Was asked to tell you what got my attn while I was in.. A Mod asked me to make a thread to tell you what got my attn from Anonymous, when I was in. Now, I have to say, there were manytimes through the years I had my doubts, and tried to blow, but never fully got away. If you read my story, you will know that I lost just about everything and still bought into the bonzi bullshit they were selling! What I didn't do was research on the net..... My job at the time, required me to use many celeb sites, check message boards regarding them etc. As any employee, I was curious about celebs that I wasn't really susposed to be monoriting. I had/have access to personel info and it was cool. In many general public discussion areas, any celeb Scio was being blasted by anons. For months I though, their crazy, this isn't true, remember the org told us you were cyber terrorist attacking many different organizations. One poster inparticular was so aggressive and passionate, I just decided to click on one of the links, then another then I went home and did some research on my own. Guess what? She/he wasn't a liar or a nut job, just someone spreading the truth! The sights that got to me were Exscientologykids.com (stories are so familiar, you can relate. We all have a story and they are different, but still eerily similar) whyaretheydead.net (wow, was an eye opener. That's all I can say.) but a big turn off was xenu.net ( it was too much for the person just starting to look into blowing) Then I went to youfoundthecard.com I lurked for a few months on ESK and found them to be nice, real, non agressive people, so I signed up. After a while I posted an abridged version of my story. Many emails later, back and forth from one of the founders, I went public with my entire story, blew the org for good, and went to the Authorities with what I knew, and it's alot, turning over all documentation to them (keeping a copy for myself and one in a safe place...just in case) Scio's in my experience, are negatively agressive and controlling when you cross them. Never got that on ESK, even if they disagreed with me. I was invited here by 2 anons, also warned by some ESK posters to get thinker skin first, and logged in here. Now, I have to admit I lurked a bit before I registered here too.... EVERYTHING the CoS said about Anonymous was completely false. You don't have a leader. Hell, everyone is from different walks of life! There are kids young enough to be my own kids and people old enough to be my parents! Yes, Anons can be confrontational IF you're talking BS, or they think you're getting off track, but it's only to help, not control. As a side: After I came clean with my adult daughter, she told me she has been apart of Anonymous for 5 months, even attending a few protests. She is a long way from me, as she is military. She even told me that this site would help me if I just kept reading. She has called the CoS a cult for years and hated my involvement. She didn't wannt her younger sibblings to deal with what I put her through. I never let my kids get involved with the CoS, but it still hurt them. It took all the money from the family, moved us around alot, and took me from them...work to pay..vicious cycle. As I sit and write this at the request of the mod, I will tell you 1. I am a target of fair gaming (don't exhist according to the CoS), 2. still don't know my "official status" as per the CoS (who cares!) 3. I'm so much stronger and happier! You ARE getting the ATTN of people on the inside!

Anyways, thanks for your story FormerlyIn, I'm glad to hear that you're CurrentlyOUT. Every success story not only contains a massive amount of win (hey! we're actually helping people!), but encourages us to do more work to suck more win and LULZ out of the cult. I understand that leaving the tight, choking embrace of the cult and entering the real world again can be quite a culture shock, but if you've got the strength left, there are some Anons on this board that would probably love to help you get the attention of the media (I just wish I knew who they were). An interview with you, a recent escapee, would probably be a massive hit to the cult's PR. With any luck we'll see a massive outflow, Lil' Davey on trial, and the entire corporate structure collapse by the end of the year!

When the CoS had a strong grip on me, and "asked" me to take a job in LA and "gather info" I made many valuable contacts. Never mind the fact that military girl babysat for an emmy winning producer who has never been known to back off a controversal story. As for the fair gaming, the shit they are pulling is so sophmorish it's funny. It's a shame the local cops here don't understand the cult. I moved here less than a year ago for peace and quite, and not happeneing. I WISH they would declare me, I'd frame the freaking letter!

Anonymous has various benchmarks to measure success, but honestly, I feel like if we get one person to blow and reclaim their life, it's all very much worthwhile. Btw, when did you blow?

