I intended to go to Law School, but had to settle for a University of British Columbia Real Estate and Sub-Mortgage Brokers career through UBC. However, I bought tons of law books and studied civil law mostly, for 6 years. Won a few personal cases against a Chain Store and DDT spraying Contactor who was endangering the communities children; especially mine - - simply inundated the lawyers with dox and case precidents, LOL And won a Labour Relations case, which was a simple one compared to this friggin battle,..., LOL I love the law, but perhaps I wouldn't have lived this long if I had been a lawyer? I disagree with your last sentence, as I know a few exes who have completely recovered, are happy and stable. On the other hand, I know more who are still PTS'd or dissociated by their experiences.

When deep trust has been betrayed and abused in evil methods for self-serving, cult greed, it does leave "mental markers" on ones psyche. Each individuals coping skills and recovering times can be different. And what about family members and loved ones who also were affected by the victim. Being disconnected from by a loved one can leave scars for quite some time. .
