Toronto org in stasis

I'm excited for a protest this coming saturday. How many will show? How many will bring free hugs and lulz? :)
  2. RightOn Member

    confused.
the org may be totally closed, but you want to go protest?
Isn't that yelling at an empty building?
I guess you can tell passer bys that they closed? But would they care?

Perhaps push what is hot in the media right now, which is Scientology child abuse and the TC divorce in another busy area for public awareness and where it would be more effective?
    just a thought
  3. TorontosRoot Member

I was thinking about that. And the "gold" in mono too. Making the public aware is a grand way to further innoculate them from falling prey to the cult's front groups.

We still need confirmation that the org is closed during the week.

    of course.
I just don't see the need to protest and empty building if it totally gone. OR even almost gone for that matter.
best to go somewhere that will count?
  6. TorontosRoot Member

The remaining riverdale mission, or the college street east building that hosts CCHR?
  7. DeathHamster Member

I believe the CCHR address is just a rent-an-office mail drop. All the real stuff happened at the org.
  8. TorontosRoot Member

It does have an office number, 304 I believe last I checked.
  9. GuyFox Member

    I beg to differ.

It's a great opportunity to stick it to the few remaining clams and very likely a great way to plant even more seeds of doubt that will one day open their eyes. Cultists are incredibly indoctrinated and if we're to have them snap out of it, we should push till the end.

Right now they're probably beeing spoon-fed BS about "expansion" and "victory", stories how the COS "defeated Anonymous" etc. This is precisely when the remaining staff needs to see we're alive and well, happily partying like always.

Also, dancing on the ruins makes for nice videos, eye-opening for them and morale-boosting for us:

The place needs to raided extra hard now, IMHO.

Riversale mission and the Org. Both need a raid, in close proximity of each one. Two hours at yonge, two hours at the mission. Inform the cops prior to that, since the mission is on a calm area of town.

Rent-an-office places do have some real offices, but they also provide virtual offices: an office number, a mail drop, the receptionist will answer the phone with your company name (and send you to voice mail), and you can reserve meeting rooms for business. If CCHR does have a real office, I bet that they couldn't swing a cat in it.
  12. TorontosRoot Member

I'm thinking we pop up there on the way to the riverdale mission to see if they actually have an office. ;)
  13. RightOn Member

I see you point. And it's a good one.
But I was just thinking in terms of the media being in a frenzy right now and taking advantage of it.
  14. TorontosRoot Member

I noticed the media is drilling holes all over the cult. We can only make it better and expose more! Just need media contacts. Media that is willing to actually to a live to air broadcast AND one at the 6, 11 'o clock news hour.
  15. I just wanna clear something up: The Toronto Org is never moving to Mono. That doesn't fit their management pattern.

The CLO Moved out from the top floors, and it is a management org and it does not need to contact public. Additionally, a new org will be created in Mono, called AOSH Canada which is not for raw public either. It funnels long-time scientologists from lower orgs (Class V orgs) who are willing to drive all that way, because they already "drank the Kool-Aid" and don't need much convincing.

The Toronto Org is intended to be situated in a busy place, because it is lower down on the totem poll. So it either remains there or it downsizes, which could include downsizing into nothing.

Or they could just be stupid and renovate the building to create the next Idle Org.

    -Adam

P.S. Thanks to Deathhamster I am now pronouncing Mono correctly!

So who's attending the protest? :)

Does the rear area of the TO org remain in this condition?

Developers tore down the building that used to be behind the org, scooped out everything right to the property line, and it'll probably be condos going in. I bet they offered a good price for the org land too.

The org lost their rear loading dock access. Now everything has to be done in front of the org.

If someone buys the land, or the building the Org is currently in, then they're screwed. Hmm, sounds good to me. Getting the cult out of toronto, is what we want. Further more, out of the GTA.

CoS owns the land and building, no one can buy it out from under them.

It's a hot real estate development zone, with players buying and trading land like a Monopoly board. Eventually someone will offer CoS enough money for the property that they could buy a smaller building (no empty CLO space) elsewhere and tart it up as an Idle Org for Davey to open.

And we'll be there to welcome the cult with a protest, of the new org, wherever it is in the busy section of the downtown area. ^-^

Plus the whole 50% property tax exemption for non-existent religious status can be re-opened for the new building.
  25. TorontosRoot Member

That needs to be disputed with the government.

If anyone is up for a raid on this coming saturday, if wisemanofthewatchtower isn't busy or held up, it would be awesome to give the culties a visit. ;)

does anyone have a picture of what their sign used to look like when lit up?
  30. BozzWogg Member

When is the next visit, perhaps I can swing it. I hit T.O. regularly.
  31. DeathHamster Member

Umm. The front Scientology sign or their advertising sign on the side of the building?

Post game if anyone wants to see. Empty, but lots are walking by. This was a protest with floozy, an ex-sea orger. I didn't record much, but it was a good one.

  34. Anonymous Member

so this would have graphics running on it?
  35. TorontosRoot Member

Last I checked, it was turned off completely. Has been since.
