Re: USA Today: Jada Pinkett Smith - "I want people to know who I really am"

At a guess, they might refer to "word clearing". Don't know that for sure tho.

Ah, the ultimate bootstrapping irony: "Word clearing" is made up hubbardese, that you have to word/phrase clear to understand. The perfectly functional expression "look up words" would do.

Do they do clay demos in study tech? It mentions a "lack of physical presence" stopping understanding of something. Sounds like clay demos to me.

This is a decent site for study tech info. It is NOT a scilon site.

Then they are gullible fools for paying good $ for crap, and allowing themselves to be convinced by the person taking the money. Wonder if they've heard of something called "due dilligence", or even that little word "research"?

Exactly what sort of deformed fuckin bubble do these [STRIKE]ce[/STRIKE]plebs live in, anyway? Are they really that clueless that they've never thought to type "scientology" into a search engine? Or too feckless to look at any critical result that comes up?

Re: USA Today: Jada Pinkett Smith - "I want people to know who I really am"

Raven Eyes I'm with you on this. I don't like Study Tech and I know that the scientologists primarily use it to worm their way into the education system and i know that's precisely what they're doing with the Smiths' school. But as of now, the Smiths' have stopped them short of being able to teach the kids about scientology. The threat is there. I know that. Which is why all the parents need to understand where this comes from and how it's used.

But, despite all of this, the original purpose of this thread was to talk about jada being a scientologist and I still just don't see any reason to think that she is.

I think if someone who wasn't famous tried to have a go of owning a new school, it would fail.
It's obvious that brainless paresnts are trusting because it is Will Smith the actor.

Re: USA Today: Jada Pinkett Smith - "I want people to know who I really am"

again for all of you who missed it.
This is DIRECTLY from the Smith's school website: ( and by the way, you REALLY have to look to find this on their website, it is pretty well hidden)

Study Technology - An educational model developed by L.R. Hubbard, study technology focuses on three principles. First is the use of “mass” (manipulatives and hands-on experiences) to foster understanding – children need to see and feel what they are learning about.

Second is the attention to the “gradient,” which ensures sure students master one level before moving on to the next.

Third is the “misunderstood word,” in which students master word definitions and are taught not to read past words they don’t know the meanings of in order to understand completely what they are reading and learning. NVLA uses study technology as an umbrella methodology woven through the subjects."

    I rest my case.

Re: USA Today: Jada Pinkett Smith - "I want people to know who I really am"

Admittedly, I skipped about 8 pages of this shit.. but if you don't mind, please answer something for me.

Do you honestly believe that bickering back and forth over syntax and semantics is going to help expose the "truth" about whether the Smiths are scientologists?

Do you think that referencing information found from gossip sites that other publications failed to report on (such as the Smith handing out personality tests thing) is worthwhile?

Do you think that arguing with eachother over perception and opinion is going to stop kids from being exposed to LRH tech?

Do you think that perhaps your time and obviously impressive skills in debate could be better used to create FACTUAL and informative articles for new websites, wikipedia, etc?

Or are you too busy trying to prove that someone else is wrong to actually read and consider these things?

It was actually my idea, not herros (damn you quoting gods!). Which doesn't matter, except that to say I'm willing to host such a thing.
It's the only way I can think of to get a self-interested c'leb to actually sit up and take fucking notice of what they're putting their name next to.

The practices of Scientology are inherent in Study Tech. Study Tech = Scientology.
