So, I forgot to put up an announcement for this before, but fuck it. Since it's not really a raid in the traditional sense, just a post-game is good enough. Chanology had a booth at the Summer Comiket again this year, and more good times were had. Nothing really big to report this time around. Sadly, Volume 3 wasn't finished in time for the event, so I made a Preview Art Book to give away at the booth. I'll be making a PDF version soon, and posting it online for people to download. The only thing that was a little different was some anti-ACTA literature we included at our booth, and also a petition form that we're using in cooperation with another anti-ACTA protest group in Japan. I also spent a little time around the Cosplay area for shits and giggles In other Anonymous news, the Operation ACS boys were around the Comiket, doing their thing at the end of Day One. http://portirland.blogspot.jp/2012/08/anonymous-comike-shashin-acta.html For those who don't know, Op ACS is an offshoot of Anonymous that emerged following AnonOps' "OpJapan" DDoS attacks, motivated by a desire to create a positive, legal protest movement rather than be painted as criminals in the media. Their primary activity is to do smart-mobs in public, picking up garbage and handing out cards/flyers with information about their protest activities to anybody who tries to ask. Anyways, it was good times all around, and several dozen people picked up Anonymous Comics and asked some questions about Anon and Scientology.
Japanese Hells Angels would probably adopt a fucking freeway. This is so delightfully Japanese. Reminds me of why I hate free hug raids.
Actually, I did see one of the bousozoku speed gangs around here once. One of them was caught behind a red light. While the rest of his gang sped off down the freeway, he patiently waited for the light to turn green before he raced off to catch up to them. That's typical Japan for you.
