Swedish OT VII blows Swedish OT VII leaves the church Geir Isene: Straight talk on Scientology Stefan og Katarina Tunedal har valgt å bli uavhengige scientologer. De har startet en webside her: http://www.kswsverige.org/
Re: 2 x OT VII blows btw; here is their plan for a post lolocaust scientology: http://www.kswsweden.org/five_steps.pdf
Re: 2 x OT VII blows Ideas are sensible, but who is going to be implementing them? Current management is all about money and non-confront.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows That five step thing sounds reasonable on the surface. I think they need to be a bit more honest about the tech though if they really want to avoid the systemic abuses from happening again. The entire concept of scientology ethics is problematic because it creates the ethical and cognitive framework which individual scientologists can use to justify immoral and illegal behavior. They're going to have to acknowledge the fact that Source isn't perfect. Looks like this proposal doesn't make room for that. Either that or they need to construct new interpretations of the material that deconstruct the ends justify the means logic that is central to scientology ethics. I'd say that, at the heart of a lot of the problems with scientology is the mentality of scientology being the only hope for humanity combined with that ends justify the means mentality.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows The Domino effect, can not be stopped.... Their droping like fly,s . WOW D M it,s another avalanche .
Re: Swedish OT VII blows i stole this frome isenes forum: Amazing news to come For those that doesn´t speak the fantastic language of Swedish I will give a quick translation: Very well done, Stefan and Katarina!Smile We are quite a few persons hiding in the bushes who awaits the right time to come out in the open to be counted!Wink There are at least around 15 persons that we personally know of that don´t agree at all with how the church is run and who don´t want to belong to the church anymore. Before the year has ended Miscavige will have lost his empire!
Re: Swedish OT VII blows Actually, Herro, that Five Step thing is ludicrous and reminds me the anon Conditions of Scientology Surrender or something of that sort that was posted here. These blown Scio loyalists need to realize that they are in the FreeZone now and get about their business instead of posting silliness.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows can I quote you on this herro? there's a troll around these parts that appears to forget this occasionally
Re: Swedish OT VII blows This is a good post Herro. If the Scientologist had the ability to confront and speak logical and peacfull we would have no reason to protest...As long as the result would fix the proplem..The truth is a Scientologist does not possess this intellect or quality..
Re: Swedish OT VII blows I don't think the basic ethics principles (greatest good for greatest number of dynamics) are a problem. The problem is that the "tech" is such a load of crap that they're always acting in some sort of alternate reality, acting on false data as fundamentals of their very existence. A paranoid schizophrenic with perfectly great ethical standards might fight a monster made of pure evil with the clearest conscience, only to find in a lucid moment that they just killed their mom. A scilon is exactly like that - operating on perceptions that are fundamentally false - except that there is a whole organization doing their best to ensure that no lucid moments happen. tl;dr - The ethics system (NOT the justice system, just the ethics) is okay if you have a firm grip on reality, but no ethics system can ever work for a brainwashed person. Garbage in, garbage out.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows Hope that real estate prices go back up as the economy recovers. He suckered scilons into paying for all of them, but those "Ideal Orgs" don't belong to the local organizations. Once it's clear that they aren't being used, and RE prices are at an acceptable level, he can probably get a few hundred million $ for them. He's not paying property taxes on most of them, so he can bide his time and wait for good deals. Nice haul, huh? Sux that it will takes us a few additional years to make him burn through that cash.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows This is true, Herro. Kha Khan previously made the point a while back. The utilitarian philosophy underpinning scientology, unrestrained by the golden rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you - and applied in the context of a weekly stat push for survival is an insane mix.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows I'm going to disagree. One of the errors I see in the ethics system is ... actually I got this far and thought to myself I don't know 100% whether the problem I want to mention is part of the ethics system, per se, or just gets dragged into it. I'll look it up when I get a chance. The problem I see is the practice of judging people to be degraded beings, lesser somehow than the rest. For all the assertions that "man is basically good", in organised scientology people who are judged or labeled as being downstat enough will eventually become adjudicated as degraded. I've even noticed an attitude in SOME (not many) independents - along the lines that another person "isn't worth my time/effort" because the person has a different agenda. Not that IT's not worth my time/effort, but the person isn't worth it. Ugly stuff. Of course, there's the age-old argument as to whether these issues arose due to squirrel tech or were there and intended by LRH. Not getting into that one.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows You are bitching about the next step you think they need to take and missing out on celebrating the steps they have just taken. Are you a "glass half full" person too? Let's just pause a moment and recognise how much value there is in the 5 steps. Because there's plenty there.
Re: Swedish OT VII blows [derail ] Hombre I just watched that video in your sig and man I have never wanted to hit a Scilon so hard in the face! Whoo nelly.... [/dreail ]
