WWII might have been avoided by a preemptive strike on Hitler's Germany. The slogan then was "peace for our time", and Britain's prime minister Neville Chamberlain will always be remembered as the man who tried to appease Hitler with concessions. Sometimes war is unavoidable. I don't know if this is one of those times or not, but I won't stick my head in the sand and pretend that Iran is not a threat.
