:deal: KCW Policy >9000 : Theme Proposals Checklist

While it is great to see all the creative thinking that goes on regarding Monthly Themes, from reading the various proposal for themes in this think tank - there does seem to be very many conflicting ideas about what a monthly "theme" should consist of - as well as in some cases a lack of firepower behind the various ideas - as individual Anons (all of them) are individually powerless.

The power of Anonymous comes from the Hivemind moving forward together, the "Stay on Target" philosophy and the "United as One - Divided by Zero" Creed.:anon:

Chaotic Neutral is at the very heart of Anonymous, and whilst the flurry of ideas is amazing to watch, it can breed disenchantment and sometimes be a motivation killer. Some say it's better to have a Generic Theme, or Locally Specified Themes, as all the Theme Production Activities are Time Consuming, Mega Thread Generating and Original Post Forum Spamming that create Confusion, Dissent and Conflict.

Individuals "posting history", reputation & "status" :rant:should not matter as a brilliant idea can come from the greenest of noobs, and "veterans" can still be amazingly naive sometimes.

From the history of Chanology successful and popular themes
seem to have a number of things in common.

Elements any "Theme" proposed should have:

    #1 : Global Theme Topic:

    • For the Press this is vital. Thousands of people protesting worldwide on a single topic, gives the press an "issue" to report

#2 : Comprehensive Information Packs & Supporting Materials:

    • The Info Packs and Flyers are expressing a Concise and Succinct Media Soundbite Message, and provide strong and reliable references and Information.

    # 3: Associated Meta Operations:

    • Meta-Projects within Operations that then continue on infinitely using of own volition. Examples of this are the Tax Exemption Letter Writing and Political Lobbying, or the Documenting of Exit Stories and Family Disconnection.

    # 4: Credible and Accessible Experts

    • These provide the media with high profile "faces" to attach to the monthly themes. Ex-Scientologist's and the Old Guard Critics have a Wealth of Information and Resources that they provide to Anonymous. Old and New alike (Tory, WBM, Arnie & Jenna), their prominence and public support and media cooperation and interaction in Chanology contributes much to this Project. They are the Giants we stand on the shoulder of, The Internet Giant that is Anonymous provides our shoulders to them in return.

    # 5: Lulz Potential

    • Lulz are the fuel that powers Chanology. They provide respite from all the Serious Business. Optimally the Lulz should satirize some aspect of the Organization of Scientology so that a connection is made between the Theme Topic and the Lulz. Lulz also make the protests unique and stop them getting stale, whilst making it interesting to the Media. We stay Concise and On Point, but we are surrounded by an Absurd Circus.

    # 6: Meat for our Creative Division

    • A theme should be something that the creative anons can be inspired and motivated by. A lot of time and effort is contributed by the Creative Division, a theme should have a large potential for creative product.

    # 7: Prepared TL;DR Combating Research Material

    • Much, if not all of the wealth of information Anonymous uses begins in TL;DR. This MUST be converted into concise but powerful information for the press, public and other Anons.

The Above Checklist should be considered as a Developing Policy with regards to Theme Proposals. When you propose a Theme, you should consider what Requirements have been met and what Requirements are lacking in your Idea.

You should think about the Work that Anonymous needs to do in the preparation and delivery of a Theme - do NOT rely on other Anons to do the work in preparing creative, informational materials, and Lulz aspects for your Idea. It's Great to be the Originator of the Idea, but it's also Great to DO IT FAGGOT. Anonymous must Deliver

    ^ THIS

When an idea for a theme hits us it should be backed with enough material that we can see the whole picture. This includes basic fliers, website, logo, press release templates, and other such supporting material.

The one thing missing from this list is that the theme must somehow focus on a piece of scientology that we are looking to expose.

2/10 - Lisa McPherson. We told the world about their murderous ways.
3/15 - While partying hard we also talked about their tax exempt status.
4/12 - Disconnection and the destruction of family life.
    5/10 - Fair Game.
    6/10 - Sea Org.

These all had something to focus on. This makes creating supporting material, like the things listed above, easier.

I say that spy Vs. sci fits all of those criteria TO THE MAX, and I sense that it's going to get one of those landslide effectively unanimous support events that are so awesome to behold.

