For fuck sake Tom, pull your head out of your arse, she just a little girl who doesn't know why she hasn't seen her daddy in such a long time. Your plausible excuses are wearing thin for that little girl. Oh and FUCK SCIENTOLOGY!!

From Facebook:

Tony Ortega shared a link.

There's been some tabloid speculation about Tom Cruise leaving Scientology, and it's very thinly sourced. We talked to people who really know him well, and they tell us they're skeptical that Cruise is actually walking away from Miscavige and the church. But we'd like to know what you think: is Tom really breaking away? Let us know.

Why Tom Cruise Can’t Quit Scientology | ortegaunderground

Our sources doubt it. One of them put it this way: “Tom Cruise is the most competitive person you will ever meet. It consumes him. And for him to leave Scientology? He’d have to admit that he had made a mistake about one of the biggest things in his life over the last 20 years. He’s just not built that way.”

Hmmm, Cruise to competitive to leave the cult? I expect he will start to seriously consider it when it starts to affect him personally and directly. And guess what, it just did...
7. The man is embarrassing. He crashed a birthday party and attempted to "look cool" by getting spanked with the birthday boy. He crashed his teenage son's "DJ gig" and "partied" with models who say he "looks good" for his age, and "sexy in his jacket." I mean, really, its cringe worthy. I always wondered how Katie was able to suppress outward signs of embarrassment.

Every one of his "candid" public moments is scripted to make him look good and they make him look pathetic. PR Fail. It's predictable. I wish they'd stop trying. I'm back in the STFI camp. COS can have that wanker. Stay away from the kid until she's in her 20s and wants to be sentimental about her "early years."

Katie Holmes Talks Only of New Play at NY Event

Published on Oct 12, 2012 by AssociatedPress

Katie Holmes talked about her new play, and nothing else, at a media event Friday in New York.

Holmes is set to star in 'Dead Accounts' this fall.

This article is basically a rehash of others that have been published recently, using unnamed sources, but here are the most interesting parts of it:

Tom Cruise ready to cut links with Scientology to win back Katie Holmes - Mirror Online

By Katie Hind

The religion has cost the actor two marriages - and he blames Scientology for what has happened, The People can report

Sources close to the star claim if he cuts his ties he may even win back former Dawson’s Creek actress Katie and see more of his daughter.

The source close to the three-times divorced Top Gun star said: “Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages.

“It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt a failure.”

<snip>

The friend said: “He has lost Nicole and now his wife and daughter. He has always used the Scientology techniques but he has now realised they don’t work in marriage.”

Cruise’s close friendship with David Miscavige, the leader of the church, has also suffered.

The pal said: “Tom and David have been attached at the hip but this relationship has deteriorated and that, along with the loss of Katie and Suri, is forcing him to question his role in the church.

“He hasn’t lost faith completely but he is blaming Scientology for what has happened.”

<snip>

It had been assumed Tom would immerse himself in the religion but a source within the organisation – whose global headquarters are in East Grinstead, West Sussex – claims Tom no longer wants to be the “face” of Scientology. Along with A-list stars such as John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, Cruise is one the religion’s most high-profile members. But he’s now trying to reduce his involvement with publicising the beliefs.

The source said: “Tom is no longer volunteering to be the public poster boy for Scientology. You’ll see he is seriously calming that down, he will head up the annual fundraisers and awards show but that’s in-house.

“In the outside world, Tom will not be promoting the religion, he is distancing himself.

“Many believe he is pulling away because he thinks it was Scientology that split him and Katie up.” The break down of his friendship with Miscavige is just as crucial in his decision to distance himself from the church.

David, 52, has been involved in the religion since he was just 11 and was an assistant to its founder L. Ron Hubbard. Miscavige announced Hubbard’s death in 1986.

Until his split from Katie, Cruise was said to worship David “like a God” and their intense friendship has been blamed by some as the reason for TomKat’s marriage ending.

Miscavige, Tom’s best man when he wed Katie near Rome, has been mocked as Tom’s “manwife”. They have been seen wearing matching black silk shirts and have often given each other expensive gifts. On one occasion David bought Tom an aircraft hangar for his private jet.

