelve years old."

    What Suri Cruise might hear when she is "auditing" a PC

    Suri Cruise will very likely be trained as a Scientology "auditor". This is not an accounting course but rather training to run "processes" on other Scientology members (called "PC"s). Some child members of Scientology (those whose parents are in the elite "Sea Org") are intensively trained as "auditors" at a young age and put to work auditing other members of staff. You can have an "auditor" of 14 auditing an adult of 40, for example. Nothing is thought of this age difference in Scientology as children are considered to be old souls ("thetans") in little bodies. So the sort of subject matter that a 14 year old might be exposed to from the person being "audited" might be of a very adult nature. Imagine Suri Cruise being subjected to the sort of content below at the age of 14:

    This process produces in preclears a condition from which all moral restraints are absent. In many of the files examined by the Board this process was used, the preclear's answers frequently relating to very disgusting matters of sex, depravity and perversion. The initial subject of the "Who or what" question is a simple word, but in the course of finding 600 to a 1,000 answers to such a question as "Who or what would scientology (or an E-meter) (or psychiatrists) oppose?". the preclear will often give a sexual or depraved answer which then suggests the next answer which will be more disgusting and thereafter the floodgates of filth and depravity are open. Preclears whose questioning has started off with some simple subject finish up giving the most debased answers, striving obsessively to outdo in vulgarity and depravity the previous answers by the addition of vulgar adjectives.
    When the preclear is checked for a reliable item, one of the depraved answers is often selected, and the preclear may be questioned for days on "Who or what" would oppose that particular reliable item. An example, by no means isolated, is a question asked for days of a young married woman, namely, "Who or what would a sexy little piece oppose?". Many of her answers show an abandonment of any restraint.
    Mere declamation does not sufficiently describe this shockingly immoral feature of scientology processing; included in Appendix 19 is a small selection of the questions asked and some of the answers given in R2-12 processing.

    The above comes from the "Anderson Report". The full report can be linked to below:

    What if Tom Cruise promises not to turn Suri into a Scientologist?

    There is going to be a major battle between Katy Holmes and Tom Cruise over custody of Suri Cruise. Somebody told me that Katy Holmes wants Suri to go to a Catholic school. This will not sit well with the Scientology religion. But suppose Tom agrees to this and promises that Suri will not be raised as a Scientologist? But does Tom have a choice, even as a top celebrity within the Church? Will he be able to keep such a promise?

    In the UK, in 1984, there was a famous battle over custody of two children in which the father promised to not bring their two children up as Scientologists but the judge did not trust the Church to not interfere and so he gave 100% custody to the mother. I think we all hope that Katy Holmes gets 100% custody of Suri Cruise but the judiciary in the US are far more favourable to strange religious groups than the UK judiciary.

    The judge in the case, Mr. Justice Latey, summed up Scientology thusly:

    "Scientology is both immoral and socially obnoxious. (...) In my judgement it is corrupt, sinister and dangerous. It is corrupt because it is based on lies and deceit and has as its real objective money and power for Mr Hubbard his wife and those close to him at the top. It is sinister because it indulges in infamous practices both to its adherents who do not toe the line unquestioningly and to those outside who criticise or oppose it. It is dangerous because it is out to capture people, especially children and impressionable young people, and indoctrinate and brainwash them so that they become the unquestioning captives and tools of the cult, withdrawn from ordinary thought, living and relationships with others."
