Google makes the Daily News more reputable
Or Trump's own self-promoting site more legit
  13. hushpuppy Member

That's sort of the point that the headline is making; All other billionaires give more to charities than Trump does.
The Smoking Gun links to his tax returns. Pretty solid dox.
  14. Smurf Member

TSG only reflects personal donations. It does not show money Trump has collected in appearance fees & stipends which he relegated to charities. Alot of celebs do this for the tax benefits.
  15. Anonymous Member

    That makes sense, actually.
A lot of celebs donate to charities for the PR value- to maximize their celebrity standing.
Some actually have so much gobs of cash they don't need, that donating makes them feel better, regardless of the PR.

Donald Trump doesn't seem to fall in either category, but if anything in his history is clear,
the biggest thing motivating him in everything, is optimizing the amount of gobs he can stuff down his snout.
I can see him sitting down with the tax attorneys, brainstorming and then coming up with hard numbers
for the precise sum of cash to disperse, for reducing his tax base and preserving the keepers.

And the number of appearances he does (and feeds) - based on that optimization and nothing else.

So, $1000 to Scientology? Strictly for the lulz. And fuck-u to the IRS.

He takes the same position with his parenting. Disapproved of daughter Ivanka's dating showbiz people & introduced her to the son of a multi-millionaire. Months later, she converts to Orthodox Judaism & marries the scion. It's called... keeping it in the family.
  17. I knew there would be a Scientology angle to all of this

    http://www.irishcentral.com/story/n...neys-birth-cert-is-missing-too-120308259.html

When the Boston Globe asked about Mitt Romney's birth certificate they were told it was unavailable.

So let's find out about Huckabee, Palin (is Alaska really part of America?) and the rest of these frauds. Chances are they were all born in Planet Zog and transported to earth in one of those Scientology Time Capsules that Tom Cruise rattles on about.

BTW, OSA does not like Donald for some reason.
  20. LocalSP Member

Mitt's father George had some problems with his birth certificate when he was running for prez:

According to Romney family lawyers it doesn't matter if Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, Kenya, or even Paris: Because his mother was an American (and not even Donald Trump questions that), he is eligible to be President.
The Romney lawyers investigated this question in the 1960s, when Mitt Romney's father, Governor George Romney of Michigan, was vying for the Republican presidential nomination. George Romney had been born in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico, as his grandfather moved there with his wives in the 1880s after polygamy was outlawed in the U.S.
While some opponents nicknamed him "Chihuahua George," his suitability for the highest office because of his birth was never seriously challenged. The reason his campaign faltered was because of his shift in position on the Vietnam War: He went from being a supporter to opposing it, infamously claiming to have been "brainwashed" by military officials. After that Richard Nixon's lead in the polls more than doubled

David Letterman returns from retirement to deliver scathing Top 10 list on Donald Trump

Saying he was “glad to be out of the house” a retired and now bearded David Letterman was a surprise guest at a Steve Martin and Martin Short show at San Antonio’s Majestic Theater Friday night, saying Donald Trumps’s entry in the 2016 Presidential race made him realize he retired to early.

“I was complacent, I was satisfied, I was content, and then a couple of days ago Donald Trump said he was running for president,” Letterman said, pausing a beat to add. “I have made the biggest mistake of my life, I tell you.”

Letterman then proceeded to tick off one of his famous Top 10 lists, listing ten “interesting” facts about the bombastic businessman.

Pulitzer Prize Reporter Exposes Trump's Lack of Wealth, Mob Ties, Failure to Support Charity, and Much More

    Quote:

Most progressives and liberals have long suspected Donald Trump is a fraud. Thanks to an investigative reporter who has been dogging the Trumpster for over a quarter of a century, there is documentation of his numerous fraudulent acts and behaviors. In addition, there are a number of questions that the media should be asking that would doubtless prove that Donald Trump without a question is a total fraud.

David Cay Johnston is an author, lecturer, and investigative reporter who has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Beat Reporting who has presided over the board of the non-profit organization Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc. His areas of expertise include tax law, accounting, economics, business and finance. He is also an outspoken Progressive whose thoughts and ideas echo those of Bernie Sanders. Since 1988, Johnston has been watching Trump closely. Recently, he came up with a list of questions that would reveal much about the GOP’s “Golden Boy” – assuming Trump would provide frank and forthcoming answers, as he claims to do.

For example, how many of our readers knew that Trump was successfully sued by the Attorney General of New York for running an “illegal educational institution”? Students at “Trump University” paid a whopping $35,000 for “Elite” mentorships – but never even saw their mentor. And here’s a juicy little fact that fans of The Godfather and The Sopranos should appreciate: the contracting firm that constructed Trump Tower was owned by a pair of gentlemen who went by the monikers of “Fat Tony” Salerno and “Big Paul” Castellano.