But today sources within Scientology said Tom hasn’t been seen at the services or Sunday brunch in months. The source said he has told friends if he were no longer a Scientologist he and Katie could live happily ever after.

He is understood to be using “go-betweens” to tip her off that he is disillusioned with his faith.

The source said: “If Tom truly leaves, Katie would reconsider. She was in love with Tom, he was her childhood crush, it took a lot of strength to break free. But now she has peace of mind but no love.”

She may have Suri at her side and her mum Kathleen and dad Martin living nearby but her friends say she is growing fed up with the less glamorous lifestyle she now leads.

One said: “She had it all before, and now she’s alone in what she sees as rainy, dreary Manhattan with very little to do.

“She did get involved in the recent New York fashion week but found it gruelling and she has lost so much of the support she once had.”

I can't take this article terribly seriously when they claim St. Hill is the "global headquarters" of Scientology. That is not the case and has not been for a long time, whatever corporate offices remain there. Either the people writing this crap don't know that, or they do know it and are saying something false just to make it more local-sounding.

In any event, anyone who gets something that basic wrong is pretty clearly not about facts, and I don't even trust that these schmucks have a source in the organization, as they claim.

Another mistake in the article is the claim that Miscavige bought Cruise a hangar, when in fact he ordered cult slaves to create and install artwork in the hangar that Cruise owned.

Still, it's interesting to see all this getting more publicity - even in a tabloid.

It's idle speculation that has grown up around the many months he has been filming in England and therefore out of the loop with Scientology.

As much as what fans he has left and the media rags using this story to sell their wares..
Tom is not leaving Scientology any time soon IMO.
Tom is the Church of Scientology personified.
Fake, totally self absorbed, being lead blindly to save the world, and very delusional.
His "way to happiness" on his way up the Bridge To Total Nothingness.
Scientology is not learning "knowing how to know", it's learning "knowing how to nothingness".

Here's an excerpt from an article Tony Ortega published today:

Now, Rathbun provides more details about the auditioning process. Before Boniadi, he says, another Scientology actress, Yolanda Pecoraro, was auditioned. She was Cruise’s date at the infamous 2004 IAS gala during which Cruise was awarded a Freedom Medal of Valor (and featured the well-known video interview of Cruise talking about Scientology which was leaked to YouTube in 2008). But after only three weeks, Rathbun writes, that relationship was over, and it was Boniadi’s turn to be groomed as Cruise’s next mate.

Rathbun goes to some length describing much of what we’ve read in Vanity Fair — that Boniadi was convinced to dump the man she was seeing at the time after she was shown supposedly confidential confessional material from the man’s Scientology files. That she was made to believe she was helping the church on a special mission, not that she was being prepared to enter a relationship with Cruise. That she was flown to New York to have a first date with Cruise that included ice skating and sushi.

But Rathbun also provides some intimate scenes that are not in the Vanity Fair piece — direct quotes he ascribes to Cruise in meetings attended only by Cruise, former church spokesman Tommy Davis, and Boniadi. (Davis has since left his post and, Rathbun writes, signed a non-disclosure agreement that will keep him from talking about his years in the church.)

Rathbun appears to be getting this account from Boniadi. For example, in one scene he describes Cruise laying into her after she had disappointed Miscavige: “Nazanin could hardly believe what she was hearing,” Rathbun writes.

Rathbun then relates this outburst from Cruise, which is in quote marks in the book:

“Dave and me, we’re big beings. We are surrounded by DBs (degraded beings). DBs can’t help but try to destroy big beings. That’s just the way it is in this universe. You have to understand this. This is LRH, man. It’s the plight of the big being getting jumped on by all the degraded beings. You gotta be unreasonable to survive around a big being like me. You can’t be weak. You gotta be strong to protect the big being from all the degraded beings.”

Soon after that scene, Rathbun writes, Tommy Davis escorted Boniadi out of Cruise’s house. “Ultimately, the big being Tom Cruise was not big enough to muster the courage to tell Nazanin that she was being terminated from the secret project of finding him an acceptable wife,” he writes.

