Any examples of this one come to mind?

    Technique #6

It is important to also be harvesting and continually maneuvering for a forum moderator position. Once this position is obtained, the forum can then be effectively and quietly controlled by deleting unfavourable postings - and one can eventually steer the forum into complete failure and lack of interest by the general public. This is the 'ultimate victory' as the forum is no longer participated with by the general public and no longer useful in maintaining their freedoms. Depending on the level of control you can obtain, you can deliberately steer a forum into defeat by censoring postings, deleting memberships, flooding, and or accidentally taking the forum offline. By this method the forum can be quickly killed. However it is not always in the interest to kill a forum as it can be converted into a 'honey pot' gathering center to collect and misdirect newcomers and from this point be completely used for your control for your agenda purposes.

I think you are being unfair to both Assange and Brown. They both serve different, but complimentary, functions.

Assange’s idea is to provide the original source material behind the story, allowing everybody to check it out and verify it for themselves. But this approach, something that Assange himself recognises, lacks the ‘storytelling’ aspect that gives readers the full context. To properly analyse, digest and process such vast amounts of leaked information, in order to provide the needed context, is a very resource-intensive process. How Assange leveraged the resources of global media to carry out the analysis of the diplomatic cables cache illustrates the difficulties in building context.

Media businesses are, rather unfortunately, not doing as a good a job on their analysis as they should be. An example of this can be seen how the US organisations were constantly subservient to government interests during their reporting – a real issue when proper ‘adversarial journalism’ (as Greenwald puts it) is needed. Brown’s contributions helped fill this hole when it came to US private defence contractors, and I challenge anyone to say he didn’t do sterling work in that field. Greenwald covered it quite well here:

    TLDR:
Assange is in the business of publishing leaks, Brown is in the business of investigating leaked material to help the public understand the context behind the leaked material.

Assange is currently in the business of trying to figure out the best method for smuggling hot groupies into the Ecuadorian embassy undetected. Barrett is currently enjoying a well deserved rest at the expense of American taxpayers while ghostwriting Gregg Housh's memoirs.

    TL;DR:

  7. The title of moderator isn't necessary to control a forum in the way I feel is best. Little things like pm's complimenting a new posters appropriate post and correcting them as a good friend would when they post inappropriately. In most cases I will have posters following my agenda. The ones who don't follow my direction usually just stop posting.

  16. Because Karen is manipulative, dirty and always trying to find an angle that benefits her, even if that meant playing the “I am an old and abused woman, a poor victim” so people gets sympathy for her, yet it is all a farce.

Maybe because they're full of apeshit?
  18. I wonder if Mike Rinder has started some sort of legal action against WWP as there seems to be very few posts against him as they are being deleted. This is the typical Rinder strategy, though he will not do it himself . He will use one of his lackeys to do it as he is a cowards and does not dare to use direct confrontation - always behind someone else.

  24. You are all gay.
Karen and the pics are a lame troll. boring.

It is odd, but I actually like Mike Rinder.

Don't watch Karen's gay pope videos, they don't have any new information.
chanology did 9000 percent better videos than any of hers, so it is boring.

Other than that, i don't care about any of this lame drama anymore. It goes on and will go on forever.
