    Thank you for the Patriot75

About time to see a push back hereabouts. :) last I looked their Narconon facility was linked and promoted on the local councils website which to be frank gave me the shits bigtime. Hopefully that too shall change. Awareness is awareness.

Ha! As usual, every Narconon makes a completely different claim to try and weasel into the gaps. This time they claimed to be completely non-medical and only educational, but they got screwed by fellow woo mongers trying to elevate themselves as "health services". The irony is sweet!

Yarra Ranges Councillors defer decision on Narconon move in Warburton until March
THE fate of a controversial application to move a drug rehabilitation centre to the middle of Warburton near the local primary school will be decided in March.

After a heated meeting last night, Yarra Ranges councillors voted to defer a decision on whether to allow drug and alcohol rehabilitation program Narconon to shift from East Warburton into the Green Gables Conference Centre in La La Ave, Warburton, to its first meeting in March next year.

Narconon's application to move from its existing premises at O'Shannassy Lodge to Green Gables attracted almost 300 objections from local residents concerned about public safety.

    >> Should the centre be allowed to move to Warburton? Tell us below or email

    lilydale@leadernewspapers.com.au

Warburton resident Tom Fitzgerald said the community was deeply concerned about the move.

*bletch*! Never give Narconon a break or a delay--that just gives them time to go to work on weak councilors or to bring in lawyer thugs.
    She's not a doctor, she's naturo-quacko-path.

Luck to you. I hope the councillors don't return with glazed robotic eyes, suddenly in favour of Narconon.

DO READ FOI Police dox. Lawl! Some srs bizness there. Doing the same thing (FOI request for police calls) is definitely something to think about doing for other Narconons. But a namefag would be required.

From article linked in above post - apparently, this wasn't entirely dismissed in December like we thought:

    Damn!
    • The accused was asked by his course counsellor (victim) to undertake a task which he refused.
    • The accused then became upset and walked outside with a glass ashtray where he smashed the window of the victims Toyota 4x4.
Did he shout "Thank you!" afterwards?

I take it you haven't read the axe man incident yet?
  21. DeathHamster Member

Oh yeah, and what a cluster-fuck that was! And after all that, "Oh nothing to worry about. We'll take him to the hospital and they'll put a band-aid on those cuts with quite a lot of blood coming out."

Hospital should have said: "You're bringing in a guy who was violent, went on a day-long bender, got psycho, punched windows? And is now coming down from what he was taking? Fuck you, we want the police with him!"

The thing that dropped my jaw is that it was recorded the complainant (Narconon staff member) would file civil action, but they still wanted to pick him up even after he went on a raging terror with an axe. And they wanted police assistance to help them pick up raging axe man! Yet in a couple other incident reports they specifically wanted someone else in a raging terror to go to the hospital for psychiatric care.

So WTF happened to axe man that they so desperately wanted him back to handle him?

In at least a couple incidents the ambulance seemed to have trouble getting in due to the locked gate. It doesn't seem to stop people from coming and going, so is it just to slow down police and medical until Narconon can tidy up the evidence a little?

According to Google the current time in Warburton is nearly 2am, Wednesday March 12th.

Therefore, the Tuesday night council meeting where the cops spoke is long past and the info we are looking at is a day old (pre-meeting). So hopefully, in another 8-12hrs, there will be new news on what went down at the latest council meeting. (fingers crossed)

One thing to consider about the police incident reports is that Narconon probably has a policy of never calling the authorities unless it's truly dire or the staff panic, possibly with an automatic reprimand.

So what else happened that was kept out of sight?

Victory! Councillors voted unanimously 8-0 to reject the planning application at the March 11 meeting in Lilydale.
Update March 11, 2014 - More to come
    • Councillors received this Précis of FOI documents (PDF 367 KB) - detailing 17 cases where escalations in onsite incidents required Police call backs. Remember - Narconon were repeatedly on the record as saying there had only been '1-2 incidents in over 13 years' and nothing outside the centre in East Warburton. Community safety comes first - that was the decision of Councillors tonight.

He was heard shouting,"Stand up!" "Thank you!" "Sit down in that chair!" <Smashes car window> "Thank you!"
The ashtray was found on the car seat so the drill was 100% standard tech with tone 40 intention.

  32. So what does their insurance carrier and licensing agency think about bringing a back a guy to be amid a helpless population, albeit one who was violently wielding an axe just a few days ago? Seems a bit of a liability to me, especially if you had to call cops to handle him first time out.

Councillors and Police were clear that the isolation of the current facility is an asset. Police remarked that the 3km driveway plus the 10km walk required to get into Warburton – from East Warburton – is a valuable buffer that would let an agitated person cool their heels. That buffer would be removed if Narconon were installed 750 m from the main street / township of Warburton

    That sentence says a lot.

    So does this one:

"However the local councillor for Warburton suggested there is now not just concerns about the applicants moving to Green Gables in residential Warburton – but for the current operation in East Warburton."

I hope this gets investigated. I hope to God The Australians PROVE that they have the balls to shut these people down.

I don't know why they're making a big thing out of that QE II and Phil slept there. I'm sure the sheets have been washed since then, and their problems are usually hereditary rather than contagious.

It looks like Scott Miller has hit rock bottom. I wonder how much he's getting paid for this gig?
It's probably a good time to ask Parks Victoria how they feel about Epic Axe Guy.

Didn't Vickie Dunstan just state in the Current Affair reply that the Yarra Ranges Councilors were supporting Narcocon?
    why yes she did!
"The Councillors in Yarra Ranges are supporting the program and have seen it how effective it is."

    So.......Yet another lie Vickie?

hello Aussies and Councils , please watch the latest
    http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/article/8813809/scientologys-plan-to-expand-into-suburbs

And WHY did the COS make a statement about Narconon on the Current Affair show, when the nut job with the umbrella they interviewed on Current Affair said it had nothing to do with Scientology?
If it has nothing to do with Scientology then why is COS responding?
    WHICH IS IT ASSHOLES?

That's because Yarra Ranges is the only Narconon center in ANZO(?) If you don't actually close it you are sort of supporting it once and not withdrawing it.

Officially now written on the CoS website, CoS is the (sole) sponsor of Narconon and such, financed (solely) by IAS, with the aim to apply LRH tech to solve the world's problems and to show case good deeds done by scilons.
