Oklahoma. Not to excuse his blowing off the investigation of the deaths at Narconon, but it's quite possible that he was duped by them rather than being a knowing shill. His son had been in trouble for a while, and they would have played on a loving parent's fears and hopes, had him speak to carefully selected successes from Narconon, worked him over with the story of how people are out to get them because it works, etc, etc. Desperate people will grab hold of anything when normal treatments fail. I'd rather feel compassion and possibly be wrong, than not feel anything at all.