When it comes to charity, Trump doesn’t even donate to his own foundation. Instead, he donates other people’s money – specifically, those who do business with him.

    Can you say, “kickbacks”?

It only gets better: Trump was found guilty in federal court of cheating immigrant workers hired to demolish a multi-story building. He paid them less than $5 per hour under the table. He didn’t even furnish them with hard hats. Oh, and all that talk from Trump about how he’s a “self-made billionaire”? It turns out that he had a bit of help from the taxpayers of New York. The mayor of NYC at the time, Abe Beame, happened to be good buddies with Donny-boy’s Daddy, Fred Trump. That little connection got Donald a tax abatement on a mid-town Manhattan property (right next door to Grand Central Station) in 1976. That was the old Commodore Hotel, which today is the Grand Hyatt New York. As of 2016, that little deal that his daddy made for him will have cost taxpayers $400 million.

So much for being a “self-made” billionaire.

Incidentally, Donald – how do you explain the fact that you paid zero income tax in 1978 and 1979, when you were busy remodeling that fancy Manhattan hotel? In fact, how do you explain not being able to pay your bills back in 1990, despite being a billionaire? And maybe you’d like to clarify to voters how you managed to run not one, but four companies into the ground? You want to run the country like you run business?

Heavens help us if that scenario ever came to pass.

At age 66, David Cay Johnston has not lost his edge when it comes to asking the hard questions. You can read all 21 of them, along with more details, right here. However, don’t expect the mainstream corporate media to be putting them to the Trumpster anytime soon.

Chances are, he’d just side-step them or refuse to answer anyway.

Watch Thom Hartmann address the issue of Trump and the mob, and The Young Turks address how Trump’s money was actually made by his father and Trump has actually invested it poorly.

Trump University students say school was scam | New York Daily News

When 75-year-old Robert Guillo hears candidate Donald Trump speak for “the silent majority” and promise to “put people back to work,” he has to laugh. Guillo is one of hundreds of former “students” of the now-defunct Trump University; an entity the New York attorney general says was a grand scam that put $5 million in Trump’s pocket.

“As soon as I attended the first workshop, I knew I had been scammed,” Guillo said. “Every single workshop, they charged you another amount. Everything was to get you to spend more and more and more.”

Instead, according to lawsuits filed in New York and California, “students” got repeat come-ons to run up credit card debt to buy increasingly expensive mentorships topping out at nearly $35,000 per person. Students were even advised to fudge their income to persuade credit card companies to increase their credit limits, the lawsuits charge.

An internal Trump U. document titled “surefire script to more purchasing power” suggested deliberately inflating actual income by adding in “projected income” from businesses that did not yet exist. Students were told to make up a name of this fictional business, but not to include “real estate” in its name. “Be vague,” the internal Trump U. document states.

In the end, according to the lawsuits, hundreds of students saw their credit scores damaged — and worse.

.@realDonaldTrump can't protect customer data and he wants to run the country?

Data hack at 7 Trump hotels confirmed

Customer credit and debit card numbers may have been stolen at seven Trump hotels after its payment systems were hacked for nearly a year.

The Trump Hotel Collection said on its website that hackers gained access to its systems between May 2014 and June 2015 at the front desk of those hotels. Hotel restaurants and gift shops were also hacked.

The hotel operator said an independent forensic investigation has not found any evidence of customer's information being misused. The company is offering affected customers a year of free identity theft protection.

The potential thefts occurred at the Trump SoHo New York, Trump International New York, Trump National Doral in Miami, Trump International Chicago, Trump International Waikiki in Hawaii, Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas and Trump International Toronto.

Anonymous Knockoff Donald Trump' Website Against Anti-Muslim Speech

Remember a couple of months ago a hacker defaced Donald Trump’s official website with a tribute message for Jon Stewart? Now Anonymous has done the same but with a DDoS attack.

The online hacktivist group Anonymous has conducted a powerful DDoS attack on one of the Donald trump’s website for Trump Tower New York “trumptowerny.com” and forced it to stay offline.

The group says the reason for targeting Trump’s website was due to his anti-Muslim hate speech a couple of days ago.

Earlier the hacktivist organization had announced the attack on the Republican presidential candidate and it didn’t take long for them to carry out DDoS attacks on the candidate’s site.

    — #TrollingDay Dec11 (@FibsFreitag) December 9, 2015

Right after the attack the group posted a video, leaving this message for Trump:

“It has come to our attention that you want to ban all Muslims to enter the United States. This policy is going to have a huge impact. This is what ISIS wants.”