I consider my official date (although I was still scared and was dragged back in once with force kicking and screaming to the org here. where I had to face OSA, about a month and a half ago) accually walking out and picking up and moving to get the hell away? Late Feb 08. Took a few months for them to find me here, then they came at me balls to the walls. I thought they had something on me---but after talks with one of the founders of ESK, I realized I was the one with shit on them. Took a few more weeks to get the nerve to call the authorities and turn over docs, but after that, there's no going back. Haven't given them a dime, bought a course or so much as a book since 4/07. The move was not the first, but is the last. When you out them as I have, you can't turn back. Besides, who would want to?! The hardest thing for me is rebuilding my life. Remembering what I used to like to do (how stupid is that!), Unfortunately, I can't work anymore due to an injury, so I have too much time on my hands. Everyday, I find myself pausing and rethinking before I speak as I REFUSE to use scio terms anymore. I'm going to give the authorities a little time to make a move, but, if I think they haven't or aren't going to do anything, I'll leak the docs myself! I have a scanner and know how to use it. From there, I'm sure some teckies here will help walk me through it. Not that puter literate. Also, don't take my bad typing and misspellings, as me being under-educated, it's part of the disability. one handed typing. knowing that now, not too bad huh? LOL

Just for laughs only: When I lived in LA (working at a private company for them) I made boo koo $$$ (wish I had some of that now!), anyway, for my b-day or something my hubby bought me a cute Prada purse. One day I went in for a session and I had on a pair of Seven for all mankind jeans and the Prada purse. I was kind of a label girl back then, not now. I got freaking yelled at for spending that kind of money on clothing and accessories! What a joke! Remind me how much one of Suri's baby blankets cost??!!

I had to leave town for a court appearance and the person taking care of my pets (parrot and cat) found the power to my apt turned off twice. The main breaker is on the first floor, accessable by anyone. No security. I had to leave the air on, especially for the parrot as they are very sensitive to changes. This was 2 days. So many phone calls (transfered to mini tape recorder from voicemail) but the local cops think it's "kids playing around" I have a young teen daughter but she has mild CP and still plays with Hannah Montanna dolls, NO not her friends! Def Scio speak. this was yesterday: I received my mail today, and I got 2 weird things…. Remember precious few people even know where I live. Usually, I get mail 2-3 times a week, either current bills or past due bill, maybe a bit of junk mail, but nothing else. I don’t order things on the net, I’m not on mailing lists’ as I just want to keep my identity and location unknown. Even my mail that has been forwarded from my former address is sent to a PO BOX. Today,(and I will say the first is almost laughable), I received a small plain brown box, no return address, postmarked in Los Angeles CA 90049. I DO NOT LIVE IN LA ANYMORE. In the box was 2 bottles, factory sealed, and looks legit (throwing them out, just incase you wanted to know)packing peanuts, no informational materials, nothing. So I bet about now you’re wondering what was in the bottles… They are a “vitamin and mineral all natural weight loss system starter pack”. Now, I can in no way be labeled as overweight! I found this hysterical! Ok the next, well it’s a little more serious. It was a letter from the US Department of Labor. Someone had to know quite a bit about our situation, including personal identifying information to do this… Here is the letter re-written so I can omit names, places and any identifying info…. Then Karen from the org called---Leaving her own name telling me that she thinks I should really come in when I get home. Then----"you should have been home by now, where are you? Call me as soon as you get in" or something to that effect.

Thank you for posting your story - it gives many of us a huge motivation boost to see people telling the cult up-yours and reclaiming their lives. I hope you'll be able to find back your peace and your pre-cult personality. If you're able, consider taking a course in a new skill - a language, a craft, just something you enjoy - it might be a good way to give you something enjoyable to do and to refind yourself. I hope the authorities come through for you. If they don't - or not at the rate of speed you're happy with, scan what you have and pass it to Anon - we have people of many various skills and contacts. Anonymous makes things happen!

