Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES Wow. Thanks for the ancient issue. For those who prefer a PDF file, here's one made up from the above images: Advance issue 2.pdf
Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES Holy moly. That issue is a cornucopia of lulz and footbullets! Quentin Hubbard, WSB, John McM, WTFdollbodies, and more!
Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES and http://www.lermanet.com/reference/Advance issue 2.pdf Hope to get pdfs done from now on. Arnaldo's mother was also a member who left, (and fought the cult) so we have some interesting things.
Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES OK. Got with the (pdf copyable text) program (barring some impossible scans in the publication itself that won't ocr).... From 1968: THE FINDINGS ON THE U.S. FOOD AND DRUG AGENCY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLICATIONS WORLD WIDE Link: http://www.lermanet.com/reference/1968_thefindings_fda.pdf Published by THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLICATIONS WORLD WIDE (A branch of the Church of Scientology of California. A non-profit corporation in the U.S.A. Registered in England.) Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead, Sussex, England Copyright © I968 Church of Scientology of California Printed in England by The Garden City Press Limited, Letchworth, Hertfordshire This report referenced from: The Mind Benders, Scientology - Chapter 6 - Cyril Vosper Since the seizure in January 1963 of approximately 100 E-meters by the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, Washington, D.C., U.S.A. (this case is suggested to have been won by Scientologists in a publication called The Findings: on the U.S. Food and Drug Agency together with an innuendo that the F.D.A. is influenced by the Mafia. Although the Court of Appeals reversed the earlier decision banning the E-meter because "the case was improperly framed, rather than that the Scientologists' devices and literature were absolutely protected" ... it would appear that a new trial would be in order), E-meters are now described as Confessional Aids. ----- The publication also includes a letter I have not seen up on the Web, A 1962 Letter from L Ron Hubbard to JFK and I wonder, if Hubbard was throwing egg on the face of the government then, to have these CIA Interrogation techniques at the time of the Bay of Pigs, Cuba. For which material they may have stolen in Operation Snow White? Fighting the FDA about the E-Meter, would merely have been a throw-off. (imho)

Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES I can't update the OP so I"ll just update as I go along. Most of these have already been posted either in this or other threads. I'm just putting them all in one place. Re: SCIENTOLOGY MAGAZINES awesome, Pooks. Thank you! I checked the last, Dec 2010 and noticed a few things like: How come brochure pictures show lots of passengers, but real, live pix just a few? Hmmm? Also, I see old people, not dead, but lots old people. And last but not least, cover page, with three rows of Sea Ogre crew. Scientology wouldn't lie (schoop), now would they? Either that, or I see faceless people. Let's take a closer look:

Anybody got a cover art image from an edition of Celebrity Magazine circa 1970's? preferably one in between 1974-79 if u haz more than one, but I'll take any 1970's image bigger than thumbnail size. and doesnt matter much who/what is featured on it... i'm just looking for a historically accurate graphic for something I'm working on.
Hey, I just saw this post now. If you still need this I can dig something up. I may have to scan. Let me know.
Here is one I already have a scan of. If you need something different, let me know. I have other stuff from the '70s. Edit: Whoa, this is big. Doesn't the board shrink photos anymore?
ha ha - larry anderson, i love it!! thats serves my need perfectly, but i still got room for one or two more - so if you feel like posting, i'll put it too good use. EDIT: also useful (but not critical) to know on these covers is whether or not the name Jon Randall (or Randy McDonald) is listed inside the mag in the editorial/publishing/staff credits anywhere.
He had the misfortune of being born the son of one of the biggest douchebags to ever live and being groomed by him to run his abusive cult. Can you blame him for killing himself?
Does anybody recall hearing/seeing something long ago, in the earlier stages of his career - Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa appeared in or on the cover of a Celebrity Magazine??? I coulda swore mention of ^^THIS came up on some thread somewhere in January when Grassley's report on media-based ministries came out. And i meant to revisit & investigate further but lost track of where i seen it. And now that it matters - I'm having no luck finding it in googlefu nor on each of the 3 major forums by skimming thru every thread where Grassley's name comes up. perhaps I am imagining i seen it Reason i ask is if such a juicy thing does exist, getting a hold of a copy of it could make lulzy ammo on the upcoming Operation Sunshine Week FTW!!1!
Hey Pooks. I have a bunch of Celebritys from the '70s, but the time it would take to scan it all divided by its usefulness to the cause equals not exactly worth it. It's all just Celebrity fluff; I have sent you and/or Kristi all the completions lists I have. There is some interesting/amusing stuff I would like to make available, though. I'll try to fit in time to do scanning of that if people are interested. ETA: Hmm. I may never have sent you and Kristi the completions list in this Diana Hubbard 11/79 issue. It is one of those on a brown background, so scanning is impossible. I will try to find time to type it up.
wow - thats an eery looking pic. thks so much whoever - I'll be sure and put ^^This to good use! I'm guessing the oh so carefully placed statue in the background that looks so weirdly out of place due to obvious staging is likely supposed to be the greek goddess diana. and if so - /facepalm
Some one told me that the High Winds Mag link was broken. Here's a new link. A whole bunch of High Winds Mags. The Magazine of the Sea Org. Enjoy. http://www.mediafire.com/?0g0m2xr152a3gb0
