She played Lt Saavik, half Vulcan half Romulan and protogee of Spock, in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (she was replaced in the role by Robin Curtis for the next two films). She was a trainee command officer on board the Enterprise, had a thing with Scotty's nephew (sub-plot excised from the film but present in the novel), then went on to do the Ponn-Farr mating ritual with teenage Spock on the Genesis Planet in Star Trek III, and subsequently when seen at the start of Star Trek IV was meant to be pregnant with his child (again, sub-plot that was cut from the finished film)

I saw a video months ago where Tory Magoo mentioned that she gained 100 pounds when she reached the OT levels. Something about being miserable because she wasn't seeing the promised results and that she couldn't voice her concerns and still KSW. She also suggested that it was a common occurence of people reaching the OT levels. When did Kirstie start putting on the weight and did it correspond with her reaching the OT levels? Wouldn't the average scientologist believe that once you've reached the OT levels your super powers should prevent you from having a weight problem?
