Subject: Something Unique from the Freewinds! From: Michael Sander
    Date: Sun, 25 Jul 2010

    Dear Scientologist,
Below is a promotional e-mail about an entirely unique aspect of the Freewinds that a majority of Scientologists have never experienced but now will get an opportunity to.
Once you have read the e-mail, please take a minute to answer these questions:

    1. Are you interested in coming to the Freewinds while we are in dry dock?
    2. Would you like more information about the various activities aboard and ashore while we are there?
    3. If you are not interested in coming to the Freewinds when we are in dry dock, when would you be interested in coming and if so, for what service?

    Thank you.
    ARC,
    Michael Sander

Given the usual two ports of call, it seems the Freewinds experience when she is in drydock is much the same as when she isn't... except for the "free" T-Shirt, of course.

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

    Ok... but...

So are they saying that the average turnover of Scientologists between recruitment and wakeup is less than two years?

... the bit that's normally below the waterline? How exciting.

... presumably because it's, as usual, running 90% empty so they have a few rooms at the other end of the boat away from the noise that has plenty of capacity for the few suckers that fall for the marketing gimmick?

    From the Freewinds website...

So if they can do the "special services" that can only be delivered on the Freewinds in Dry Dock, surrounded by the distractions (and noise) of the 'workaday world' on this occasion then what is so special that they can't do them normally, or on one of their many land bases?

^maybe "once in a lifetime experience" means that they might scrap the the fucker after this. ;)

What's so exciting about props, a rudder and barnacles?
  11. Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

    I liek barnacle clusters

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

Is this even legal? not that that would make a diff to sci. Desperate stats, lol.

Let me guess. Everyone on board will be found to be in lower conditions and need an amends project, right? But hey, you'll get a free Dry Dock Slave T shirt to wear.
Or, you have a choice of mega donation to IAS, and get a free Bankruptcy for Dummies T shirt. Because sci is all about freedom of choice.

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

Dumb people like to go on a ship, somehow they haven't had any kind of a life and they think this is the be all be all. So sad. Especially when said ship has been known to harbour asbestos on board.

I wonder how many of them are put into the dudgeons down below for high crimes and mis-demeners?
  14. Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

Taking a vacation on an outdated dry docked ship, How embarrassing.

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

Not time to chop that sucker up yet?

That's her sister-ship being chopped up. Freewinds is the last of its class.

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

I hear they are trying to kidnap SP's and strap them to the bottom of the ship before it sails again....anyone else hear this too?
  17. Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

The Cult could slap a coat of paint on it and use it to deliver OT IX. They wouldn't even have to move it. They could keep right in the scrap pile where it's sitting.

Probably? I guess they are trying to recognize that some scientologists may have seen this side when they were overboarded for imagined crimes against the CoS.

    Wait.

What kind of insurance company would allow passengers on a dry-docked ship?

Imagine how much harder it would be to evacuate in the event of a fire.

Re: See the Freewinds in Dry Dock in September

Does the Freewinds have any insurance?

A quick Google search doesn't give any indications that the Freewinds ever had any insurance. That doesn't mean Freewinds doesn't have insurance, it just means that Freewinds doesn't have any obvious insurance.

Seems highly appropriate to me, that Scientology will charge you money for a stationary 'cruise' on a boat going nowhere.

They're really scraping the barrel this time.
