Correction, it's when you post anonymously. It is returning the amount of unread messages that the user Anonymous has.

I like how there's a bug in a message you posted to say there are no issues. This should either recognise it as one link (although I'm sure that'll be a pain in the arse due to the full URL at the end of the path), OR strip the asset proxy and link to the original content only. That's probably pretty low on the list of stuff to do though.
If some users are seeing the error and others not then is it related to a browser security setting or browser type? Also, try the Lulzimg host: http://lulzimg.com/ because, for me, that one doesn't work whether using the the image insert button or manually typing in the tags in the plaintext editor (and I notice in other threads that certain posted images are no longer appearing anymore).
^I see it Try embedding this: (Note that sometimes, and I don't know why, Lulzimg turns the original JPG extension into a PJPEG. That might be someting to do with it).
^nope I don't see that one. just the red x (looking at the properties on that shows the proxy ssl link.). I think I have it.... Initially, Internet Explorer (8) pops up with a security warning asking whether or not want to only display securely deliverd items on the page*. If you answer no then your JPG image host source embeds OK. If you answer yes, then you see the problem I've described. The problem is that on the second image (the Lulzimg hosted PJPEG) although initially shows in the editor it still won't display after submitting the post. *There's probably a setting in I.E. that will switch that off (hopefully on a per site basis, because generally you might want that pop-up warning for general browsing). Also, I need to check in my other browser, Firefox.
What browser are you using? It's a PJPEG file, Progressive JPEG. I wonder if it's that your browser does not support it.
I've been using Lulzimg host a good few times before and been able to see the PJEPGs it sometimes produces without any problem in IE 8 before this board update. Yes, I see that link, as a clickable link.
Anyone else having the same problem? When you click on the link and go directly to the image URL, do you seen the image?
Don't know if this is noticed yet, but a reminder to everyone who doesn't wants his birthday to be expose: REMOVE IT FROM YOUR PROFILE BECAUSE THE EVENTS CALENDAR IS SHOWING THEM. afaik it only goes for those who have their birthday on their profile page.
Trying Firefox now.... All works fine in Firefox. Embedded and can see both the above OK. In I.E.8 the top one doesn't display (just the red X). So, the question is: Exactly what setting needs changing on I.E. or is it a permanent "feature" courtesy of microsoft (lol)? Input from other users/browsers plox.
I missed you being quiet. And playing too much attention to the underage fags. You're more fun in real life.
In firefox no problems with jpg or pjpeg. All works as advertised. In IE, for JPGs it is just that browser security warning pop-up asking whether or not I want to display only items delivered securely. If I chose "no" then it embeds as advertised. If I chose yes then it won't (but fidling with manual IMG tags in the plaintext editor and back again will make it work). Nothing I do in IE makes makes the Lulzimg PJEGs embed.
Logged into IE9 and testing. Hmmm that was weird.... Nothing appeared for 3/4 seconds but I was typing this it then appeared, but the image is only 49k, shouldn't have taken that long to load personally. On second thoughts; using the developer tools and inspecting the image that the WYSIWYG editor added, it's linking to the HTTP image, rather than asset proxy.... My guess is that although it appear for me on IE9, maybe it doesn't on < IE9 due to not being on HTTPS.
The browser security warning pops up for viewing images on this page right here? Or for viewing images on old (pre-Taupe) threads? Or for adding a post of your own containing an image, to this thread? Anyone else having the same problem? Sponge - maybe you'd be best just upgrading your browser or switching to FF. (I understand that's a little beside the point of debugging the new system, but still...) Remember https is slower than http.
The browser warning will be because the editor links to the image on HTTP rather than through the HTTPS asset proxy which I assume gets added in on submission.
Strange. The new color scheme seems to match the leaked decor of the Super Power Building. Strange days, indeed.
This is classic. Scientology = If its broke don't fix it. Anonymous = If it works fix it till it breaks.
https://whyweprotest.net/asset-prox...a706567/http://i.lulzimg.com/75c3f758b4.pjpeg ^ On IE9 copy that into the bar directly. It breaks up and doesn't recognise it as a URL. That's why it's not showing afterwards, but why it's throwing an error in the editor is the issue of it showing HTTP rather than HTTPS.
