Wild guess is he ran out of money. That's the point of the cult's legal harassment. Maybe he was just tired of dealing with the bullshit, too. They're willing to spend a disproportionate amount of money to harass one person and force a settlement. It's what they do.

Indeed, we need more lulzfags in Chanology. Too much hippy shit going down here. Sparrow, come to the dark side and shit skittles on the celebrity center doorstep!

Fuckers. But if he ran out of money I totally understand him. It would upset me working my ass off and seeing all that money go down the drain to pay for legal fees.

The legal system is still an area where Scientology feels at home and this is a win for CoS. But Sparrow's cases have also shown again that there is no guarantee for CoS to win every case. The outcome of the criminal case was just beautiful. See how much ressources CoS has spent just to get rid of a single protester in two locations. I'm glad for Sparrow that the cases are over now.

  8. The way I see it, I'm glad for Sparrow's sake that the lawsuits are over with.

Civil suits being such a lottery, and with the cult having bought more than their fair share of the tickets, a stand-off is acceptable.

When I think back to the hundreds of memorable moments during Sparrow's protest vids, and the sheer high-octane enturbulation they contained, the only reasonable response I have now, as it was at the time, is to say 'Thanks, man'.

I like to think that there is perhaps another, as yet undiscovered anon who will be willing to offer the DC Idle Org services to equal the Sunday death metal at 8 am jamboree.

Oh, and I just had to dig this out for you, Sparrow - hope you still like it :)

ffs he isn't dead and he can still protest other orgs. I mean how many more are there? According to CoS over 9000

I'll believe that when I see it. The only person I trust to maintain the mantle is Radio Paul. And that fucker lives in NY.
Perhaps this is an appropriate place for it . . . Thank you Radio Paul for sticking by Sparrow.
    Love you fuckers.
  13. Anonymous Member

Yo Sparrow, come over to NY. It's just 3 hours away. Though there aren't too many people coming into the Org.

This is terribly redundant, but . . .To our long time characters from the DC Org. Before you assholes start high fiveing each other, remember you didn't win, your loss was only muted . . . Slightly. And look around, your Org is still dead and yet won the birf-dae game . . . .Square that.
  15. Think of DC Org before sparrow.
Think of same org after sparrow.
    I say win.
    Stay on target.

    re: win for CoS

yes and no. I wouldn't say it's definitive either way; I feel like it's more neutral.

The cult lost as soon as it came up with the Fail Permanent Restraining Order case. As always, they should have just let Sparrow do his thing and hope he got bored one day and quit.

Sparrow wins in that Scientology is off his back... and if he had won the civil case, I doubt they would have just patted him on the back and said, "Congratulations!" and left him alone. Things could have gotten worse.

The damage is done to the DC org. Sparrow was effective. Having protested in DC, I can say that the neighbors of the org and the public in general there are both quite informed about the cult. I even had one guy pass me by and say, "Careful, these people are ruthless."

And I think Sparrow can receive the large part of the credit for the information campaign, along with Radio Paul and the DC Anons.

You can only see people protest a place relentlessly so many times -- then stop and talk to them and discover they're not crazy -- without asking yourself, "What's wrong with this 'church'?"

Hey, Sparrow brought us the best court transcript in the history of duelling with Scientology lawyers. Well worth the price of admission!

You are very welcome, Sparrow. You have shown that the scientologists have less confront than most WOGS.
BTW, I think you should produce a Hat Write-Up of your protest tech so we can emulate it. Please provide.

I am so fucking sick of this ten more crap. Assholes like you throw that around when you are siting in the safety of you armchair. Get off your ass and do 1 10th of what he did and you will realize that every Anon is important and there is a real person there behind the mask. Who are these other ten people??? RadioPaul was the only one to ever do near what Sparrow did and Thirdman and Made of Win Hubbard Telescope were the only regulars. Really where are these ten you are talking about you ass?

It really shouldn't be hard to find someone to replace sparrow. He isn't special. All you need to find is another drunk to make an ass out of himself by screaming at people just trying to go about their business. Seriously, any crazy bum should do the trick. Put him in a Hawaiian shirt and nobody will even know the difference.

    Clearly not. (!?)

The only reason I didn't click on "Like" for this is it makes it sound like Sparrow is over and Scientology won.

In reality, a New Golden Era of Win for anonsparrow commences...

Of course not. You can exhibit any photographs you like in public [apart from pornographic ones]. It's freedom of speech/expression. Sparrow photograph is not him, and Sparrow's photograph is not party to the settlement agreement.
