I noticed the other day that the marinetraffic.com tracking site was showing the complete track of the Freewinds to/from Aruba. Previously it always used to drop off (appear to stand still) just past the north west of Curacao and didn't appear again until it's return jouney as it emerged from that point. I don't know whether that's do to with rules, technical or choice. Also IIRC the same thing used to happen on it's Bonaire destination when the track just stopped about halfway between Curacao and Bonaire, but looking at some of the tracking maps from the itineraries record over the last 5 days it seems that is fixed now too and there are no breaks in the track all the way from Aruba, past Curacao, to Bonaire.
WTF, I received some intelligence that the Freewinds was in PERTH on September 17th. Does anyone have any info on this? I can't recall the last time the Freewinds was in Australia (if ever?)
Was it one of their "Freewinds Tours", where they send a group to do a presentation to get people to sign up for courses on the Freewinds?
Hai there, the Freewinds has never called Australia. Current position: http://oi41.tinypic.com/2yuwrkm.jpg Last 50 port movements (including hours in port): http://oi39.tinypic.com/rk3llx.jpg And all movements not covered by that, since post #505: http://oi43.tinypic.com/a9qzpy.jpg Hope that helps.
That is a good possibility and all things considered, the most likely. Although the language used (in an official scilon publication) suggested otherwise. Direct quote - "The Freewinds is docking in Perth."
To summarize: you say "I received some intelligence ... (in an official scilon publication)" What's wrong with this picture?
Most likely, additional transceivers (tracking stations) were added in the vicinity. The web site home part states this is a non-profit operation for research puposes, and shows how to add your own tracking station and link into the network. The network is slowly expanding to include more coverage areas/. Some places around Colombia are still 'dead' areas, though.
(sorry for quoting myself, just for continuity) Yeah, tracking coverage ranges have increased since the last time I checked about a year ago. http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?centerx=30&centery=25&zoom=2&level1=140 a bit closer (you can zoom in & out on the website)

Found it. I remember that Scientology was banned at St Vincent. Now WTF's going on? http://dialogueireland.wordpress.co...entology-in-view-archbishop-robert-rivas-o-p/
^ More than that, Freewinds was banned to enter. They are probably going to the islands using Human Rights fronts.
Sorry, didn't know where to put this. No idea what language this is in. Some kind of fundraising by some famous local dude, I guess, to raise money for the freewinds.
Raising money in the ABC for the Freewinds? Isn't that some kind of weird backwards, especially for a ship that doesn't contribute much to the local economy?
It would be easy to work out where the sewerage is coming from, if it contains abnormal amounts of niacin - it's clam shit.

Necro'ing that post as a segue into this otherwise unremarkable passing remark in a book review which popped up in the news feeds today..... http://www.guatemala-times.com/culture/books/2763-our-man-in-antigua-has-a-new-e-book.html [Excuse me if the following has been covered before, but a lazy search revealed nothing obvious on here] ....which led me to these pics found on the web.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/joshgalt/6422683277/ ^the date on the plaque is Hubbard's birthday centenary 13 March 2011. Doubtful they put it there in 2010. (see pics below) ...and.... https://plus.google.com/11768665968...d125N#117686659682670231392/posts/6YGZHwd125N Larger one, mentioned in this unrelated forum for v-strom bikers.... http://www.stromtrooper.com/708131-post27.html "A plaque honoring L. Ron Hubbard in the square????????????????"
Seems so by the inscription. That's Hubbard's birthday. from a robo-translation the main part says... The bit at the very top of the plaque is some Hubbard quote about a persons happiness and ability to create. I cannot be arsed to source the proper quote. It needs moar dog shit on it. Looks like it's at the right height for it. Maybe some vomit from a passing drunk.
So anyway, Freewinds' itinerary changed last week (Dec 12th) to the St.Lucia, Barbados,St.Vincent run. Marinetraffic.com confirms the change of itinerary and was last recorded in Bridgetown, Barbados 17th Dec 2011, 23:26 UTC Keep your eyes open for any internet traffic from those areas that mention the cult, i.e. local news media, tweets, photo gallerys, local community forums etc. Note that the following calendar may not be completely accurate and sailing days may have changed since it was printed last year. Here's a local calendar from the Barbados Port Inc. website which looks ahead further... http://www.barbadosport.com/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=101&extmode=cal You can use the search box at the bottom, to enter "freewinds" and see all calls to Barbados in one list but only shows up to Feb 29th. Currently the calendar looks ahead as far as May 2012 on the month grid view. According to that, the Freewinds disappears from the Barbados port calendar at the end of March with its last call there on 29th March 2012 so I imagine it is back to the usual Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire run from then onwards, unless it is paying another one-off visit to Colombia to unload the loot, butter up some Police colonels, and take on more cocaine and slaves cargo... yes I'm joking half-joking.

Well I don't know if it is the clams that have anything to do with that artwork. I haven't looked into it yet but the organisation looks legit and it seems more like they are just hiring (or got offered free gratis) use of the Freewinds as a venue for their event. They might not know about the shit the cult does or that they will be treated as potential raw meat for indoctrination (or simply as another organisation that the cult can be friends with in order to make themselves look benign and legit).
Handled: I might join Scientology just for a ride on their cruise ship Chris Cruises 28th Dec 2011 http://www.chriscruises.net/2011/12/i-might-join-scientology-just-for-a-ride-on-their-cruise-ship/ Also atcruise-addicts.com forum: http://www.cruise-addicts.com/forum...st-ride-their-cruise-ship-181020/#post1550422 Article comments open. I see RonbotHunter has been there trying to educate. It's ironic that the webmaster of Chris Cruises newsblog site, Chris Owen, has the same name as a scientology critic who wrote some very well researched articles on the cult of scientology. It's a pity this moron isn't so thorough.