Spai vs Sci is definitely going to be the next theme, it's got overwhelming backing and hits all of the above.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

    What's Spai Vs Sci about?

Some moar themes we could use are brainwashing/indoctrination (with zombies maybe), RPF, supression of knowledge (particularly of OT3, since it's their most important scripture but they won't let people read it), something to do with SPs involving burning SP declares, and the complete authoritarian power the CoS has over its members?

This would be great for October, the traditional "horror and dead things" month.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

We should have a category of Approved Themes. So that when people propose themes it is not "This is a theme idea for Month X". Just "This is a Theme Idea". So that when it comes to deciding the Monthly Theme we have a choice of Approved Themes from which to choose from.

I speak for myself in saying that Anonymous will deliver:
    a) Level Up info packs and supporting materials for August or September
    b) Zombie March info packs and supporting materials for October.

This is an excellent guideline set, I support a sticky. And then moar tits.

I'd like to make a proposal of themes for the upcoming months. Deciding all of this now will make our lives SO much easier throughout the summer.

    July - Spy vs Sci
August - We Are Legion (Roman Theme)
    September - LEVEL UP
    October -Brainwashing/Zombie Type Theme Thing.

    Go.

Would be a lovely occasion for coordinated raids, though. It's a Wednesday night, lower turnout but it just has to be done.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

Nah. Just think about how buggered the scilons will be when they think THIS Nov.5 is finally the night they screw Anonymous... and Anonymous instead decides to just stay home?

Why? Because fuck their dead-agent faggotry. That's why. It's one of the few tactics they actually know how to succeed with. I'm not getting framed on November 5.

Call it OPERATION:XBOX360-LIVE or OPERATION:COUCHPOTATO or OPERATION:FUCKALL if it makes you feel better about it, but the idea of doing jack-shit on November Fifth really, really appeals to me.

Next month should be about educating people about front groups.

If we do this effectively it will
    - stop scientology recruiting through 'worthy causes'
    - reduce cash going to the cult through WISE companies
    - stop possible spending of public money being given to what might superficially appear worthwhile groups (criminon, say no to drugs, narconon etc.).
    - stop publicly funded organisations (police, prisons, schools) allowing scientology front groups to use them.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

There is little point in setting themes in stone when they are months away, as it is impossible to tell what what will happen, and whether Anonymous will Deliver.

There is no need for a Calender Planned out. Just is Library.

    July = Spy vs Sci.

Future Theme Library (as of pre-Searrrgh):
[[in no particular oder of merit]]

    - We Are Legion (Roman Theme)
    - LEVEL UP
    - Brainwashing/Zombie - Theme Thing.
  22. Anonymous Member

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

Well, the only reason I suggested it that way is because a LOT of time is spent on arguing what theme to use each month. By having them planned (albeit not in stone), we give ourselves large amount of extra time to plan for each individual protest.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

How about fuck Scientology, and we just gather in pubic places on NoVember 5th and walk the streets of our cities in small groups. Anything to remind the pubic that we never leave.
  24. Anonymous Member

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

Yeah. The reason i suggested not setting it it stone, not that you are - is so that we have a collection of supported themes, then people only argue about the themes for the period of time when one has to be pulled from the collection. That way people can support more than one and not argue about the merits of one over the except whenever it has to be decided and set in stone. Also it keeps the Scilons guessing.

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

its called starting to shamelessly whore your shit, because being low profile doesnt matter anymore.

the post does smack a little of the ol "LF" word but the penny dropped a little and i had been going through some policy documents. So it was intended only to help with all the "this is an idea" threads and try and encourage stuff to be proposed with some materials and suggestions for other materials .... there had been >9000 theme idea thread started at the time .. and i thought anons could be encouraged to make stuff or collaborate with their buddies on putting together a package

    :idunno:
  35. Anonymous Member

Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

also not that people should have all their shit together when they propose a theme, that is a bit dumb but they should think about getting some people interested and at least developing some beta works .. which can be added to as shit progresses. this kind of thing would also integrate well will a theme library idea. when the polling starts ppl can see who materials are progressing etc

  40. Re: # THEME PROPOSALS THREADS CHECKLIST #

Just being picky here, but "Caesar" the title became the general name for leaders of the Roman Empire so technically Nero and Caligula were Caesar. Just not Julius Caesar.
