http://www.theblaze.com/stories/occ...te-greed/comment-page-2/?corder=desc#comments I go to the school they are talking about here. we are not communists, we are not socialists, we are not activists. We made a joke and now we are being portrayed as "Poor misguided minds- of- mush, as the great one calls them". I would love to have someone hack into the blaze, specifically this page, and fuck their shit up. I, unfortunately do not have the tools, nor the skills to do this but I know someone does. Please help defend the reputation of my Quaker, friendly, and harmless community.

  3. You're in the wrong place - we don't do or plan illegal activities here.

Even if that were the type of thing we were into (which it isn't), silencing those who disagree with you is no way to win an argument.

Judging by the tone of that site, I'd be glad to be attacked by them. You must be Doing Something Right.

    Perhaps you should be.

Sure the quaker values would want us to do this. but being a non quaker i feel like defending the innocent

It seems to me that American Friends are rather dropping the ball here, if they're seeking to run away from this issue.

You're in the wrong place, WWP does not allow the planning of illegal activities. Enjoy your oats.

  8. Hmm. For anyone to need 'defending' here, there would have to be some kind of 'attack' to defend them from. If saying rude or critical things on an internet message board is an attack, we'll be following those up all this century.

On the other hand, some trolling never goes amiss.

ok. maybe i was harsh with wanting a hackattack (yay rhyming) but everything the people said at that website got me angrier. just anything that could possibly make blaze.com lose its followers, become less reliable to followers, or just somehow not post something out of context and, to use their own words: brainwash their youth.

If you want to make this happen legally then you will need to figure out a way to get your infos out and educate people.

While I know nothing at all about this "blaze" site,
I fear it could be a nest of small stinging insects to which my proboscis' intrusion may not be warranted.

...and then I read the page.

    1/10.
    milquetoast pissant right-wing rant blog
no liek occupy, no liek quakers.
The blogpost quoted is only pointing out the horrible, inescapable truth:

    occupy are fags
    quakers are fags
some of them are faggy together

imo theblaze yain't LGF, freerepublic, redstate, or someone actually worth trolling.
but keep us informed if there's some deeper cache of buried lulz we may have missed.

    top tips / suggestions:

    - just because someone on the internet says something, doesn't make it true. take some time away from your keyboard to calm down. "sticks and stones", and so on.

    - your current response ("we're not activists, it was just a joke") is defensive and (to be honest) ill-thought-ought. probably you want to go with something more like "yes, we're really proud that we care about poverty and wealth inequality; here's why we care; here's why it's not hypocritical for students at a fee-paying school to have a social conscience; and here's the practical thing (e.g. raised money for charity) that we've done to put that social conscience into action"

    - talk to the rest of the people in your organisation (i.e. in this case student body and staff of the school, wider quaker community up to and including your yearly meeting) about what response you want to make. find an understanding staff member to talk to and help with this.

    - remember that silence is also a possible response. you don't need to give a fuck what the denizens of random-internet-site think.

    - if some comments have been made on the site that you linked to that are unduly harsh (I haven't actually read the comments) then this can work to your advantage in PR terms.

    thus ends Public Relations 101.

    this.

(Plus, I should add that in labeling you guys "fags" I mean that you are noble, worthy and formidable human beings,
whose presence and fortitude we value very much.)
