The Austrailian Vaccination Awareness Network recently held one of their echo chamber meetings in which they share organic finger foods and speculate about BigPharma's plans to ruin everything.

One of their speakers, a genuinely fearless person named Scott Harrison, started his talk with a personal comment about how he'd had allergies, eczema, and ADHD as a child, and was also vaccinated. The room chuckled and smiled in sympathy.

But then he said that correlation doesn't equal causation, and the room fell silent. He went on to say that today, rather than dropping dead people survive these infections but must live with the disabilities they cause. And he stressed the importance of herd immunity to the success of any individual vaccination.

When Mr. Harrison finished the MC turned to the audience and said, apologetically, "We didn't know what he would talk about when we invited him to speak." Lol.

I salute you, Mr. Harrison. For you have trolled deep amongst the derps.

I think its only fair that you declare your bias on the subject of medicine before attempting to persecute this woman. Is it not true that a member of a pro-pharma health lobby contacted you and asked you to make this post of their behalf? Is it also not true that you are a licensed medical practitioner? It makes sense that you (like others who defend the corrupt pharmaceutical industry and attack all those opposed to it) would attack a woman who is an advocate for health choices. She, like myself has a vaccine injured child. While vaccines are doing obvious harm, everyone should have the right to make an informed health choice. This post has absolutely zero to do with Scientology. Ms Dorey as I understand it, stocks many books and products. ONE of them happened to be a book which related to the subject of Scientology. Using that as a basis of attack is very sly. Many bookshops stock books on Scientology. It doesn't mean that they support this 'religion' or any other, for that matter. AVN only supports the freedom to choose, and yet and other organisations just like it are under constant attack by the govt and self regulated pharmaceutical industry for only encouraging others to make informed choices. It saddens me that a supporter of anon would stoop to taking a swipe at whistleblowers in this way. Assange is also a whistleblower. Did you not take a personal swipe at him also in an earlier thread labelling him a 'self important weasel'?

I am someone who is related to some autistic people. We desperately wanted to believe that vaccinations were the cause of the first family member's autism. We knew two families with two autistic children. One family opted to not vaccinate their second child and the child still ended up autistic. One family opted to have their pediatrician give their second child separate measles, mumps, and rubella injections instead of mixing them. That child also ended up autistic. This was going on while we were holding off immunizations for the second child. Neither holding off or separating the immunizations worked. We still held off. It didn't work. The second child was autistic in our family, too.

You have no idea what caused your child's autism. I would be money that his cognitive decline started around the same age that it starts for every child diagnosed with autism.

How old was your child? I bet they were just old enough for the cognitive signs of autism to be detectable in a child since most vaccines are given at a VERY young age and it's only through very intense scrutiny that autism can be determined at that young of an age. You have no way of proving that vaccine caused the autism, in the same way the Travoltas could never prove household cleaning products caused the Kawasaki syndrome they claimed Jett had. Especially since it was autism.

I'm sorry you have a child who is autistic, but you should really be glad you have a child who won't be subjected to measles, mumps, rubella, and any number of other diseases that would make their life even shittier.

"The pharmaceutical industry" isn't just one big company run by some cult. It's a marketplace of companies buying and selling things, including the companies themselves.

If a drug has bad side effects, that's an opportunity for some company to develop a competing drug. The competitor will be highly motivated to point out the problems with the first drug.
