    From Facebook:

    Tony Ortega shared a link.

We have photographs from yesterday's biker rally that featured Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca and 'Simpsons' actress Nancy Cartwright promoting L. Ron Hubbard's 1980 booklet, "The Way to Happiness." Because handing out Ron's weak-sauce life advice along with Nation of Islam propaganda is the best way to end gang violence in Los Angeles, apparently.

This is one of at least three press releases that the cult published today:

Scientology Steps Up Fight Against Drugs And Crime In Los Angeles

    20 Nov, 2012 21:54 CET

“Scientology: How We Help—The Truth About Drugs, Creating a Drug-Free World,” details how Los Angeles County law enforcement uses the Church of Scientology’s Truth About Drugs program to fight addiction scourge.

Rev. Bob Adams, Church of Scientology International (left), and L.A. County Sheriff’s Multi-Faith Clergy Council Director Bishop Edward Turner (right) present Sheriff Leroy Baca with a certificate of appreciation for his leadership in drug education and prevention.

LOS ANGELES---Through Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, more than 2,000 at-risk youth have completed Truth About Drugs education.

Featured in the newly released brochure, Scientology: How We Help—The Truth About Drugs, Creating a Drug-Free World, cooperation between law enforcement, community activists and religious groups throughout the city has served as a model for communities everywhere in fighting drug addiction and crime.

In the face of the undeniable cause-and-effect relationship between drug abuse and crime rates, Scientologists brought the Truth About Drugs program to the two leading Los Angeles law enforcement agencies that battle crime and drug abuse: the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), the world’s largest sheriff’s department.

The LAPD distributes thousands of copies of The Truth About Drugs booklets at its stations across the city and holds drug prevention community activities such as “National Night Out,” an annual initiative that fosters crime prevention activities to create safer neighborhoods through community partnerships.

A police station commander in Los Angeles described the value of the Truth About Drugs program in his precinct: “The educational pamphlets and videos have been invaluable in educating the community on the negative repercussions that illegal drugs have on society.”

A sergeant who uses the materials daily in his work said: “Everything in the Truth About Drugs curriculum is pure gold. There is no message about drug abuse that is more penetrating than what this program provides—we can’t top it.”

In 2011, the Los Angeles County Sheriff directed members of his Multi-Faith Clergy Council to undergo training on the Truth About Drugs education curriculum, encouraging them to bring the program to their neighborhoods. Nearly 200 clergy representing a broad range of faiths, including Jews, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs, participated in the four-week course.

The Sheriff described the results of his department’s implementation of the program: “The Truth About Drugs education program that the Church of Scientology supports means everything to the safety of our schools and neighborhoods. It is a tremendously successful program worldwide and particularly needed. This is why we have trained a corps of our own officers in the use of this unparalleled program.”

Billed as a biker rally to promote peace and unity in gang-infested areas of Los Angeles, the “United in Peace Festival” featured motorcycle enthusiasts handing out plastic bags containing a Nation of Islam pamphlet and Hubbard’s slim volume of anodyne life advice (“take care of yourself,” “do not murder,” etc.).
Baca heartily brandished the publications, as you can see in the photo above.

General Hafeezah is AWESOME! Anyone who has anything bad to say about her, can't possibly have ever known her or had personal or business dealings with her. Her integrity is above reproach. She promotes the Benefits of Dianetic Auditing. Pure and simple. No more, no less
  34. jensting Member

Awesome! Does she get also the 10% "FSM" commission on all the scientology auditing she sells apart from that which she "gives" herself?

I realize that California is a suicide-state with no helmets required, but NONE of those idiots are wearing proper gear. Those stupid vests would be completely useless if you went down, where are their gloves and those shoes... might as well wear flip-flops!

All gear all the time! Don't make me post road-rash photos!

  36. I know General Hafeezah as a great Auditor. Even though I don't know her to promote Scientology, I DO know that she has helped me a lot with Auditing. She also gave me some wonderful insight into my abusive relationship and because of her, I found the courage to seek some help and have now moved out on my own and am doing quite well. I credit her with all of it. She never talked to me about Scientology, only about Auditing. Great Lady who really fights for the rights of disenfranchised persons.

  37. Hey Lisa: I know General Hafeezah also. Glad you posted. I agree that she is awesome. I can't tell you how much she has helped me. I don't think these others who say something negative about her even know her. They are just upset about anything remotely having to do with Scientologist and are attacking everyone they think has anything to do with the Orgs. They have No fact whats-so-every when it comes to that lady. I love her!
  38. Hello Anonymous

Just came across this site. A lady called and told me to look at it. I saw your post. Thank You for what you said. Yes, I am the lady who came out and offered the protestors some water. Funny how a small act of kindness can be remembered and recorded for history on a site I never would have found without a phone call. I remember talking with you guys who were protesting. I even took pictures with you guys, remember that? As I remember, you all were posted across the street from the Nashville Org. I came out to ask what the fuss was all about. Thank you all for being so kind and respectful while verbalizing your complaints. It just goes to prove we can agree to disagree and without being disagreeable. God Bless! and stay Kind to all regardless of Theology. It is God's Way!

    General Hafeezah
