If you're going to stick around, ScnTO, I at least want your take on the value of individuals with mental illness. Do they have something to give to society as they are? Because it seems to me that your purported goals of getting rid of insanity would also rid us some highly important, influential people. Lincoln and Churchill come to mind, for starters. Both suffered from affective disorders.

It's been recorded by numerous Lincoln biographers that his "melancholia," as it was called in the day (either major depression or the depressive side of the bipolar cycle) drove him to give himself two choices: 1) kill himself and 2) try to make an impact on the world in a big way. It's doubtful he would have had that sort of blind motivation were it not for the mental illness that drove him to the brink of despair. What would Scientology, had it existed, have had him do? Keep in mind that if their practices alleviated mental illness, as they purportedly do, he wouldn't have had the drive to do the great things he did.

Occasionally they will distort, creatively edit, or even fabricate evidence to support their narrative. But don't worry, you're not the only one screaming at your television.
