Simple DIY Gas Mask from the people of EGYPT

Discussion in 'Protest Advice' started by Unregistered, Feb 12, 2011.

  1. Things you will need

1- Amount of 2 medical filter masks.
2- Activated Charcoal (available at pharmacies one make is known as EUCARBON)
    3- Glue Or Glue Gun
    4- Swimming goggles

    STEP 1
Take the activated Charcoal and crush it till it is fine but not powdered entirely.

    STEP 2
Dampen the inside of one of the 2 medical masks. Do this on the inside so that it is similar to a cup. NB Only dampen slightly do not make it wet or the glue will not stick.

    STEP 3
On the Dampened surface of the Medical Mask Add Approx 1-1.5 teaspoons of the crushed activated charcoal. Do not put it around the edges or or the glue will not stick.

    STEP 4
Glue the edges of the two masks together to keep the Activated Charcoal Safely between them (the Activated Charcoal is the real filter its is highly absorbent to toxins).

    STEP 5
Wear the goggles and the gas mask together for most effective protection from toxic and tear gas during demonstrations.

These gas masks are easy and cheap to make and are very effective against gases from my own experience and others who have used them also agree.

Thanks - was curious as to who had linked to us.

We had backtrack on vBulletin, not here.

James Spader suggests it is from the old Iran forum, where you could post unregistered at that time.

You're right. Just glueing on speedos and a nose clip. I'll backtrace him and send a padded greeting card.

Shame that none of this new viewers actually care about anything except for rioting against the police...
    Fight the system! yeah right...
    What about;
Change the system from the inside?
Why break out of the system to fight your way back in?
You are already in it, why the extra effort?
It ruins everything you care about and thought about
    Seriously people, it does.

It's the police who are the aggressors, not the protesters. They are gassing peaceful gatherings, like in Oakland. So if you think you don't need a gas mask, fine. Stay upwind.

If the military had some spare kevlar plates for the front line it would be good too. Gas and rubber bullets powerless, and tear gas cans get thrown back towards the cops.

Might as well pitch a tent. Ain't nothing good the cops are going to do about a perfectly legal protest, not without making the Occupy movement even bigger than it already is.