Boniadi has not spoken publicly about Cruise or the allegations in the Vanity Fair story. But the way Rathbun writes this, it appears to be a big challenge to Miscavige — Rathbun appears to be daring Miscavige to sue Boniadi over talking about the details she was under contract to keep secret, or many other ex-Scientologists who are kept gagged may speak out as well.

Defector Or Just Defective? | Dlisted

You know when someone is spinning this crazy tale and you know it's complete bullshit but it's kind of entertaining watching them elaborate on their ridiculousness so you keep nodding and going "Mmmmhmmm, WOW, oh really?" all the while thinking "and then Roman candle balls shot out of your ass and spelled TRUTH in the sky? Interesting!" That's the kind of slow dick-pulling that is this latest from the Daily Mail.

Just like John Travolta is a sauna-hating vagina aficionado without snap-on Lego hair, Tom Cruise is seriously considering cutting ties with his longest relationship, the CO$, to win back the hand of his lady love Katie Holmes and reunite their family according to this article from The Mail. Yes, the Mail is practically the gospel and would never [tell a lie], so we can all just accept this as fact and know that somewhere in the dimly-lit and overly-ornate underground $cientology headquarters, David Miscavige is clinging to a tear-stained photo of him and his main ho Tom giving heil Hitleresque salutes in better days.

The article says that according to a source who won't identify himself for fear of getting disappeared, Tom is becoming "disenchanted" with the church that has cost him wives, family and career. Well Tom, that would be a great epiphany if it actually happened, but I think it's more like a crack-head who blames everyone and everything else as they take another hit behind a filthy dumpster in a back alley instead of in their old comfy digs.

Although if he did actually leave skidmarks on the church as he sped away, maybe I could forgive him a little for the boring-ass ball of YAWN that was their divorce. I mean, there we were in the middle of a gossip desert, dying of thirst and rubbing our hands together in anticipation of a long drawn-out clash of the Titans complete with spies, lies, cut brake lines, phone tapping and nightmarish truths coming to light, something that would make the Britney scandal look like a bedtime story, and he donned his highest lifts and pissed all over our dreams. WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN TOM. You owe us this.

We've seen a lot of chatter on the Internet about a tabloid report that Tom Cruise is breaking away from Scientology in order to win back Katie Holmes. We decided to track down the original story for that "reporting" and give it a closer look. Also, we asked Marty Rathbun for his assessment, since the book he published just this week asserts the opposite -- that Cruise is still under the control of Scientology leader David Miscavige.

Tom Cruise Beat His Staff To Keep The Degraded Beings In Line | Celeb Dirty Laundry

By Jeanne Adams

<snip>

So I guess all the stories about Tom Cruise quitting Scientology because it’s been nothing but trouble was just wishful thinking? Oh, Tom! I can deal with the fact that you’re crazy. I can deal with the fact that you’re probably a shitty husband. I can even deal with the fact that you’re gorgeous but have always been the nerdy kid looking in on the cool people. But I can’t deal with beatings. I’ve heard about the beatings for awhile but they’ve always been rumors and whispers. But you can see it, right? Miscavige is the cool guy and Tom wants to impress him at every opportunity. You beat your employees? Well, I’ll slam a woman up against a cabinet. How do you like me now?

And you know why I believe it? Because he let Katie Holmes go without much of a fight. She saw shit. He underestimated her and she took advantage of his craziness. I can’t see any other explanation. And yet people still kiss this guy’s ass. There was this huge story about Emily Blunt and Matt Damon hanging with Tom in London last week and they had a blast. And he just went out to dinner with Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz. Haven’t they heard the stories? Why do they put up with him? Is he that powerful in Hollywood? His movies suck lately. So do they feel sorry for him? Can they tell he’s really a scared, misinformed little boy? Are they trying to help bring him to the light? So do we sympathize with Tom’s beat-downs now? I hope not. I think we should all take a page out of Katie Holmes’ book and stay away. She knew him best and she refuses to be in the same room with him. That should tell you something.

Are Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes Back Together If He Gives Up Scientology? | Celeb Dirty Laundry

TL;DR: No.

Should the title instead have been, “Is Katie Holmes stupid”? Would she give up everything she’s accomplished and the kick ass reputation she’s created in this short period of time just because Tom Cruise gives up Scientology – assuming he ever would do that? I’d like to think the answer was Ah, hells to the no.

