Scientology is always more creepy and stupid than you think.

    From Tony Ortega today:

Hey, check out this computer rendering of how great the Valley Ideal Org is going to look — we only wish we could be there for next week’s slate of speakers!

    ValleyOrgFlier4.jpg

And today — all day — it’s C-Note Sunday! EVERYONE will be donating! How can we get in on this?

    CNoteSunday.jpg

Wow, the push is really on for the Valley Org. Can you imagine how happy Scientologists in the LA area must be right now, getting so much attention, day and night? What fun.

  4. C NOTE Sunday.

As usual, Scientology is all about money but even so that ad is in bad taste. Do they have any idea just how vulgar that is? A few Scilons must cringe at this but I am sure they keep their thoughts to themselves.

Valley Ideal Org, AKA Nancy Cartwright's baby
    11455 Burbank Blvd
    North Hollywood, CA, 91601

Opening Sunday March 19, 2017 - Noon arrival advised by phone. David Miscavige will speak, as will Nancy.

This is undoubtedly intended to be a birthday present for LRH, because the birthday event for the Los Angeles area is the night before (Sat. Mar. 18), at the Dolby Theatre (6801 Hollywood blvd) in Hollywood - a 6pm arrival was advised for that. There's a good chance both DM and Nancy will speak there, as well, since both have to be in town for Sunday's event.

I'd expect these back-to-back events to draw a larger attendance than if either had occurred in isolation. I wonder what size crowds they'll muster, and what celebrities will be there.

A search reveals they've obtained a special events permit from the Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services for the Ideal Org opening, which probably allows them to close sidewalks and/or lanes of the street, if not the entire street.

    Sneaky, sneaky Scientology!

Does anything say “expansion of the world’s fastest growing religion” like trying your best to hide from the public and press the opening of a multi-million-dollar building project in the country’s second biggest city?

How many years have we followed the fundraising dreams of “Her Royal Governness of the Vast Valley Territory,” and those ambitious ladies who were selling doorknobs — like six years or something, right? Six years we’ve been following the fortunes of the Ideal Org project in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, and now they’re trying to open it up without us noticing?

Our various tipsters have been telling us that Scientologists are being begged to come to the grand opening event, but they have to call in and get details, including the date and time.

And now, one of our sources inside the church confirms for us that those calls are telling them that the event is THIS SUNDAY. Come on, Dave, after all these years watching Nancy Cartwright and her friends suffer and sweat, you didn’t want us to have some correspondents come over to gaze upon your good works? Oh, pshaw.

I dropped by the day before when I noticed the ribbons up, and Sunday, to catch part of the activity.
I only noticed one handler from the days of the chanology, Tim (Timmeh). Was hoping to see Patty, but that was not to be.
I live near the org and saw the buildings Scientology purchased looking pretty abandoned for years, then suddenly being a hive of activity in the last year, and very busy in the last few months.

I post some before pics, but for now, here are pics from the last 2 days.

  9. Lol, I also spotted Tim there. I had lunch at a nearby restaurant to get a view of the festivities and I saw many Scibots come in and out hoping to grab a bite before the event started. The consensus was that the wait was too long and most of them left hungry.

Hm. You guys merged my thread without asking me, because of all the people who posted here to request a merge?

I started a new thread because this one was 4-years dead, and so I could choose a title that was far more descriptive and Google-friendly - I believe it was "Valley Ideal Org Opening, (Date, City, State)"

I also scooped Tony Ortega by a full 36 hours and confirmed my information by researching the special events permit. But thanks for consulting me.

Scientology ‘body-routing’: When no one wants what you’re selling

By Tony Ortega, The Underground Bunker, March 29, 2019

    Quote:

Our correspondent with photography skills is back, and we really enjoyed the story he told us along with his new snapshots:

The San Fernando Valley Ideal Org is on Burbank Blvd just west of Lankershim in North Hollywood. Normally the workers there “body route” in the area around the Org, sometimes in groups, all the way to the North Hollywood Metro Red Line station. Sometimes they go a little beyond that southbound to Magnolia and get coffee at the Starbucks there. But I haven’t seen them body routing the subway station for some time. What I have seen is this older gentleman handing out pamphlets in front of Porto’s Bakery in Burbank at Magnolia and Hollywood Way. I know he’s coming from the Valley Org because I’ve seen him around there on a regular basis. This location is some distance away from the Valley Org so I decided to go and ask why he is body routing so far from the Org and in front of a private business with less foot traffic than the public subway station they used to frequent. I suspect the reason has to do with the demographic differences but I decided to give Scientology the benefit of the doubt and try asking.