Even IF $cientology has auditing files full of your secrets and makes them public, what you "have on them" is the fact that they made your "confession" public to serve their own needs (sorry Catholics but it's a fair analogy if you add in malevolent disregard for it being "under the cloth"). There is nothing $cientology can do to you that is worse outside than what they can do to you inside. Once we communicate this reality effectively, all of those afraid to "blow" because of the fear of "I thought they had something on me," will suddenly realize how powerful they truly are as individuals. We need to figure out how to cut the realization time from "a few months" to a few moments. Once we figure out how to re-empower individuals who feel powerless against this monolithic criminal organization, the number and frequency of runners will increase dramatically. Empowerment folks, that's our weapon. We just have to figure out how to weild it properly, and people like formerlyIn with their insights can be invaluable in planning those strategies. You can't count on people to click around and pick through original documents until they maybe find something that persuades them.

Xenu.net was the first anti-CoS site I found, and for at least a year the only one I read (back when I was still "kind of interested"). I found out about BT's, Study Tech, the RPF, and the Miscavige Musical Chairs just by randomly clicking links - and this was long before Chanology started. I found the site because it's easy to get linked to and responds to a lot of search strings. For Scientologists, the site may not be the very best place to start, but it's got some brilliant pages that could definitely help a person "wake up". And for the general public (and that included me at the time) it gets the job done, if they're curious enough to poke around the site for a bit and believe what Andreas writes. That was the main problem with Xenu.net initally for me, actually. I couldn't believe any of it was really happening. That's why I kept on reading, and why I eventually joined the boards to learn more. I still haven't found any site that would've hit me quite as hard as Xenu.net did, apart from maybe the entries at Wikipedia. Just seeing the sheer hard work Andreas put into that site was enough to convince me something horrible was going on inside the cult.

What can they do to me...spread lies (they will), declare me (might have already), steal more money from me (not gonna happen), shut me up (notta there either). I knew, when I went forward with the release of the docs, I would be outed. The agent told me that my name could and most likely would, be released to their attys if this even went as far as the discovery faze. I just don't care. Had the door lock changed to a drop down dead bolt (good luck with that one!), have an alarm on my car that is obnoxious (had it put on that way on purpose), and I try to be aware of my surroundings. Unless they enlist Spiderman, widows are OK..LOL I'm almost never alone outside of the house, for the simple reason because of my disability, if I sit in a chair too low, I get stuck LOL. Hate standing all the time. So far, I find their tactic hysterical. I feel better now, than I have in over a decade, and my life is a mess! How's that for irony. I have been letting every "old wog friend" (that will talk to me now, after all I did disconnect from them) that I'm out, "here's the deal, now I'm not the same, but getting there!" I feel like the more visiable I am, the more I tell what they did, or had me do, the safer I am. I KNOW if I didn't talk to a few people each day IRL, they would call the police ASAP. I THINK if I disappeared from ESK for too long, a few people would go huummm... I refuse to live in fear. I worked my ass off for years to pay for courses and "donate" to the CoS. When I wasn't working, I was at the org (you know how it goes) I'm not used to having this much time on my hands. I want a productive way to expose them for what they are. When I found out my daughter was with Anonymous I was a little freaked, like "you're not driving your car to protests are you" (it stands out like a sore thumb) and she told me her evasive tactics and I was really proud of her! Will probably get a few calls and such, but they can't be that stupid to accually DO something.

Someone who has just received a flier and doesn't know about anything except the celebrity angle, needs a site that will get to the point very quickly and then hand off to other sites. I'm not saying that people shouldn't end up at xenu.net, just that it shouldn't be the entry point.

Got it all registered and legal so I also am officially what I often refer to as "an armed idiot". Only in my house though, state rules. Works for me. There are two keys to my door. I have them both. If it opens at night, you're taking your life in your hands. My childrens safety if primary. I took the kiddies to lessons with me, so there would be no accidents in that area. One wants nothing to do with it, one likes to go to the range with me. IN CASE YOU READ THIS KID: (mine) I beat her ass on the .380!---but she says she likes the SAW better!