But as we’ve witnessed this summer, Katie Holmes is nothing if not unpredictable.

“Katie is a sucker for the big romantic gesture,” a friend told Grazia magazine. “Tom swept her off her feet the first time around, and if he goes ahead and leaves Scientology for her, that would be seriously tough for her to resist. The religion is the biggest thing in his life. If he left that behind for her, it would be immense,” the source continued. “But it seems that may be what he’s talking about doing. He misses Suri like crazy.”

He misses Suri so much? Is that why he hasn’t seen the kid in two months? Regardless, what’s more believable – Katie taking Tom back or Tom giving up Scientology? Trick question! There’s no way either could happen! You’ve got to have balls of steel if you’d first convince the world your husband is crazy and then go against public opinion and take him back.

But let’s say he wasn’t crazy. Let’s say Tom actually did renounce Scientology. Then is it OK to reconcile? Tom is Maverick after all. Surely Maverick could get a second chance in our hearts if he wasn’t bat shit crazy. I’d have to give the green light on that. Think of the headlines. Katie Saves Tom! Katie Helps Tom See The Light! Tom’s beaten employees would cry tears of joy at Katie’s feet!

I’m just saying… if the fashion line or the acting doesn’t work out… it could be a good thing. But, again, this source is probably for shit. There’s no way Tom’s quitting Scientology. He is Scientology. That would be one existential crisis and I’m not sure I’d want to deal with that if I were Katie. Still… to be the woman who stole Scientology’s greatest follower would be massive. The Catholic Church has canonized people for much less.

Is this Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes back together story valid or is it wishful thinking? If Katie and Suri could have driven Tom away from Scientology, don’t you think it would have happened already?

Pffft! The Divorce War was over in 11 days without any public violence.

If they were countries, Katie Holmes would be a major power with nukes and carrier groups, and Tom Cruise would be some banana republic.

If they ever got together again, he'd better get used to saying "Yes Mistress".

wishful thinking for whom exactly?
IMO....
not Katie
not Suri (once she finds out what a culty her father is)
not Katie's parents
not Katie's friends
not Chris Klein (lol)
not COS
not COB
not her managment
not any critics
not devout scilons
not a lot of the public
should I bother listing any more?

Tom Cruise Files $50 Million Lawsuit Over Magazine that Accused Him of Abandoning Suri | TMZ.com

View attachment 1024-tom-cruise-suri-life-and-style-lawsuit-articl

Tom Cruise just filed a $50 million lawsuit against Life & Style and In Touch magazines, claiming the mags defamed him by reporting he had abandoned 6-year-old Suri.

In the lawsuit, filed in L.A. federal court, Tom takes issue with the July 30th cover of Life & Style, which reads, "SURI IN TEARS, ABANDONED BY HER DAD" -- as well as the October 1st cover of In Touch, which shows a picture of Suri above the headline, "ABANDONED BY DADDY."

According to the suit, Tom claims the mags' headlines are FALSE -- insisting, he "loves his daughter dearly and would never abandon her."

Tom is suing for $50 million plus punitive damages for defamation and invasion of privacy.

In Touch and Life & Style are sister magazines owned by the same publishing company Bauer Publishing.

Cruise's lawyer, Bert Fields says:

"Tom is a caring father who dearly loves Suri. She's a vital part of his life and always will be. To say he has 'abandoned' her is a vicious lie. To say it in lurid headlines with a tearful picture of Suri is reprehensible."

Fields goes on: "Tom doesn't go around suing people. He's not a litigious guy. But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he's going to sue."

Fields goes on to bash the mags, saying, "These serial defamers are foreign owned companies with their global headquarters in Hamburg. They take money from unsuspecting Americans by selling their malicious garbage. Having to pay a libel judgment may slow them down."

Fields says any money Tom gets from the mags will go to charity.

Hey, "counselor", ever think that Americans might be starting to suspect that the information you defamatorily call "malicious garbage" might actually be factual? Also, that said Americans might have willingly given their money in exchange for that information (as opposed to the publisher "taking" the money, which implies thievery)?
