New OT8 consists of two parts; A and B. Part A is E-meter drills and drilling actions required on a C/S 53 (this is an action supposed to find and "handle" mental trauma arising from past bad auditing or life situations that will interfere with auditing) Part B consists of reading History of Man and getting very thoroughly checked out on it, and studying and solo-auditing New OT8.

The description of the rundown given in the materials is not at all precise. In that respect it differs from all other actions I did in Scientology. There is no question(s) given in quotation marks. The instructions simply state that you have to look over your past auditing and take the past-life identities you have discovered you were and check them on the E-meter to see if they are true or false. You cannot look at your folders so you do the identities you remember. Some of the people initially responsible for supervising OT8 were RPF'd for giving us suggestions on what to do. Without words put in our mouths we did not know what to do.

The first thing you do is the C/S 53. Then the instructions from the Case Supervisor consist of
    1. Fly a rud (ie. "handle" anything your attention is on)
    2. OT8.
and the instructions do not change throughout the rundown.

Here is an example of what I did in an actual session, and what I wrote because I had to write down what I did. I took the identity "Beethoven" because I remembered having "realised" in auditing that I "was" Beethoven. I looked at the E-meter I was connected to and I thought about being Beethoven and I thought the question "True?" and looked to see if the meter reacted. It didn't. I thought the question "False?" and the meter reacted. So I had NOT actually been Beethoven. Here is what I wrote (it's in French, my native tongue)
Vrai? x ("x" means no meter reaction)
Faux? LF ("LF" means Long Fall, a meter reaction)
F/N (Floating Needle means the action concerning Beethoven is
finished and I am happy about it)
Of all the identities I checked on OT8 only one turned out to be true. I was allowed to attest that I had finished when I had a "big cognition" (ie. a realization) about death. I had had a very strong fear of death which had not resolved in all the auditing I had done. On OT8 I realised that I, the being, would never die and I was "totally blown out" as Scientologists would say. I was now OT8 and I came back home and promptly got sick.

Because of the hype OT8s are regarded as demi-gods and have to conceal the problems and inadequacies they have. I had the opportunity to study the "cases" of some OT8s and speak with others and I realised I was by no means the only OT8 with problems. Some of the problems suffered by OT8s are alcoholism, homosexuality (regarded by Scientology as a degraded, perverted activity only indulged in by individuals who are not worthy of having ANY rights in society), extra-marital affairs, voyeurism, heart attacks, strokes, criminality, and divorce.

That makes complete, unbiased sense. LOL

I'd guess that Kansas' 97% literacy rate would be a red flag. The state certainly doesn't want all its citizens literate. What would its neighbors think?

An interesting observation: last year, ASI was on Kansas' SES list. Are you implying Kansas determined literacy was overrated and therefore removed Study Tech the following year in an effort to hinder literacy or to even promote illiteracy? Or, (this might bother you a bit) could it have evaluated the program and realized it for what it is - lacking in valid pedagogy, practical application results, and implementation usefulness (not to mention the whole church/state separation issue. Damn that pesky US Constitution.)

Please provide the valid, objective research that proves Study Tech has "quite literally salvaged millions of lives". Stand behind your claims. (There isn't any, so I won't be holding my breath.) No Child Left Behind has loopholes, especially noticeable when first implemented. That's likely the significant reason your snake-oil-cult-tech was able to slip through, unnoticed. But, like with most situations, the truth will out, and in this case - it did. Unfortunately for you, there's a heightened focus on regular, rigorous student assessment. Oops!

A little trivia for you - people were using dictionaries as early as 2300 BCE. "Word clearing" is nothing special, innovative, or something Hubbard developed.

Another direct answer, excellent:D Last question:
Why not? If I walked into a Catholic church and asked for a bible, they'd lend it to me gladly. Why shouldn't Scientology do the same?

This is like offering someone who wants to program the computer, an animated gif on the use of Ctrl/Alt/Del. An evasive reply much like a politician or a marketing spokesman.

No, by getting rid of everyone who doesn't agree with Scientology or is unwilling to follow the word of Ron. Same with insanity. They will cure it by disposing of it quietly, and without sorrow.

If you think that Scientology can prevent war, why wouldn't you proselytize, without charging money for the information? Do it for the common good; don't ask for money in return. Unless, of course, Scientology is a corporation rather than a religion.

ScnTO, a direct question for you: Do you know the history of the Volunteer Ministers? Are you aware of Hubbard's "Casualty Contact" dissemination "tip"?

    Affinity, Reality and Communication

There are three factors in Scientology which are of the utmost importance in handling life. These three factors answer the questions: How should I talk to people? How can I give new ideas to people? How can I find what people are thinking about? How can I handle my work better?

These three factors in Scientology are called the ARC triangle. The abbreviation ARC (pronounced A-R-C rather than arc) is one of the most useful terms yet devised.

The ARC triangle is called a triangle because it has three related points. The first of these points is affinity. The second of these points is reality. The third of these points and the most important is communication.

These three factors are related. By affinity we mean emotional response. We mean the feeling of affection or lack of it, of emotion or misemotion (irrational or inappropriate emotion) connected with life. By reality we mean the solid objects, the real things of life. By communication we mean an interchange of ideas between two terminals (persons who can receive, relay or send a communication). Without affinity there is no reality or communication. Without reality there is no affinity or communication. Without communication there is neither affinity nor reality." - L. Ron Hubbard

It costs money to print books and maintain a building. Catholic cathedrals weren't built with prayers, it took money. People donate money because they want to ensure Scientology's continued existence. If you had a plant and took the fruit without watering the plant, the plant would die.

    - What's your favourite joke?
    - What's your favourite non-Scientology book?
    - What was the flavour/scenario of the last porn you watched?

And just exactly how is it a donation if 1) a price is set for it (the course) and 2) you cannot receive the course with paying said donation? That's an exchange of money for goods/services. That's a buyer/seller relationship.

Yes, all religions exist on donations. Yet, Scientology is the only one with a price guide. If Hubbard's teachings are as good as you say, can you imagine the massive donations that people would make after receiving it for free? If it's really that powerful and helpful, people would open their wallets to make sure it was spread as fast as possible.

This is wrong on so many levels, I don't know where to begin. But I'll try.

First of all, very few questions that aren't binary (or trinary) can be answered with a single word. To do so is almost always (and in this case certainly is) an oversimplification.

Are you saying that reality consists only of solid objects, that these are the only "real" things in life? Then Affinity and Communication must be unreal. Why are you preaching things that aren't real?

I'm fairly certain that I Affinity is not a prerequisite for communication. Ideas can float between two terminals (say, me and my computer) without my computer having any feelings for me whatsoever, I'm fairly certain.

How is Reality--the existence of physical objects--dependent upon Affinity (emotional response). Do things not exist until I react to them emotionally? Discuss.

How can it be said that without communication (ideas going back and forth between two terminals) there is no reality? Would solid objects cease to exist if, Xenu forbid, you went comatose? Explain.

None of your claims sound like anything more than the pseudo-philosophical ramblings of a delusional nitwit on amphetamines. Please, please think for yourself. You'll come out ahead (or less behind, more accurately) that way.

Fine. Why shouldn't Scientology give it's scriptures away like all other major religions?
